Eventually, the EEOC gave me a date--three months out. Then, out of nowhere, the firm called and said they were no longer considering representing me. Seriously? This entire experience gave me false hope and wasted a lot of my time. I followed their instructions, trusted their guidance, and ended up right back at square one--without representation and stuck dealing with the EEOC, which already has a reputation for being slow and unhelpful.
