During this time, the school did not have hot water or hand sanitizer at the ready. You are drawing other students, family, and friends blood. Without properly being able to wash your hands. The day after we finished classes the school was closed because employees got sick from contaminated building. Classes should have started back up on November 11 - December 18. However, the school just opened back up today, December 11. If a student like me could not conform to this change in their schedule, you have to pay a $100 cancelation fee. Because they ordered books and uniform. The school was contaminated nobody could go in the building why should these students want these books and uniforms. But for those still choosing to go they do give extra 5 bonus points if you leave a good review.

This location is convenient for me. Now I do want to start off by saying after so long and several trials and errors, I can proudly say I am CCRI's Class of 2025! I graduated happily last month and that was all thanks to the Fresh Start Scholarship that the school provides it gives students 2 years free to obtain their associates degree to returning students and adult learners like myself. It was my saving grace, between this scholarship and Pell grants I got my degree debt free, didn't pay not one Penny thank you CCRI! I attended mostly online classes which was perfect as I was working while going to school. But I did attend few of my classes in person and I did enjoy the professors very much- they're much better than when I remember from way back when- they seemed to care and were able to teach properly without just reading you a PowerPoint. The campus is huge and has tons of space to study, cozy chairs and tables and a lot of common areas to mingle and catch up. I also was apart of Phi Theta Kappa the International Honor Society for 2 year colleges. The school has a chapter if you get accepted into the program please join it's so worth it so many perks- this is invite only based on your academic excellence grades. They also have tons of clubs get involved and meet new people and have fun. My guidance counselor Dennis B was awesome. He helped me with my game plan the whole way through and helped me succeed and he was my saving grace! It starts off great when you have an academic advisor on the same page as you. Also if you're struggling financially and think you have to quit school- don't. Check out your options and resources at the school, they might be able to help. Essentially they want to see you win not lose. CCRI was great to me. But I don't miss that huge hill and the horrendous parking, or forgetting where I parked because I was running late to class, that's the only thing I don't miss. To students fresh out of high school you DONT have to attend a university or an expensive school right away just because someone said so, CCRI is perfect to go debt free and get the same education as everyone else. That's just my opinion. Especially since right out of high school we don't know what we want to do or if we do we change our mind several times. Give it a go! Adult learners as well go back and get that degree!

Community College of Rhode Island (CCRI) was established in 1964 and is the only public community…read morecollege in RI and it's the largest in New England. The main location is in Warwick and there are various other locations throughout the state; those locations are Providence, Lincoln, Newport, and Westerly. There are approximately 16,000 students and 300 staff. This building in Warwick, was built as a brutalist style; it was considered contemporary in the 1970s. I think it looks like a large submarine; personally, I think it's an ugly building lol. The parking lot is huge but always packed; it's on a hill so if you're parked all the way at the bottom of the hill, you're going to need to give yourself extra time to get to class. I took a few semesters at CCRI, and many of those classes were at this campus. Since this college was more affordable for me, this was the best route at the time. I had a good experience while studying there. The teachers I had were decent. My plan was to get my Associates degree and then transfer to a 4 year college. I deducted a star because the wait-list for certain programs was astronomical. I was on a wait-list for the X-ray technician program and that was about a 3-5 year long wait from what I recall. Overall, I think it's a great school to start your college career after high school. It's also a great place to take refresher courses. They also offer 1 year certificate programs. If I was still living in RI, I would definitely take some courses, especially if it's free or partially free.

We felt comfortable with the teachers, the administrative staff and parents. Our children had a smooth transition. They were coming from the public school system and we have seen the academic progress since they started at this school. The school has an excellent arts program that provides the children with opportunity of growth and learning. The school offers classes like acting performance, music and art and our children have benefited from those classes and they feel happy and enthusiastic. The small class size makes a difference with each student and we have seen the difference coming from the public school system. The Christian teachings at the school have fomented their faith greatly. It has been a true blessing the experience at BCA

I flew solo as did another female I met but I also got to meet several couples and friends that all had a great day taking this course! I started my day a complete newbie! Never handled a firearm, had very little knowledge, was nervous / intimidated. The in class portion ran from 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM and was super informative. Firearm safety is paramount and Bill was great at reinforcing that. We were able to handle revolvers, semi automatic weapons and ammunition, up close and personal. There was also stance and firing practice that really helped me get more comfortable handling a firearm. The range time ran from about 2:30 - 5:00 PM and was very exciting for me. Bill was there every step of the way offering guidance. This class was worth every penny. I got to receive my "Commonwealth of Massachusetts - Basic Firearms Safety Certificate" and the "NRA - Basics of Pistol Shooting Guide" plus being able to use all of the guns, safety gear, targets and ammo at the range. Bill is just the best! I would recommend any class he teaches. He is a friendly guy who loves what he does and it shows. Beginner or seasoned vet - check out the classes at Patriot Firearm & Defense! If you are nervous about taking a weapons class or using a gun for the first time - don't be. This is the class for you. Bill is extremely considerate of his students and really takes the time to make sure everyone is comfortable and knowledgeable by the time the class is over. He mixes real passion for his craft with practical guidance and recommendations. And he's got a great sense of humor! I enjoyed the class immensely and even though I grew up shooting, I learned so much about pistols that I wasn't aware of. Thank you for the great experience!
