Dr MBA is in it for all the right reasons ! He makes decisions primarily based on treatment needs not what the insurance has to say! Day 1 I have loved the job MBA and his wonderful nurses have done. I had my first baby girl October 19,2019 and the prenatal care was EVERYTHING! He made sure me and my baby were fine every visit and the weeks leading to delivery he kept a close eye on us(blood pressure wasn't too good) but he induced with no complications or rips!Dr.MBA has become more of a father then doctor I love and appreciate him for all the work that he has done for me and will do for other mothers in the future. Its coming up on a year since Dr. Mba did my surgery. It great to know that I can finally trust a doctor again. When I first arrived to the office I was nervous due to the awful experience with my last doctor. Anyway once we talked and watch a couple videos. I knew and felt assured he had my back and more. I was referred to Dr. Mba by a lovely lady at church once she knew how severe my cycles are. He was one of three doctors I shopped for a second opinion after not being satisfied with my previous GYN's office staff and time needed to book appointments. Dr. Mba's was the third and final outside opinion I was seeking... shopping for GYNs is NOT fun so, by the time I got to his office, I figured I would just let my then-GYN go in for a laparoscopy to see what he could and take it from there. Dr. Mba's office is older and not as "up to date" as the previous ones I had visited, and, I admit, I was being a bit of a snob - until I sat with Dr. Mba! He is SO thorough! He asked less than half the questions the other doctors did and told me what he thought was going on before he confirmed what he could with the ultrasound and exam. He had me looking at things under a microscope, viewing videos, looking at charts... most importantly, he was most concerned with PRESERVING MY FERTILITY since I am unsure about having children and I am considered older in the fertility world. He spent an hour with me! He told me what to have my doctor test and look for. By this time, I wanted HIM to perform my laparoscopy and hysteroscopy!... One word of warning - Dr. Mba is VERY blunt! He does not beat around the bush and his sense of humor can be a little dry and possibly taken the wrong way.... When I asked if he would perform the surgeries, he told me he didn't need anymore work! :) He teaches at USC and has a large body of patients because of his expertise and time practicing what you can tell he loves. Already long story short, he performed my procedures one and a half weeks after my visit with him. My scars are nominal and healing well. I have to wait three full cycles to see how my body takes to the surgeries but EVERY person who has been a patient or knows someone who is/was rants and raves about the quality of his work. If you have menstrual issues, are interested in conceiving and are interested in one of the best reproductive surgeons in the LA area (I've only heard of one other with those accolades), go see Dr. Mba! read more

Although the office could use a much needed facelift, Dr. Mba is exceptionally straight-forward and doesn't cut corners or sugar-coat the truth. However, he is not the most punctual when it comes to appointment times. Being that I am low on patience, the wait tends to be longer than usual. I've tried scheduling as the 1st patient in the morning and the 1st after lunch, but there is STILL an extended wait. He is my 1st opinion regarding the removal of a pretty large uterine fibroid, but I will compare him against the 2nd opinion I receive in the next couple of weeks. read more

And I understand why, because he gives you his undivided attention. I felt very comfortable in the care of Dr. Mba. Dr. Mba really takes his time with his patients, to explain what he is doing, to answer questions, to show you slides and anything else you could imagine. I felt attended to completely because he was not in a rush and treated me with respect, as the expert of my own body. This individual attention means you wait a tad more, but it was not unreasonably long. The office staff are also very helpful, giving me thorough directions ahead of time and helping me sort out parking. I gladly take an attentive staff and Dr who make me feel welcome and important any day! This was the worst experience I've ever had, left here angry and confused and truthfully victimized. It's 3am this my anger at this Dr has not only awakened me but I am looking for any possible reason to sue this man. He wasted my entire consultation telling me how great he was. When I tried to interrupt him to keep him moving so that I could get the answers I came he seem irritated. By the time he got to options for removing my fibroids there was a knock on the door and he had another patient. So this man's final sentence to me was that this procedure would be best for you but you'd have to use someone else's eggs. Like wth, why? No other options?! And just walked out. He left me like that, rattled, confused and angry. This was the most unprofessional and worst experience in my entire life and I'm a cancer survivor. He doesn't care about your concerns, he just wants you to know how great he is. Now, I have to make another appointment so that someone can explain to me that my kidneys aren't going to fail and confirm options for fibroid removal. I have to basically undo the damage he so carelessly caused. I literally got up and cried at 3am because of this dude. I'm posting this on every site I can find. If you're going to traumatize me to the point I can't sleep then I may as well be productive. Please find another doctor who cares about your questions and concerns and not give you a devastating recommendations before ending your appointment. This guy really makes me appreciate my oncologist. Just because the diagnosis is bad, doesn't mean you forget I'm a person. read more

I retract what I said as well as my review, if I could I'd give this place a negative 5 starts. I get a bill half a month after my appointment only to realize it's a charge for my lad results, normally I would just pay the bill and move on. I DIDN'T KNOW THERE WOULD BE AN EXTRA CHARGE AND NOBODY TOLD ME THERE WOULD BE. My assumption was that my medical would pay for my cover and I would pay the rest. That was it, that was the agreement. It was NEVER advertised that there would be an extra charge on top of that. When I called, this dumb ass receptionist she tells me "the doctor was suppose to disclose that to you" THEN when I get a hold of this joke of a doctor he tells me "OH I don't disclose billing info with my clients" like what the fuck do you mean you DON'T DISCLOSE WHAT PEOPLE ARE GOING TO BE PAYING FOR??? his response is because he doesn't know how much the 3rd person lab would charge. Yeah fucking right! Like you've only done this for god knows how long only for you to say OH I DON'T KNOW HOW MUCH THE LAB WE ALWAYS USE CHARGE. Fuck this place, fuck everything about this back alley fraud clinic. Go to a Woman's health clinic, you'll honestly get treated better by ACTUAL doctors not some guy who got his PHD from an online training course. read more

I would not recommend this obgyn at all. I found him to be impatient, arrogant and incompetent. I only saw him twice and that was two times too many. I was incredibly uncomfortable in his practice and didn't feel I received adequate information considering I am a first time mom to be. His staff didn't even get my details correct on my medical documentation. My new medical practice gave me a lot of reading material and personal one on one guidance about what I could expect, information on the pre-natal screenings, eating advice etc. With Dr Mba I was led into a closet sized room and shown an outdated video on pregnancy - how impersonal and completely useless. I feel safe and in competent hands with my new obgyn, quite the opposite of how I felt with Dr Mba. read more
