Last week I decided to look on Yelp to see who yelpers recommended and filled out the contact info for Dr. Miller. Literally 2 seconds later Dr. Miller himself called and we made an appointment for the following week. Impressive! Dr. Miller's office is conveniently located right of the highway and right next to Old Orchard mall for those who love to shop (a little too cold for an outdoor mall today IMO). There is plenty of parking out front and he's located on the 3rd floor. He was right on time for my appointment and appears to be a one man show right now since he's on the hunt for a new receptionist. Fortunately, that doesn't seem to be slowing him down. He took care of my foot issue (turned out to be a deep callous) and I wondered what took me so long to make the appointment. While i was there he also worked on a few other callouses, since he said he'd throw them in for free :). I also inquired about custom orthotics for my flat feet. He showed me some options and said he would check with my insurance to see how much they would cover. I plan to call back in a week and go down the orthotics route with him soon too. I asked what the #1 foot issue people come to him for and he mentioned an ingrown toe nail. My son had one recently that got better on his own, but glad we have someone to turn to if we run into a similar problem. He's good at what he does, very nice and fast. I was in and out of there within 20 minutes!

His front-desk person was friendly and efficient as she had been on the phone when I made my appointment. Dr. Miller was personable, thorough and attentive to my concerns. After a detailed examination, which included an assessment of the blood flow to my feet, he not only removed the calluses but also took care of other foot problems. The positive effect of his care was immediate. I highly recommend Dr. Miller to anyone in need of podiatric care.

These individuals earn a doctorate degree in Podiatric Medicine and are able to treat ankle conditions and foot as well. Basically. You can consider podiatrists as foot experts; as you contact the optometrist to deal with eye issues, the podiatrist can help you in the ankle or foot issue. Human foot contains 33 joints, 26 bones, 42 muscles, around 50 ligaments and tendons; all these parts help to keep the foot moving together with the support of 25000 sweat glands. Studies reveal that human foot acts like an evolutionary marvel that has the ability to handle tons of force and weight of the whole body in motion. Various parts of the foot including ball, heel, and toes work in coherence to maintain all your routine movements. Our foot is generally divided into three parts as the forefoot, the midfoot and the rearfoot. Note that the forefoot includes phalanges and metatarsals; the midfoot consists of cuneiforms, cuboid, and navicular. The rearfoot is made up of talus and calcaneus. There is no doubt to say that foot play an essential role in our routines; without them, we cannot move from one place to another. But at the same times, they also suffer so many health issues that should not be ignored. The list includes hammertoes, bunions, blisters, corns, calluses, claw, heel spurs, toenail fungus, ingrown toenails, and athlete's foot...

Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever experienced…read more I had active insurance when I saw the doctor and was prescribed custom orthotics because I was in severe pain. The orthotics arrived at the office on June 17, yet no one bothered to notify me. Weeks later, I had to repeatedly call the office myself to ask if they had arrived. After over a week of trying to get an answer, I was finally told they had been sitting in the office since June. I was then informed I would have to pay $597 because my insurance had ended in July. I explained that my insurance was active when the orthotics arrived and that I should have been notified in June. The staff member falsely claimed she had called me. I checked my phone records, and there was no call or voicemail from the office. To make matters worse, when I asked about the charge, she laughed while repeating, "$597," and spoke to me in a rude and condescending manner. There was no empathy, no apology, and no attempt to help resolve the issue. It's unfortunate because the doctor's reputation is overshadowed by an office staff that is disorganized, unprofessional, and dismissive of patients. No one should be treated this way, especially when they are already in pain. I would not recommend this office based on my experience.
