Never heard of zelnicky? It's a type of cracker made with sauerkraut. Another customer told me they taste great with a glass of beer. I took his word for it and I suppose they do since the taste great if you like sauerkraut. Once my friend arrived, she chose a cronut to go along with her coffee. She had never tried one before and she raved how good it was! Before leaving, I bought a half dozen. She wasn't kidding...if you are in the New Prague area I'd highly suggest stopping in for pretty epic donuts but especially for cronuts! Wonderful bakery and coffee meet up place. They even have a Kolacky Days in Montgomery. My kind of days! Montgomery is a beautiful little town located about an hour south of the cities. We arrived just after 8am on a Saturday morning and they were busy. We went in and stood in line while we surveyed the goods. At first we didn't see any kolackys and thought maybe they were sold out. When the kind folks showed us where they were located, we were happy to see them but at the same time somewhat surprised as they were not what we were expecting. They looked like a dinner roll with some fruit filling. Well, maybe these are traditional. We ordered a couple of apply kolackys, a raspberry croissant, a cinnamon crunchy roll and a peanut ball. Sadly the kolacky was not what we expected. It tasted similar to a dinner roll with apple filling. Not bad, just not what we have previously enjoyed. The other items were good. I mean c'mon, I don't know that we've ever had a bad doughnut. Just ask Homer Simpson. Our favorite was the cinnamon cream cheese roll. We didn't get any cream cheese flavor otherwise this roll was crunchy with the pleasant taste of cinnamon. This was just our first stop on our road trip. We really enjoy small towns and bakeries so I'm sure we'll visit next time we are in the area as we can always eat a doughnut or three.

Everything looks so good it's hard not to over order. They have a really great mix of sweet and savory options. Pastries, donuts, cakes, sandwiches, and more. The quiche is one of my go-to items and the breakfast pastries are always so good. They also have homemade granola that is to die for. Coffee and matcha are consistently great also. I love their seasonal fresh orange juice but it is a little pricey. The space itself is super cute and nicely decorated with plenty of seating, so it's a great place to sit and actually enjoy your food. I also love that they're open in the evening for wine and small plates. Makes it such a fun and unique spot for the area. Such a great local spot that does it all really well. Definitely recommend.
