My experience with Collins Family & Elder Law Group--specifically with attorney Madison…read moreWoschkolup--was deeply disappointing, and I would not recommend this firm to anyone seeking a divorce attorney. Everything in this review is accurate and based on my firsthand experience. From the beginning, I felt that Madison consistently disregarded details that were crucial to my case. During court, it became painfully clear that she was unprepared. The judge had to remind her multiple times that she held the burden of proof--not my ex‑wife's attorney. Her responses were limited to statements like "the event didn't happen that way," without offering any explanation of what did happen. Watching her freeze in the courtroom was like watching a deer caught in headlights. Within minutes, even my ex‑wife realized the case was lost, and the smirk on her face said it all. It was humiliating. After losing the case--and $14,500--Madison attempted to reassure me with "it's not the end of the world," which only added insult to injury. I walked out of that meeting wondering why I hadn't recognized the red flags sooner. I later emailed her, expressing my disappointment in a calm and civil manner. Her response was dismissive, claiming she was "shocked" that I felt this way. Considering I had just lost a major custody and child support case, had to pay my ex‑wife's attorney fees, and had watched my own attorney fail to advocate for me, her reaction was baffling. When I scheduled a follow‑up meeting to discuss next steps, Madison arrived with her supervisor--and a release form. Because I expressed dissatisfaction, they were prepared to drop me as a client unless I paid an additional $3,000 to finalize the divorce. Not once did she acknowledge her lack of preparation or offer any accountability. The firm's urgency to secure more payment was the only thing they showed real aggression about throughout the entire process. In the end, I lost more money with this firm than I would have if I had simply accepted being steamrolled by my ex‑wife's attorney from the start. My experience with Collins Family & Elder Law Group was costly, frustrating, and disheartening. I cannot recommend their services.
