I understand why this company has such great ratings. Our experience with Emerson Paints was a 5-star experience as well. Their greatest strength is their responsiveness. We emailed them through the company website on a Saturday morning about painting our basement, received a phone call within 20 minutes and had an estimate scheduled for Wednesday morning. Signed the contract that morning and their crew arrived Friday to begin work (Moses, Jose and Brian). The owner Daniel came on-site for a quality inspection and to ensure we were happy with how the job was going so far. Moses returned the next morning and completed the job by afternoon. The work is impeccable and the basement was left spotless. My husband has high standards and a good eye when it comes to work done in our house and he is overjoyed with the quality of the work. We will definitely use Emerson Paints in the future and will recommend them. read more

I have taken some time to consider this review. I am leaving it as a warning to anyone who would invest their money in such a company that would sell themselves as the persons who would be providing your service, while using contractors who they intentionally put behind the eight ball for time. what they provide is horrific, and you will be paying them well. don't buy the idea that these young brothers, who were raised, (shall we say) in a fundamental environment are anything other than brokers, who use contractors that cannot be well vetted. I had two coats of paint put on one level of my home, and the crew was out of my home by three in the afternoon. it was a pure mess. The brothers got off easy with me. they are pure BS. Avoid Emerson Paints--Unreliable & Dishonest I fell for their Instagram ad, and from there it was all downhill: aggressive calls, missed communication, bait-and-switch subcontracting, and a rep who literally walked into my house without knocking. The crew that actually did the painting? Wonderful. But they weren't Emerson--they were a subcontractor I was never even told about. Emerson overcharged, underdelivered, and ghosted me the second payment was secured. They'll make promises. They'll make excuses. They don't care about you. They care about your money. I am happy to say from start to finish and from the top down every representative was professional, kind, understanding and communicative. Dominic came to my home to provide a free estimate, working various scenarios to suit my budget as well as communicating to answer any further questions on my part. Marie and Rebecca were very kind on the phone and even the owner took time to contact me with a schedule change. Edgar called me with paint finishes and selection of color. Jerry removed a ton of wallpaper and popcorn ceiling as well as the painting. My living room looks amazing; the work he did is excellent! We had a bad experience with Emerson Paints. They were supposed to show up one morning, but we had to call when they didn't. I was told they had "forgotten" to notify the actual painting crew, but they would have someone there very shortly. One man showed up, but he said it was too late to actually start the painting, so we agreed that they would start the following day. This job was supposed to use 11 gallons of paint and take between two and three days to complete. The three-man crew rushed to get it done, as they were overbooked. They were in and out of here in eight hours which included their lunch break. We questioned how they could put the second coat on that quickly, and were told that the paint dries fast. It definitely shows that this was a rush job. My husband has had to "touch Up" numerous places, and we are continually cleaning paint off the woodwork. There were five gallons of paint left over that were included in the quote that we cannot use elsewhere. As time passes, we keep finding paint on our varnished woodwork and hardwood floors. We were told the job would be inspected. When I called the Project Manager, he said we were supposed to go over it with the crew that did the painting. We had done that, but some of these problems would not have been noticeable in such a rushed state. I asked to speak to the business owner, and the Project Manager said I couldn't. I have since called and left a message for the owner, Daniel, to call me back. This has never happened. All in all, we are "extremely dissatisfied" with the way Emerson Paints have performed. Daniel responded to the above review on Yelp. He states they ordered "a little more paint." They used 6 gallons, but ordered an additional 5 gallons -- almost double what was needed. I had more concerns when I spoke with Edgar, but he refused to let me speak to the owner. Daniel also states that I waited 2 months to complain. I sent an email on Feb. 12 asking for a response, but never received it. I also called last week asking for Daniel to call me hoping to privately voice our complaints to him. Still no response, so this seemed to be the only way to get a response. It appears he doesn't really care, unless a dissatisfied customer makes a public complaint. Their quote was for 2 to 3 days of work, and 11 gallons of paint. They worked one day and only used 6 gallons. Guess who had to pay for their discrepancies! read more
