    New baby MBA delivered
    Tanisha L.

Dr MBA is in it for all the right reasons ! He makes decisions primarily based on treatment needs not what the insurance has to say! Day 1 I have loved the job MBA and his wonderful nurses have done. I had my first baby girl October 19,2019 and the prenatal care was EVERYTHING! He made sure me and my baby were fine every visit and the weeks leading to delivery he kept a close eye on us(blood pressure wasn't too good) but he induced with no complications or rips!Dr.MBA has become more of a father then doctor I love and appreciate him for all the work that he has done for me and will do for other mothers in the future. If you are looking for greatness without the power trip, bluntness, and plenty of jokes make sure you check out MBA! You won't regret it!

Old office, definitely long overdue for some upgrades.

Ask the Community - Emmanuel N, Mba MD

Does anyone know how to contact the office other than their office phone number? Do they have email? They have either been closed or not answering phones during this COVID crisis and we need to speak with him to figure out what's going on.

They are open now, try giving the office a call before 11:30 and after 1. The close early on Wednesdays because he's in surgery. I just spoke with them yesterday (Monday, June 29, 2020).

After I had my baby and had to meet with "Judy" & go over my birth control options as a first time mom I asked for "the shot" since it's what I had used before and she responded in a very condescending way "this isn't planned parenthood". I still don't know what she meant by that but it wasn't nice. I still don't recall me going in there for BC, just a post pregnancy check up, was she upset cause I opted for NO birth control???? the tone still doesn't sit well with me after 4 years. now in my 2nd pregnancy going somewhere else because I did not like her. I'd really like to know why she was bothered by me asking for the shot. And what's wrong with planned parenthood? SMH

This office only deserves the 1 star. That's based on them being cordial. Is it hard to get in…read morecontact directly with the office absolutely. The call-center vs. the office gives off some inaccurate scheduling dates and times. On my recent appointment, 10a with Dr. Kimball, it was beyond unprofessional. Checked in with Nancy & was greeted by Christina. I sat in the waiting room with 7-8 other women. After 20 minutes of waiting, I asked Nancy if she was even in the office or called away on emergency!? She stated she's in the office just running behind. There are 7-8 people ahead of me. Umm, you didn't want to alert me of that upon checking in. Nancy just gave me an awkward smile. I was called in by Jocelyn "medical assistant" at 10:40a & she did her intake & walked me to the room. You would think the Dr. Kimball would've came in shortly thereafter. Absolutely not. I walked out & asked Jocelyn if she was aware I'm in the room!? Her response, oh yes, she is running behind. You failed to tell me that as you walked me to the room just sit there & look out the window. Finally, Dr. Kimball walks in as if she's early & greets me. I asked her you don't have an emergency phone call like our last appointment!? Oh no, we are fine. I explained to her how she never followed up with me re: my labs & etc and what's the next steps behind my women's wellness care. Instantly, I knew she wasn't really listening to me & was somewhat dismissive. I asked her what's the next steps were & she told me I don't do that exactly, I refer out. Excuse me, Dr. Kimball during my prior 3 visits, you told me this is what you do & we will work together for a plan of action. Talk about the bait & switch. In this appointment, I found myself advocating for myself like never before. The more she talked & stated she didn't know too many Doctors in the South Bay community due to her being with them for a short timeframe (3 years). Not only did we waste 1 another time, but she lied to me, stating she was fully knowledgeable behind this matter. I received 0 comprehensive care from her. A medical disappointment. Moving forward, her "Dr.Kimball" front desk receptionist "Nancy, Christina & Maribel: office manager;" do better on the information given to patients on her lacking a broad expertise; outside of labor & delivery. I was checking out & Maribel "office manager" was heavily fixated on our "Nancy & I" mini conversation. Maribel tells me she's been in the field for years & well versed in the medical field. Like, lady what are you talking about & stop being nosey. Keep in mind that she has no medical credentials behind her name. With all of this happening in 1 day, this office is unprofessional & can be unprofessional by themselves. Again, please advocate for yourself & stop letting doctors such as Dr. Kimball think this is acceptable medical care/behavior.

This clinic…read morefailed me I saw Dr. Tiphany Jackson Johnson at this practice for my annual OB-GYN appointment and specifically mentioned that I had been suffering from painful periods for years. I left without a proper examination, and with my concerns minimized. Spoiler alert: two months later I ended up having a 8 hour surgery for stage 4 endometriosis and 10cm endometrioma/cyst in my ovary. Dr. Jackson Johnson did not perform a pelvic exam during my visit, no speculum exam, no internal check, nothing. I later learned from multiple physicians that a basic physical examination could have detected my condition, given how advanced it was (10cm cyst on my left ovary). That exam didn't happen. When I raised my concerns about endometriosis, I was told that even if I had it, "there's nothing they can do" except offer birth control. This is factually incorrect and reflects a troubling lack of up-to-date knowledge about endometriosis treatment options. When I asked for an ultrasound, I was discouraged(!), and told they "probably won't find anything." I had to insist. I should not have had to fight for a basic diagnostic tool at my own annual appointment. The ultrasound was scheduled a week later. Results took three weeks to come back. By the time I had answers, I had already lost nearly a month. When I then needed a referral to an endometriosis specialist, the experience became even more frustrating. I had to call the clinic multiple times over the course of a week just to get a response. After all of that back and forth, which was incredibly stressful given what I was already going through, I was finally told they wouldn't provide a referral because they wanted to handle the surgery in-house. This was shocking, given that during my original appointment I had been explicitly told that endometriosis was not treated at this clinic and that there was nothing they could do. The contradiction was unbelievable and added significant delay to my care at a critical time. Shortly after finally receiving those results and seeking care elsewhere, I was diagnosed with Stage 4 endometriosis, including a 10cm ovarian cyst. I required an 8-hour robotic surgery performed by a specialist at Cedars-Sinai. A 10cm cyst does not develop overnight. A thorough examination, timely follow-up, and a proper referral could have caught this significantly earlier. I am sharing this not out of anger but because other women deserve to know what to expect from this clinic. If you have painful periods, pelvic pain, or any suspicion of endometriosis, please seek care somewhere that will take you seriously, examine you properly, and act with urgency. This clinic, in my experience, will do none of those things.

I scheduled my appointment about three weeks in advance and clearly explained what the visit was for -- a uterine niche (isthmocele) repair consultation. When I arrived, I went through the normal check-in process: weight, height, blood pressure, etc. A medical assistant then came in and told me that the doctor couldn't see me unless she had my medical records. I said that wasn't a problem and that I could get them sent over right away. I also pushed back and asked why the doctor couldn't at least come in and meet me during my scheduled appointment time -- I had an appointment, and she had that time blocked for me. Still, the assistant said no, the doctor wouldn't come in until she reviewed the records. The assistant then encouraged me to call my other doctors to get the records, and she and the staff worked closely with me to make it happen. They were even on the computer trying to download and properly upload everything for the doctor. So the doctor was fully aware that we were actively getting her everything she needed in order to see me. Despite that, once all the records and images were sent and confirmed, the assistant came back and said the doctor still wouldn't see me because her schedule was now full. Dr. Olsund never came out to meet me, introduce herself, or even apologize for the situation. For a patient coming in for a specialized procedure, this lack of professionalism and basic courtesy was unacceptable. I left feeling completely dismissed and disrespected. Either the doctor isn't confident in performing the procedure, or she simply didn't care enough to speak to me directly. In either case, I would not recommend her. A doctor who won't even come in during a scheduled appointment -- after all records were provided -- should not be trusted to perform surgery.
