Eventually another gym member opened the door for me. I went over to the trainer and asked about getting a membership. He seemed annoyed but walked to the desk to start the process. I tried making small talk and mentioned I was checking out different gyms in the area but there weren't many options. He said, "There are plenty of options, just maybe not what you're looking for." I told him I'm a powerlifter and just need a place where I can squat, bench, and deadlift. He looked up from the computer and said, "Your kind aren't welcome here." I asked what he meant, and he said powerlifters are loud, disrespectful, and bang weights. He told me if I wanted to lift like that I should go to Silverback or Fortis instead. Then he asked, "Are you going to buy a membership or not?" I said I wanted to quickly look up Fortis and see if it was any good. He responded, "I don't have time for you," and stormed off. So I left and didn't buy a membership. It's pretty disappointing to be judged like that. Treating people like that when they're just trying to sign up for a gym isn't right. You shouldn't judge a whole group of people just because you had one bad experience in the past. I ended up going to Fortis Fitness and had a great experience there. If your in the area and want a great gym, go to Fortis Fitness.

She is helping me build the strength back in my knee and lose weight. Because of her background she is able to adjust the exercises but still works on whole body workouts. She is a great person and I am absolutely so grateful for her. I also have trainer Sean who is awesome. He is helping me with nutrition. He plans out every meal for me!!! This is perfect for me because I don't want to count calories. He gives me a new menu every two weeks. So far it is working. He said my metabolism is shot so we have to work on that before going into a deficit in my calories. I definitely can not do without either of them on my weightloss journey. Thank you to you both

I haven't had a chance to become a CrossFit disciple yet, so I figured I'd leave a review. Please, ladies, do not feel intimidated to try this gym. From the moment I walked through the door, the gym owners were asking me about my expectations, goals, and comfort level. Not only did I leave this gym stronger--like, I actually could feel my hamstrings and glutes firing after one adjustment from my coach--I felt genuinely heard. I spoke to several of the women in passing, and each one gave me a friendly smile. Also, I was amazed to see that all four kiddos--all safely strapped into strollers and watching from the lobby--stayed content through the workout. I am not a mom, but I was impressed! Also, I hope that the sweet boy I met today is not the one being bullied by a grown woman on Yelp. He was very respectful while his mom was speaking to me, obedient when she asked him to wait a moment before unbuckling him from his stroller, and answered all my questions about his favorite dinosaurs articulately. I am excited and hopeful about calling this my home gym!

I have been with this gym for a very long time and have been grandfathered in with the price I was…read morepaying. The last 2 months they have raised by rate by $5 each month without even notifying me. I understand things go up over time, but it really irritates me that there was no communication regarding this. So they increase the rate, but the service is doing down. They no longer have rags and individual spray bottles to wipe down your machine after you use it. They have paper towels and a few community spray bottles on one side of the gym. It's disgusting when you go to use a machine and someone's crotch sweat is on the machine because they don't make it convenient to clean the machine anymore. The air condition has been going out at times and it is hot!! I am seriously considering changing gyms at this point.

The dedication that Coach Daniel Schlemmer and Nichole Schlemmer to their members is unlike any person I have trained with. They, along with fellow members of this gym truly want you to succeed and do well! So much so! What other gym have you been a part of when someone is maxing out on their deadlift and everyone stops what they're doing to scream your name and cheer you on. To see that look of accomplishment on your face and tell you "Great job!" To pat you on the back and be genuinely excited to see your growth. That is blacksheep. That is the atmosphere you get here. You cannot out a price on that, you cannot out a price on your success and your strength. Since I joined blacksheep, not only do I look fitter and healthier, but I can just over all move around better. Things that used to be hard, aren't difficult for me anymore. I have way more energy. My self confidence mentally and physically will never be the same, so no, this isn't just a gym. This is a style of strength and conditioning where you will lift heavy weights, don't be afraid of that. You will be strong and look amazing. However, the best part of this gym is outside. The running track is surrounded by various workout stations. The gym is also along a running trail. Best time to come here is as soon as they open, there's hardly anyone around.
