We had an appointment the next day to tell us more about it. She didn't want to share what was on the results or what was seen on the ultrasound. She told us he was going to die because he had the Trisomy 18! She kept repeating it. and before she walked out she told my husband and I that we should take a walk together and come up with a decision. This appointment probably took 5 minutes.

She is attentive and patient and isn't aggressive as some doctors may be with course of action. Her staff is also meticulous and whenever I have any questions or concerns they call back by a reasonable amount of time. The only thing I wish was different was that Dr Wos have more availability. If you call the corporate office number, if you can even find it, they can't help you because they are a different office. Midwest Center means nothing other than a common name, like going to a Shell gas station, one has nothing to do with another. Took me multiple requests, over a period of more than 3 years to get my medical records transferred to my new doctor, which were finally transferred as of this year, 2025. Good Lord. Sep 9, 2022Previous review After being a patient in this practice, long before it became MCWHC, like two decades long, my previous doctors retired, one after the other. Since the changes in doctors in this office, that for me began this year, it was a nightmare to get an appointment, no one seemed to know who was where and when. Had a procedure scheduled for March and received a call 3 days prior regarding the meds and was told that the procedure needed to be pre-paid, even though I have very good insurance. Was 'allowed' to make arrangements since I hadn't been notified and providing that I pay a portion up front. Subsequent billing to my insurance company was submitted with my name reading two different ways and insurance company processed the claims as two different people with two different deductibles. While in direct contact with the billing department, it took me 4 months to get it straight with the insurance company. All along, I continued to make monthly payments since I didn't originally know where the fault lay. Once I discovered it was the bill submissions that caused the errors and delay in payment, the claims were corrected by the insurance company. The very same day that I receive the corrected statement from insurance, I received a voice mail that I was being sent to collection. I returned the call and told them to do whatever they felt was necessary. Not one time did I receive an apology for the months of agony dealing with the insurance company that had to go through every single claim from every single provider this year to resolve the issue. The billing department of MCWHC further claimed that I had not made a payment since March when, in fact, I had paid over $800 while all of this was happening. After receiving nonsense responses from billing, telling me where to look on their website but in no way providing confirmation of my payments, I finally began sending emails directly to Dr. Clear to no avail. My emails have gone completely ignored. Last communication I had with her was that she was going to reach out to my oncology gyne for a consult and get back to me, that's right, oncology. Never heard another word. Maybe I am dying, I guess I won't know from Dr. Clear. The last email I sent to Dr. Clear, I made it clear that no response is a response. After reading all of the complaints here on Yelp, I could not agree more with the rudeness of the billing office and the office staff. They could care less about your health, they are all in for the money. I told Dr. Clear that it is unfortunate that she and others came into a practice that was built long and hard by others that they are destroying day by day. Very sad. Please go somewhere else as I am.

Her staff is also very sweet and helpful when needing more information and setting up appointments with the procedure facilities. I suffered from chronic inflammation and I didn't know I had silent Gerd. Doctor Diamond checked my intestines and removed every polyps she found and educate me what diet I should be on and what to stay away from. I am way better than when I first came to her. I wish I could just fly back home and go to Dr. Belmonte, but I doubt my insurance would cover that. Anyway, I've been a patient of Dr. Belmonte's since 2006, and it never occurred to me to write a yelp review. I started seeing her upon my mother's recommendation (who chose her because she is a Loyola grad and I was a Loyola student at the time...), and after my first visit I wasn't very impressed with her bedside manner. The reality is, she's a great doctor, and her schedule reflects such. Expect to wait, as with any doctor visit I've ever had in my life, but you're in GREAT hands. Dr. Belmonte is the doctor you want on your side when things aren't normal. So, if you've only ever been in for a normal check-up, it may seem she's being short with you, but really she's just taking care of business. When I had abnormal results in 2009, she called me personally, made a follow-up appointment with me, talked to me on the phone for as long as I needed, and made sure every question I had was answered. In that regard, she is pretty amazing at being the calm voice of reason and expertise. Being on an every 3 months/every 6 months care plan, and then finally making it back to once a year, I really appreciated Dr. Belmonte's directness and professionalism, and when appropriate, sense of humor. And when I found out I was moving to Boston and made an appointment the week before I left "just-to-be-safe" (despite only being six months since my last annual and being on an annual care plan for multiple years), Dr. Belmonte assured me I would be fine, and still answered all my questions and address my (irrational) concerns. Block off plenty of time for your appointment, know any questions you may have beforehand (doctors aren't psychic), and you'll probably be lucky enough to find a metered parking spot within a block or two. I really don't want to have to go anywhere else, and will be back to Dr. Belmonte's office as soon as I move back to Chicago.

I saw Dr Belmonte for probably 10 years. Read all the bad reviews but dismissed them because I just…read moreneeded a capable Dr, wasn't looking to be friends with the provider, didn't care much about her bedside manner. I always found her to be gruff, only once or twice did we have a nice conversation during the visit but like I said, thought "no big deal". That is until I got to menopause time. This last visit, I mentioned to her that it hurts to put in tampons and I seem a lot more sensitive. I told her I thought I was probably already in menopause and wanted to stop the pill to test my theory. So she goes to do my pap and, I'm not exaggerating, shoved the speculum into me so hard I yelped in pain. And I'm a person who's had two colposcopies without numbing who didn't complain one iota. I told her it burned horribly and she was hurting me so she, again not exaggerating, pulled it out and furiously tossed it onto the counter from where she was standing several feet away (yes, seriously, it flew through the air) and then proceeded to shove multiple fingers in me which also made me yell out in pain. She was obviously mad that I wasn't responding well to her vaginal assaults, which would be unacceptable to anyone but were extra brutal considering I just told her gently inserting tampons hurts. She then declared she can't do an exam, told me I probably wasn't in menopause at all, despite me bringing her a list of about 30 widely published menopause symptoms (she chalked those up to aging in general) and despite the fact that I'm in my 50s. I could maybe see arguing if I was 30 but I'm literally menopause age. (Side note: I stopped the pill and haven't had a period in months). I vowed in that moment that I would never let that horrid woman examine me again. If you've ever seen Little Shop of Horrors and remember Steve Martin's sadistic dentist character, that's her, only taking pleasure in causing pain to a different orifice. I don't know what's wrong with Regina Belmonte, but something is. That woman should not have a medical license. I would highly recommend looking elsewhere for an OBGYN.
