We met with other photographers, but I found myself comparing their portfolios to hers. Her eye for detail and unique photos is impressive! Margaret is professional, listened to our wishes and was able to take amazing photos while barely noticing her presence which was important to us with only having 9 guests! We were undecided on a place to take bride and groom photos after our ceremony. Margaret went out of her way and to help us find the perfect spot with an amazing view! On our wedding day Margaret arrived early and got right to work finding a perfect spot to photograph my dress! I sent Margaret a link to photos I liked and I could tell she paid close attention to all of them. Come wedding day, I found her directing us effortlessly in those poses and others that made us feel like models! My mom is also into photography and couldn't help but take pictures of us throughout the day. Margaret did not mind at all and actually got some really fun pictures of my mom taking pictures of the group. Margaret is also very personable and chatted with our group without missing any photo opportunity! At the end of our wedding day, Margaret asked permission to post a sneak peek of our photos on Facebook. They were perfect! She sent us our final photographs before they were promised via a website that made it easy to download each shot in HD and share with family and friends! After Picture People unexpectedly closed down literally the day after I had booked an appointment…read morewith them, I found myself in need of a photographer to shoot my youngest son's first birthday portraits. And everything close by was 200+ dollars for the session alone with the pictures being extra. But then I found this place in the Walmart in Concord and I'm so glad I did. The photographer, who I believe was also the manager, was awesome with my son. She did lots of backgrounds and poses and was able to get lots of smiles out of him, which can sometimes be difficult because he occasionally gets shy around strangers. And I loved the prices. The picture package I purchased would have easily been $40 more at Picture People, and I got to leave with printed pictures and flash drive of my son's session. I will definitely be back.

He was extremely thorough with his photos, which gave us options to work with, and further refine with his editing. All through the process he was extremely prompt, communicative, and helpful. Using his website to review the shots and select favorites was easy and intuitive, and when they were finished and ready to use we were able to download them from there easily. Tickets- they can be bought right online. We always go for the scenic lake tour. Seats- They start boarding about 15-20 minutes before they leave. Get there early!!!!! You can get the seat of your choice that way. There is seating on the ground level (mostly tables) or if you go up top there are a lot of chairs all around. What to wear- sunscreen!! You do sit directly in the sun if you sit up top. You may want to bring a light jacket because it can be breezy, but I was fine without one. Be careful of any hats you wear since it is breezy! The ride- the captain is so great about giving facts about the lake and houses on the lake. It is the perfect amount of talking. They also play light "yacht rock" music in the background. They don't go too fast and it is SUCH an enjoyable ride. There is a bathroom on board and you can purchase drinks (a full bar) and snacks. The crew was very nice and helpful when we had questions. They made sure the ride was exactly 90 minutes and even took us into a cool cove they don't normally go into when it was looking like we were going to arrive back early. I have never done the dinner cruise. It's the same ride but for $23 more it's a buffet style dinner from the Appleseed restaurant. The only con of that is there is no outdoor seating on that boat.

There were crackers and dip waiting at our table for us.. For dinner, the salad, Mac and cheese, bread, potatoes, and lasagna were all great. We didn't try the pulled pork or beans. The carved roast beef was Ok (kind of fatty). Cake choices were excellent and very delicious. Staff was good. The captain shared interesting facts along the way (Steven Tyler's house). It was smooth sailing. Sadly too cloudy for a sunset viewing. Background music was much to our liking. People along the lake were out on their decks waving to us as we passed and the Captain blew his whistle. Once it was dark and dinner was over, we were ready to get off, but we had another 30 minutes to the ride. And not much to look at outside.

The bridal suite for preparations was good size and - what can I say - it's the little things! They had a sewing kit available, safety pins, bobby pins, hair spray, combs, brushes, spray deodorant, razors, lotions, pads, tampons - EVERYTHING - that was something that might be needed!! And the view in the back for pictures was GORGEOUS!! The staff were amazing!! Coming down and bringing a snack platter, asking if we wanted something to drink (alcoholic or non). Very considerate and happy to do all that they could to make the event special and as stress-free as possible. They were the most accommodating people we have met! My other daughter was in charge of the decorating and said working with the place and staff was wonderful. Very few, if any, restrictions on decorating. They allowed her to go in days ahead of time to start decorating. (This was dependent upon any other functions, but we were lucky that there were no others at the time) And the food!! What can I say except that it was EXCEPTIONAL!! And they even catered to one of our guests that needed gluten free -making sure that the marinade of the steak was gluten free or they would cook her a separate steak without the marinade, and without us asking, they even made her gluten free biscuits!!
