I called at 3pm to have pizza ready for pick up at 4:30pm, but the guy on the phone said there was already a lot of pickups for that time, so he asked if 4:35/4:40pm would be okay. I ordered their 14inch pizzas (large) and hogs breath caesar salad. I added some dipping sauces: spicy ranch, garlic ranch, inferno, and honey butter. Pick up: The parking and exterior space at this location is horrid. One car can fit right in front and maybe two cars at the back, but driving to the back would be single lane way. I did see some people parked next door at the car wash. We arrive on time, had to wait 10 minutes, no big deal. I waited for my partner to grab our food. He comes out with the pizzas and sauces. They forgot our Caesar salad, he went back in and received the salad no problem. While eating the pizzas I realized they also missed the honey butter. This was the number one sauce I wanted to try out. Everything was so tasty, my friend said it was one of the best pizzas she's ever had! Lots of topping on the pizzas. I'm glad they are generous with the toppings as the prices for the pizzas are on the higher end. The Godfather pizza still tasted great the next day, not so much the Hot Sicilian - probably due to the EVOO based sauce, but still good. All the dipping sauces hit the spot, including the Caesar salad dressing. You can tell it's all in house made. Lucky to have quality pizza close to home! read more

My little sister's new favourite pizza place for sure! We were looking for authentic Italian pizza near us (not in Vancouver) and Emilio Finatti's was highly recommended! We had a hard time finding it, but honestly that just adds to the charm of the pizza place. Hole in the walls always have the best food! The pizza was bomb, and the garlic sauce that came with was amaaaazing! My little sister has gone back for that pepperoni pizza too many times! We have a new go to for pizza, I prefer the simple pies over the more complex ones, but either way we love! I ordered at 509pm, the email confirmation said it would be delivered by 604pm, at 538pm the restaurant called said they are running late and it would be 10 minutes late, at 624pm I called and they now said another 30 hour. it is now 719pm it just arrived. 2 hours and 10 minutes since I ordered. Thin crust fresh cooked pizza with quality toppings. The homemade side sauces are a nice extra too! My faves are the sausage combo and garlic chicken. I've also tried the dizzy d-lux and it was also good. Quite the experience with many turns. I see why this place has so much interest. The pizza is definitely different from most places out there. The flavours are definitely unique and the topping pretty good quality. The pizza itself though is quite blah. It really doesn't seem sicilian, and not what I've experienced as italian pizza at all. The dough is missing the chew that a good italian pizza has. It's like the dough is overworked and therefore flat -- no bubbles or bounce. Maybe it's the flour they use; maybe it's the greasy cheese they put on top. I'm not quite sure what it is. The bottom of the crust is coated with a corn meal I think? I do that sometimes when I make pizza myself, or I use semolina. I like the crunch of semolina on the bottom, but this was very coarse and a bit too much of it. Maybe the dough is just really wet/soggy and that's why it's so dense and clings to the dusting on the bottom. The honey butter is interesting, and definitely adds a je-ne-sais-pas to the different pizzas. But is it really adding something worthwhile? I think I'd rather just have it plain and let the other flavours shine. That being said, I found myself using their sauces they add for free on the side. The sauces are all pretty flavourful and potent -- a real interesting assortment. The inferno hot sauce was my favourite and I put it all over every piece of pizza I had. That was one thing that made the za a bit better. Really, aside from the honey this pizza is very similar to what I make at home with a 2-hour homemade dough and grocery store toppings. I'm an amateur, and I would hope that a pizza place with rave reviews like this, and with aspirations to match an authentic style would be doing something way better than something you can get out of a residential oven by a home cook. First time out of town customer and 100% satisfied! Friendly, helpful and efficient service. Interior was clean and neat, with an at-home, welcoming vibe. Pizza was thin, perfectly crispy, and generous toppings! Honey drizzle on the crust edge was unexpected, but delicious. I usually toss the crust, but not this time! This place delivers to the Grove! We were tired of the pizza we usually get. Our old stand by have been less than satisfying. Sooo... I jumped onto Yelp and looked for the highest rated pizza the delivered and eureka Emilio's came up. We had the Capo Picante and it was delicious. We threw it in the oven for 10 mins at 400 and the crust was nice and crispy and hot. I told the driver it was our first time order and he said I be back, you'll see. He's right the BEST pizza hands down we have had in a very long time. It is a bit pricey but yummmmmmmy! This is one of those, you gotta try it places. Checked out this pizzeria with our Tuesday Lunch Club from work! I had heard from some friends that it is a great place for takeout. We wanted to dine in so we called ahead to see if that was an option. They did tell us there was no table service or public washroom...but knowing that ahead of time we had no problem with that! The building looks like an old house so I don't know if I would have found this hidden treasure if it wasn't recommended to us...I love finding places like this! Between the 6 of us we ordered 3 12" pizzas and it was plenty! *Capa Picante *Margharita *Pepperoni (we were told the had won awards for their simple pepperoni pizza) The crust is really good...thin...but not at all soggy. The cornmeal in the bottom gives it the structure that it needs to stand up to all those toppings! AND maybe one of the yummiest parts of the pizzas here is the honey butter drizzle that they put over the crust...seriously so good! The did are great too...they have an in-house hot sauce...it's tasty...not too spicy! And a Spicy Ranch...this was the favourite for most of us! The crust can make a good bread but does not belong on a thin crust pizza. The toppings were fresh which is good but the biggest issue was the cheese. We really loved Emilio Finatti pizzas! We stopped by Emilio's to pick up three different pizzas namely one small delicious Hawaiian Ham/pineapple pizza, one very good medium Al Capone consisting of marinara, cheeses, ham, Genoa, pepperoni, red onion, basil, parmesan and raw sliced tomatoes, and one excellent medium garlic chicken including white sauce, cheeses, bacon, roasted chicken breast, red pepper, artichoke, roasted whole garlic, parmesan, tomato, and green onion. All of them were equally-delicious due to their crispy thin crust and perfectly-tasty Marinara sauce. Most of them were eaten lightly, not too weighty, so we enjoyed gobbling them. The service was slow but we were given nine complimentary dip sauces as we were endured with the long wait as we stood up inside for nearly an hour. Its ambiance was different because the outside entrance was full of bright yellow paint to attract the hungry customers and the parking outside was too difficult to park due to the beside construction. We had heard a few things about this place and decided to try it out. We have since tried it twice, once with pick up, and the second time with delivery. Both times we LOVED the pizza, both when we got it home, and the next day cold, and the day after that, and after that. The pie stayed yummy and maintained that sweetness at the crust as well as the firmness of the base even as leftovers and in a bag lunch. We make pizza at home, with a stone, commercial gas oven, and the "OO" flour and wish we could replicate the crust that they make. Obviously they have perfected the dough, and make tremendously interesting toppings as well.
