Nick or Steve or whatever they call the owner is a real ass. Sourced 3 Ton of ROCK for a job, went to SPS as usual. Delivered but was not correct weight. I received about 2 1/2 of the rock and about 1/2 ton of fine crushed silt dust. Useless on a jobsite. Went back with photographic proof and owner blamed the quarry at every turn. Refused to look at pictures. The bottom line is when you pay a company for something, a realistic expectation is to get what was paid for. I'll source another company for this type of rock because all I got were excuses. Argued with him and finally he walked off dismissive with an attitude after agreeing to supply the shortage. Returned 2 days later to receive the shortage and got serious attitude from him and the loader. Avoid this place if you are a contractor with high standards of material. Would've given 4 stars had he shown humility in his error but his attitude and that of his load staff were piss poor excuses for service.

Unfortunately the rock that they delivered was not the rock we had told the lady at the front desk we wanted. When I called Steve, the delivery manager, he was unwilling to redeliver the rock without another delivery fee. His words were "I deliver what's on the ticket, regardless of who's mistake it is. I'm not going to eat a delivery fee". Well guess what. Not only are you going to eat the original delivery fee, but you've lost a customer and hopefully a few more through this post.

Then he said, I can't help it if my customers are stupid." Then he continued to rant and rave that it was not his fault if his customers mess up. He did this for at least 5 minutes and then said "Well, just so you don't think I'm an a$&, I will give you $ money back. Then, when I returned the pallets and asked about the credit he promised, he started to rant again saying he still had issues with helping his customers with a problem. Their sod is great, but just hope you don't have any problems, because Mike obviously does not care about is customers. I will I could upload the recording of him calling his customers stupid. Jim doesn't mind selling small orders to the general public and I spent 45 mins with him talking about watering, fertilizer and upkeep. He was very gracious with his time and a very nice guy. If you are a do it yourself-er and are looking to re-sod a yard, and happen to be in the Longmont/Boulder/Erie area, Jim is your guy.

The delivery was on time and the pallets were placed exactly in the requested area. I have laid sod several times before and never have I laid a better sod. The strips didn't fall apart.
