I wanted a natural birth so I also took the Bradley Method classes along with Shara's classes but, found Shara's yoga techniques way more helpful with my labor and delivery! I learned so much in her classes about my pregnancy. I was able to stay fit and healthy by attending her classes. I also worked all the way up until I gave birth and I truly believe her classes helped since I was on my feet all day at work! I used all of the yoga methods she taught in her classes during my labor and delivery. My husband helped me get into the poses we learned in her partner classes and we did the sequences/poses all throughout my labor. I was in contact with her during my experience and she was always so positive and helpful! I also attended her classes with my second pregnancy and she was there for me when I needed support! I wasn't able to attend her classes as much as I wanted this time around because of work. Therefore, she offered private lessons! Also, I went into the hospital 5 times before I actually gave birth with my second baby. She was there to provide me with support and poses to help me along the way. I learned about them through WIC and couldn't be happier now that I've come here. They are willing to help however they can and have a program where you have the chance to watch videos on pregnancy and after birth to earn points and use them towards larger items (the highchairs, infant formula, diapers, and so on). They also will take gently used clothing and other necessities that are brand new (depending on what the item is) or in good condition to try and help others out. I love this place and highly recommend checking them out to see what they can do for you!

I interviewed so many great midwives, but as soon as I met Ana, I knew she was the right fit. She took me on late in my pregnancy (27ish weeks), and onboarding with her was so easy. The care that I received from her was supportive, kind, compassionate and steady. I appreciate how calm and nurturing she is while staying firm in her knowledge of pregnancy, birth, and of a woman's body overall. Her care is holistic and evidence-based, and she makes her clients actual partners in their care. We never did anything that I was uncomfortable with (which is almost unheard of in a hospital birth). When I started to go overdue, she was there to reassure me, and because she genuinely trusts the process of birth, she helped me trust my body as well. I had an absolutely amazing birth experience that my husband and I wouldn't trade for anything. My baby is two now (sorry this is so late!), but I still think of Ana often and so fondly. After arranging to make payment with my HSA account the office went ahead and illegally used my debit card to run full amount, which I knew I didn't have enough for which is why I gave them my fsa card. Now they refuse to fix it for me and give me anything saying why they illegally used my card without authorization putting me in a difficult situation. Don't go to these people they are doing thing illegally and don't actually care for patients well being. All they care about it money. I unfortunately had to have a c-section which wasn't in my birth plan but the midwife was very supportive and reassuring. The only complaint I have was that my mental health didn't seem to be taken as seriously as my physical health. I had over 4 scheduled appointments to talk to the counselor and was finally seen a week before giving birth. I'm sure this is due to the amount on panicked mamas during this pandemic though so I'm not too offended by it.
