I just purchased a farmhouse table from Emmor Works. I'm so ecstatic about having a beautiful dining table right when you walk into my home. I didn't mind splurging on something that would last years! I had multiple questions about the table and delivery method. I couldn't call them during the work week since I don't have great service at my desk but they were very responsive over email. They have so many pictures on their website, Instagram, etsy and Facebook on the different combinations of tables, desks, coffee tables and shelves that customers over the years have purchase. Myself, I went with the farmhouse style, 6' with a distressed dark walnut finish, distressed ivory base and breadboard addition. I also added a matching bench. I was so torn between the farmhouse and harvest style table - the downfall with the harvest was I have an 80lb lab and I was worried he would try to sit up on the stretchers, which may crumble under his weight :( Anyways, after doing meticulous measuring and going back and forth on the design. I settled on my final table! The payment/deposit process was simple. They will send you an invoice request via email, which you can pay with a credit card. I don't live in NJ, therefore needed a delivery service to Colorado! Emmor Works offers this and are able to set up a freight delivery service. This does not include bringing it into your home or assembly. DELIVERY - it's done through a third party (or at least for Colorado it was). You set up the time to take delivery then. It took about 5 or 6 days including Saturday and Sunday to receive my items. It was a 375 lb crate! So the third party delivery company set up their delivery truck with a lift gate and were able to move it into our garage so we could unpack it during the weekend (received on a Thursday) UNPACKING & ASSEMBLY - the crate itself was wrapped with tons of plastic to ensure nothing was accidentally dropped inside. Also, Emmor Works stated on the crate and to the delivery company not to stack on top of the crate. Once we took that off and took out a few nails holding it together, the top and sides came right off. The bench was on top and wrapped with layers of bubble wrap and packaging paper. The table was in a few pieces and very, very simply to put together. The legs are all labeled to ensure you put it together in the intended place and all the nuts and bolts come in this cute baggie with a label of what you ordered. They also included felt furniture pads, there wasn't enough to cover the bottoms of the table and the bench but I had additional ones already at home. I had to wipe my table down since there was additional saw dust from their shop :) It's a beautiful addition to my home and I can't wait to have family gatherings around it!! read more

I contacted Emmor Works on January 13th 2015. I spoke with Melinda (who couldn't have been more personable, friendly, and helpful) and explained what I was looking for. I needed some recommendations regarding size and color and she said she would touch base with Phil, the other owner to check on what he'd recommend based on our space. She sent me an email, as promised, within a short period of time and outlined their thoughts regarding color and size that they thought would work based on our room size. I called the next day to order our table (all sight unseen) and again spoke with Melinda. She sent me an invoice which could be paid online (super easy!) and a confirmation email outlining everything we discussed. Fast forward to 22 days later (lightening speed) and our brand new, gorgeous custom table is set up and in our dining room. Dave, the delivery guy, was an awesome person who carefully delivered and set up our table with the quickness! He even went so far as to add some felt pads to the feet to avoid scratching our hardwood! Super nice of him - something we didn't even think of! Tonight, I am staring at our gorgeous, one of a kind, character filled table and couldn't be happier that I came across Emmor Works on craiglist. After much thought and searching, I found Emmor Works online and was enamored with the tables produced by their craftsmen. I ordered a custom industrial style 96" table with a black base and distressed ebony finish. I stressed about it since I live near DC and I'd never heard of this mysterious company in New Jersey. Other than having difficulty discerning the difference between the Black Walnut and Ebony shades via the online pictures, ordering was very easy. The customer service team sends real emails, not form letters, and their deposit billing process was seamless. Plus, they were very good at ensuring I knew exactly what to expect and when in terms of my table delivery. According to McDreamy, who manned the house on delivery day, the delivery team was excellent and had a great sense of humor. The table arrived in perfect condition and was exactly as I'd hoped and expected. The accompanying bench was sized to the table and is my daughter's (and her friends') favorite place to sit. Plus, our dogs love laying themselves beneath it and resting their heads on the cool metal bars of the base. The table has become the centerpiece of our combination kitchen-dining-living room. Everyone who enters our home comments on its beauty and uniqueness. It's both sturdy and stylish. In a decade when I tire of the overall look, I know I can simply find other chairs to pair with the table and bench and will have an entirely new and different feel. Since I live in DC, I didn't have a chance to see the products in person but I took my chance. The process was very smooth. Phil was very friendly, professional and responsive to my e-mails. I purchased a slightly oversized dining room table from Emmor Works. I am so pleased with the end result. I was nervous picking it out without being able to see an exact sample but Joe was so patient with me, my questions, my sketches, etc. LOL; he even made a sample so I could see the thickness and stain and mailed it to me to help me make my selection. The process was easy, VERY timely and in about a month I had a brand new, custom dining room table in my house. The delivery team.... just wow! I just received my beautiful 6' farm table with a matching bench in All Stained Early American from Phil and his family crew for our new apartment in LIC, NY. While these guys are couple of hours away and i haven't seen the product in person, the whole process worked out great. Thanks to my husband, we found Emmorworks by miraculous luck while flipping through dining room listings on Craigslist. I was impressed with their website, rave reviews, beautiful photos, and experience I had when inquiring with Melinda over the phone about their farm table. We are so extremely grateful that Emmorworks exists and are beyond words happy with the 8' farm table and matching benches that we ordered from them. The table is unique, elegant, charming, has clean lines, is rustic, and much more. We got the table and matching benches in chestnut stain with a distressed finish. It took 3 weeks for it to be completed. My husband went to pick it up and loved the experience at the shop. He said that the people were very friendly. This table is the best purchase we've made for our new home. My only wish and sincere hope is that Emmorworks branches out and starts making more furniture (i.e: bed frames, headboards, TV stands, coffee tables). They have a great talent for working with wood! I discovered Emmor Works by browsing for coffee tables on Etsy and fell in love with the low to the ground, square coffee table in dark wood with white legs because it fit perfectly with the space and new couch in my living room. After calling them, Melinda was exceeding friendly and helpful in taking my order and figuring out the best shipping option to get the table to my home out of state. Unfortunately, when the table arrived, a few of the corners had gotten squished in shipping despite their best packing efforts. Wow. The farmhouse tables are as gorgeous in person as they are in pics online. I was not disappointed. I bought 2 farmhouse tables from Emmor Works, one narrower, as a desk. Table in Early American and desk in chestnut. I've always loved the painted legs/bottom look of wooden tables and battled on whether I should have them with painted legs or "plain," stained all over. I decided on the latter. So glad I did. The wood grain shows through so beautifully against the stain that it would have been a waste to cover it with paint no matter how pretty the paint. I find myself liking the Early American stain better than the chestnut, which I thought I would love much more. Took a chance on the Early American and am so glad I did. It's understated and very mellow. The chestnut feels/looks a little too orangey for my wood-paneled sunroom. But it's still very lovely, don't get me wrong. I also love the finish, which is not an obvious gloss, but a subtle sheen. Very classy. On hind-sight, the black walnut finish would have been very dramatic in my sunroom (contrast to an already warm, red-toned, wood-paneled room). Also, if I were to redo, I would have skipped the desk and ordered another table (better value) and added a bench, which could be put anywhere, not just by the table. The only thing I did not like was the high delivery cost. Perhaps it will come down in time. While I thought the customer service was lagging at the end, Emmor Works made up for it in eventual recovery. I highly recommend this furniture maker. I have not seen a lovelier table since. read more
