I would recommend trying Luna Donut if you liked the original donut star off cliff road that Mark or Jill owned several years ago then you will like everything about this classic donut place. It is worth a drive if you live in the south metro. Owning an independent donut shop is a labor of love and all about the local community. My family was fortunate enough to continue Marks legacy and have that experience while we owned the original Donuu Star several years ago. Consider using boxes or different packaging for certain items. The whoopie pie was placed in a bag, which made it tricky to get out without smearing that precious frosting everywhere--and I definitely don't want to miss any of the frosting, it's my favorite part! There are other Hy-vee locations in Savage and Eagan, but their locations are not closeby, unless I an driving by, I probably don't frequent these or make a special trip. They had some good sales and variety.
