Nope. I do not recommend this therapist. She made a lot of assumptions, interrupted instead of listening, and made up her mind on how things should go rather than being open to other ideas. I was in marriage counseling, and she requested to see my husband and I separately and then essentially pit the two of us against each other. She made assumptions about my weight and body type and brought them up (unprompted!) in our session. Keep in mind, this was virtual therapy, and all she could see was my face. Nevertheless, that is so incredibly inappropriate. I looked into reporting her to her certifying body, but (not surprisingly) none of this information (you know...her qualifications) could be found on her website, which was unbelievably out-of-date and no longer had accurate information. Most of the sessions were her talking AT me/us (my husband and I), not listening. She came across as incredibly unprepared and didn't remember what was discussed in previous sessions. Every session seemed like a re-hash of the same stuff because she couldn't bother to review her notes beforehand. I basically cancelled all appointments and ghosted her. She is manipulative, unprofessional and did not not care about me - that's for sure. One more thing that I feel is relevant, though not the reason for my negative review: she does not live in WA state. If you found her via a search engine and are hoping for in person therapy, you will not get it. read more

I am a firm believer of therapy, counseling and being aware of your mental health. I am a healthcare provider in Everett and since COVID hit, I've referred several patients dealing with anxiety and depression to Tatiana. They do ZOOM sessions also. She has helped people cope with relationships, anxiety and depression. Not a good fit for me. Could be for you and your loved ones, but not for me. I've had counselors in the past, much more empathetic and understanding that this one. Felt as though comments like "by hook or by crook you are going to get your way"... and questions like "why are you not honoring your husband". Nope. Not a good fit for me. My husband and I were in a very bad place in our marriage when we came to Tatiana. She did an excellent job at getting right to the point, finding the problems we needed help working through and giving us hope while still being realistic about our situation. Tatiana is willing to work with you if you don't have the income sources but, for some reason though, I felt a disconnect between us because she always felt it necessary to cut me off when we spoke the few time that we did. Tatiana seems understanding but also gets offended very easily and her self-righteous attitude did not work well for my family. I cancelled the sessions before opening my family to her, and she seemed very upset and basically told me good luck finding someone else. Just because you have knowledge of something does not make you a better person or more valuable than others. read more

Not a good fit for my husband and me. I continually left feeling manipulated and as though she was trying to get me to admit my feelings were not valid, for example: "what your husband did was not really betrayal." When I don't think that point could possibly be up for debate since that's why we were there in the first place. I felt rushed through the process and like she just wanted me to get over things, she continually pressured me to do things I wasn't comfortable with and putting feelings aside that hadn't been dealt with. After a couple months my husband and I discussed what was going on in our individual sessions outside of our couples session and found that she was placating each of us, even contradicting things she would say to us in our sessions together. The other major issue we had is that she didn't charge the visit at the time of our session, and no matter how many times we would remind her or request that she did it at the end of each visit she would say "yeah I will." And then charge us at random sometimes more than a week later. Overall, she was sloppy, disorganized, never seemed prepared. The tests she had us take were riddled with grammatical or spelling errors and the whole thing was superficial and almost laughable. read more

Tatiana has helped me so much in the year and a half that we have been talking. I am able to see my husband in a softer light than when I was struggling to understand him on my own. She's a very fair person, and isn't afraid to tell it like it is. If she sees you using abusive language, she will make sure you see it as well. Successful counseling requires the patient to be humble, and willing to accept that they may not always be 'right'. That was something I learned over time, but there were definitely days in the beginning that I felt ready to call it quits. It stung a little when I was required to look at MYSELF (as well as my husband) in regards to our issues, but in the end, it was necessary. I suggest to anyone looking into family or individual counseling to keep at it, even if you feel angry, or disheartened at times. Growth hurts. I hope to continue seeing Tatiana now that my adult son has moved out of the family home. God knows I could use the support with being an 'empty nester'! read more
