DKD) and a big box store (Lowe's). Right from the beginning, DKD was extremely responsive and personable, whereas Lowe's was the complete opposite. We decided to stay local and hire DKD, and we are so incredibly happy that we did! Quoting: Andrei and Andreea always answered our many questions (big and small). Whereas, we had trouble getting in touch with our Lowe's kitchen contact based on her store schedule and lack of a direct extension. DKD also easily beat Lowe's prices (Lowe's subcontracts so their prices were inflated). Also, DKD allows you to buy whatever materials (flooring, backsplash tile, grout, lighting, etc.) from whatever store you choose, whereas at Lowe's, you must buy from their limited choices. Timeliness: Andrei and his crew were on time every single day, and worked diligently and meticulously. These guys don't waste time. They also asked to work each Saturday, which we were always cool with. Quality: All of the work was superb (complete demo, new floors, new cabinets, new countertop, updated electrical & plumbing, painting, etc.) and finished within the estimated timeframes initially given. There was a great sense of care and attention to detail for each phase of the installation. We're **beyond thrilled** with the final results! Communication: Andrei and Andreea's communication was always clear and frequent, which we especially appreciated. It was very personalized service and Andrei is very open to phone calls and text messages. Note: DKD may seem new since they opened the kitchen storefront 2 years ago, but Andrei and his team have been in business for many years. The tile sample board was old (she told me this after the fact) 2. That "There is high variation in shades of color and crackle due to the glazing effect." The tile I saw and ordered in the store was denim blue, the tile that arrived is grey. The store manager and Monica said that I would be charged a 25% restocking fee and a additional $85 delivery fee to return the custom tile. I paid almost $2,000. The store refused to take the blame and instead said they can do nothing else. I will never EVER go here again for all my future projects, and will continue to spread the word about the terrible customer service I have experienced. I have never seen anything like this. DO NOT buy your tile here!!

It took over 3 months to actually complete the project, with constant confusion over who was the correct contact person. I thought they did a good job initially, however within 1 month, the door had already cracked in three places. After spending close to $3000 for their work, I am fairly disappointed in the final product and the overall process.

I decided on using them and they did a professional job and provided detailed pictures of the work being done so I would have visual evidence for my insurance company. I recommend them. They do accept credit cards but pass on the four percent charge to customers. And they take checks. One thing you also need to understand, all of this was done basically by remote control. I left for FL to have an operation and these guys kept me updated. You might think there is better but I doubt it. So pleased. Added a few photographs of work being completed. You can see the job being done. My insurance adjuster was surprised that a company provided their client ongoing photographic proof of the job being done. A few companies responded. One company was booked until September while another company declined. A third company was able to show up the same day to measure and provide an estimate. MacVane Electrical was the fourth company to reply but was the quickest to provide an estimate after I texted pictures of the circuit boxes as well as an approximate distance. I was hesitant due to lack of online reviews. Phil (Sr.) quickly responded in the same evening with an estimate as well as a commitment to show up the next day to do the work. Phil (Jr) arrived the next day (Tuesday) as promised along with Ray, and both got the work done in about 2 hours. Both are super nice guys. Turns out Phil and his father started the company just 6 months ago, hence there are few to no reviews online. They are friendly, clean, and thoroughly explained the work that needed to be done. Phil Jr was so thorough that after he finished and left, he called the sauna company to verify the type of plug the sauna required. He then came back an hour or so later to replace the receptacle to the correct type. I highly recommend MacVane Electrical Services for your residential needs and will be using Phil and his company in the future.
