Dr. Ahn and the United Foot and Ankle staff are exceptional! I had never heard about Dr. Ahn or his foot practice. But because I am someone who has flat feet, bunions and am a runner, I have been interested in seeing if there was anything I could do to correct my foot issues. One day I saw an infomercial highlighting his practice and what he'd been able to do for others and being that I live in Oak Park, I liked that there was a location in River Forest, IL, only minutes from my home. When I arrived at Dr. Ahn's office, I didn't know what to expect. All I was really going on was the infomercial Id seen. As I sat with Dr. Ahn for my consultation and he shared his credentials, I began to feel more and more at ease with having the HypoCure surgery done for fallen arches. Dr. Ahn is very knowledgeable, skilled, and has a very calming presence. The actual surgery was relatively painless, even with just the local anesthetic and my recovery has been relatively pain free. I found out about Dr. Ahn from a Channel 9 news program highlighting his practice. I went to his website and read about the less invasive procedure for a bunionectomy which only a few Dr.s can perform. I'm 3 weeks into my first procedure on my right foot and so far everything has gone great. Dr. Ahn is very thorough and meticulous when it comes to my follow-up treatments and he explains everything he is doing in detail. I plan on having the left foot bunion removed this February. I went to see Dr. Ahn after my other podiatrist wasn't able to fix my ingrown toenail problems. The doctor was extremely good at his job... He did the procedure involving the phenol , to stop the ingrown toenail probs. Something my other doc had never mentioned . He put as much anesthetic as was need since my toe didn't want to go numb lol. So it was a pain free procedure , very informative , live x-rays , and left with instructions on future care, most importantly in my opinion is the explanation of procedure or procedures the patient is getting done... We've now seen Dr. Ahn and his office staff twice: once for what we thought was a broken toe (for my son) and once for what turns out to be plantar fascitis (for me). In both cases, our care has been superb. Dr. Ahn takes his time, evaluates the problem, and listens to concerns. I found Dr. Ahns office off my insurances website because it was close to the house and had good reviews. Boy am I glad I came here. I set an appointment and arrived earlier to fill out paperwork and was taken in before my set appointment which is a huge plus. I had an ingrown toenail Dr. Ahn first explained the procedure and in no time started. The entire procedure took less time then it took to numb the toe. I was told that my feet were also starting tat become flat so he recommended custom foot insoles. Also very glad I listened to him on that. I hate wearing my shoes that don't have the insoles because they hurt to walk in. I highly recommend Dr.Ahn. read more

I must say I have had the best experience with Dr. Ahn and his team! Before visiting his office I had constant pain issues with my foot and ankle. Dr. Ahn introduced me to Minimally Invasive surgery to correct the structure of my foot.
