They have been great and make us both feel welcome and my therapist finds ways to get my husband involved in my care on the home side of things. She has taken the time to walk him through the steps, which is great! As a breast cancer survivor, battling lymphedema as well, I can highly recommend them, for their caring demeanor, spousal inclusiveness, and being their to fight and advocate for their patients when needed. One of the biggest blessings is they are also their to listen to you as well, no matter what you are going through. I initially booked because I was in the process of moving, changing jobs, and in the middle of an over-all upside down life transition. I was having difficulty sleeping and making time for myself. I am so grateful I took an hour of my time to spend on her table. When I arrived, she greeted me warmly and gave me a cup of herbal tea. The table was comfortable and she walked me through exactly what she would be doing. Then, the magic. I definitely felt the moment my body was at ease as she put warm packs on my joints and I drifted in and out of consciousness. Was it sleep? Deep relaxation? I don't recall, but as a wholistic practitioner myself I can say I hope to send future clients to her to experience what I did. HIGHLY recommend her services to anyone who is high stress, struggling with mood / emotional regulation, over worked, or on their own healing journey toward discovering Self again. 10/10. ***** I also had a 90 minute massage with John on a separate occasion. As someone who typically prefers female body workers, I can say I was very comfortable and impressed with John's gentle and safe nature. He is incredibly kind and asked specific questions to help focus the attention on what my body needed. I typically have migraines and I had one at the start of our session. I don't know what to say. I'd read the reviews. No alarms went off, but let me put it this way -- my husband did not want me to go in alone. The parking lot was deserted, the building not in good repair. There was not a person in sight. But the reviews were okay. . . clients praised the place. I met Dr Shadé and filled out paperwork. Besides our pleasant conversation, it was crickets. Not a soul around. That's rather spooky. She invited me to use the "spa" which, as described by another reviewer, was actually a very dark steam shower, I presume, as I backed away, it was awfully small. As described by others there were no "relaxing and calming scents, sounds and laid back atmosphere. To the variety of teas to help yourself to". Sounds like what you'd expect from a spa. Not the frenzy of trying to get the phones fixed I encountered. She proceeded with my treatment with great care. We talked a lot as she worked the needles. For a first-timer it was perfectly pleasant. She's a very nice person. Knowing how bad off I am she did a deep massage as well. I honestly hate to point out that the place is in shambles. I hung my clothes on a broken suit rack. There were crock pots on the floor, etc. The place is just a worn out mess. I regret that I did not take pictures. I was referred to a private OBGYN by my PCP as I have been on oral birth control for 10+ years and wanted to discuss the option of the non-hormonal copper IUD. The provider did not even have a discussion and simply asked what I wanted. So we schedule to have the IUD placed when my period starts. I call when it starts and she only works two days a week so my period would be over by the time she is in. So wait another month, well now she is on vacation during my period. I become frustrated and look for another OBGYN to place the IUD. Everyone wants two visits: one initial and one to place. I work full-time and to take that much time off work doesn't fit every patient. As a supporter of Planned Parenthood, I thought hm why don't I call them. The woman on the phone was very kind and informative. She informed me I could have the IUD same day. Also you can book appointments online. I went in that afternoon and saw Melissa Wilson who was super informative. Talked about various IUDs. I like how she asked about abuse as this was never been asked at any OBGYN appointment I have attended. So I had it placed that day. It was painful. Very. Melissa was so encouraging and took her time to coach me through the placement. The whole staff were really incredibly kind. I will support Planned Parenthood every chance I get. Thank you!
