From the very beginning, Emer was incredibly communicative and responsive, making the entire process smooth and straightforward. He provided a detailed estimate outlining all the work to be done, including power washing, replacing rotted wood, sanding surfaces, caulking corners, and applying primers followed by two finish coats on all surfaces, including our garage doors, railings, and shutters. We appreciated that he used rollers and brushes instead of spraying, ensuring a more thorough and meticulous finish. It was a big plus that Emer managed everything, including power washing, so we only had to deal with him and his crew--very convenient and reassuring. The best thing we did since moving to Stratford was to find Emer & Son. They painted our house a couple of years ago, and excellent job made complicated by the siding on our 1940 home. We recently remodeled our kitchen and literally could not have done it without the Emer & Son crew. They did floors, backsplash, and painting (walls, trim, and ceiling). (Demo and installation was handled by the cabinet makers. Emer & Son demo'd the old linoleum floor plus a layer of plywood underneath.) But of course the job wasn't as simple as that. It's an old house. So Emer & Son also retrimmed two windows so that the trim would match the third window. Most importantly, when we did the demo, we took down a soffit above the kitchen sink that opened directly onto the house frame. No drywall or plaster at all. Emer's crew came in and rebuilt the wall like new, made it look like it had always been there. We literally could not have completed this job without them. We had our kitchen cabinets painted white and they came out beautiful. I was very impressed with the quick response time. From coming out for the initial estimate within a day of a request, from turning around a quote, scheduling asap and finishing the job according to the time period they presented. Their tile work was excellent. I was very impressed with the way they cleaned up every day. Even though the kitchen was isolated with plastic sheeting and we didn't need to go in except to peek, the floors were swept, tools were put away and everything was very tidy each day. I think their pricing was very fair too. They also agreed to take away garbage related to the kitchen demo, for the areas my husband did. That's above and beyond to me. We hired Emerson painting to remove popcorn from a vaulted ceiling and to fix water damage to our ceiling in a bathroom. We only had to wait about 2 weeks for our job to start. The popcorn ceiling was in really bad shape. It was previously patched and painted. Emerson's crew was able to remove all the popcorn plus fill holes where some old recessed lights had been. The room now looks amazing it is like a brand new room. The guys working on the job were polite, hardworking and cleaned up really well each evening and then cleaned and put everything back together with care for the finished job. The same quality of work was done in the bathroom to fix the water damage on the ceiling and then painted. Emerson Painting just finished an interior painting job of our house and my husband and I are so happy with the results. They had a great painting crew who were so easy to work with and very efficient. They did a fabulous job first spot primering areas of the walls which were not perfect and then painting the different colors for the walls. These guys did an amazing job at my house. I had a big hole in the ceiling after a water damage. After I contacted Emer and Son, the response was almost immediate. The estimate was sent to me shortly after with a fair price. They started the next morning and did not stop till the work was done.
