This review is for quality of lash extensions only. All other aspects of this business are 5 stars…read more After a few months of getting lash extensions here, my natural lashes started crumbling. Natural lashes have a 4-6 week shed cycle but in my 4+ years of having extensions, I started seeing gaps more frequently after coming to Skintuition. Additionally, during two of the appointments, lash artist, Iliana, glued multiple lashes to my lower lid and had to rip them off. Ouch!! I noticed that the quality of the application was poor when I could not run a spoolie through my lashes. Spoolie got caught on large clumps of glue and would make lashes turn up, fall over, or just fall out (within 1 week). Appropriate retention rarely held past 1 week. I'm leaving this lash artist frustrated mainly because my natural lashes are now weak, I have gaps, and I'm not able to get an appropriate full-set applied for another 4-6 weeks due to the damage caused. I was forced to get Iliana's work removed and evaluated because I left feeling like maybe I was the problem. Maybe my lashes were having issues holding her work. She claimed that I was the only person having these issues.... Nope. The new lash artist (14+ years experience) advised me that lliana's extension quality had caused a significant amount of damage to my natural lashes. I would understand if Skintuition was charging model prices for this quality of work, but to pay 100+ dollars for volume fills only to have to return (on multiple occasions) 2-3 days later to have them filled again!!! Is ridiculous. I've uploaded photos of Iliyana's work (only 2 weeks post full-volume set!) to show the large clumps of glue, extensions that pulled out my natural lashes but still held on while stuck to the other ends of extensions!, extensions stuck together, and the gaps in my naturals. After having experience with 10+ artists and over 4 years of experience with extensions, I'm only leaving this review to spread awareness of my experience because this work must be supervised and reevaluated. *And please don't respond asking me if I performed my aftercare correctly. This work has nothing to do with aftercare.*

We had been loyal customers of Magic Massage for nearly 10 years and always enjoyed our visits…read more Unfortunately, our experiences have changed significantly since the business came under new management. During our first visit under the new management, my husband's massage felt more like oil being spread around than an actual massage. There was very little pressure, no real muscle work, and none of the relaxation we had come to expect over the years. We decided to give the business another chance, but our second visit was even more disappointing. We noticed the same massage therapist appeared to have a visible issue with her hand or arm, so we politely requested a different therapist. Despite our concern, she still performed my massage. Throughout the session, she relied almost entirely on one hand, resulting in excessive pressure on my left side while my right side received very little actual massage. It felt extremely unbalanced, almost as if she was trying to prove she could still perform the service rather than ensuring I received a quality massage. To make matters worse, because of her height and the position she had to stand in, the sequins on her shirt repeatedly snagged my hair as she leaned over me. That was uncomfortable and distracting during what should have been a relaxing experience. Since payment is required before the service, I felt obligated to stay and hope the massage would improve. Our final concern was regarding the length of the massage. We paid for a one-hour massage but did not receive a full hour of hands-on service. When we mentioned it, we were told that the hour begins at the time payment is made. If that's the policy, it should be clearly communicated before customers pay. It also raises the question of why customers are asked whether they want a 30-, 60-, or 90-minute massage if the full amount of time paid for isn't actually spent receiving the massage. After being customers for about a decade, it's disappointing to see the decline in both the quality of the massages and the customer service. We truly hope management addresses these issues because this used to be one of our favorite places.

But she kept rubbing my back and over and over without switching to another spot. This made my back pretty sore the next day. Then in the middle of my massage, my masseuse left and someone replaced her. When I turned over, I realized it was a man.......I only go to woman masseuses. I didn't specify that in the beginning of my massage, but at these types of spas it's always women doing it and I've NEVER had the person switch in the middle. Most of my massage was over so I would have minded less except this man had no business doing the massage. He was rubbing the front of my neck and put his fingers in my ear. When I was done and came out, I saw that 2 women masseurs were giving women chair massages and that's why they had left me in the middle of my massage. I had called to make my appointment so this is completely unacceptable. Because of the unprofessionalism, I do NOT recommend this place.
