This is the only small animal vet that I could find in our area and we were happy that we were able to get in. The staff is very pleasant and accommodating. They put our minds at ease regarding our pet bunny and even showed us how to clip his nails at home so we wouldn't have to traumatize him by making trips. Plus they even gave us a discount for our first visit and told us when they would be having a special and neuters so we could save some money. Nowadays that is hard to come by and businesses. We will definitely recommend them to other small and normal pet owners.

    Lil'butt happy and healthy!

After more than a month of waiting, never even bothered to respond to an appointment request through their own website.

My poor dog got a large abscess on his back side. We are new the area so we weren't sure where to…read moretake him but we had already been to this vet for his rabies shot. Dr. Snow drained the abscess and left a tube in him to continue to let it drain at home. Also she gave him antibiotics. Told us to come back after the antibiotics were gone. We did she left the tube in him. Over the weekend it got large again really fast. Took him back in she suggested to open him up for a surgical cleaning we had her do that. She gave him a second antibiotic and also took a biopsy to send in. The biopsy came back as a foreign object infection. They also raved about what a good dog he was and didn't need a cone to keep him from messing with his stitches. Well over the weekend his stitches started pooping out due to him licking them. We had to take him back to have him stitched back up again. That cost as much as the surgical cleaning. After his stitches healed up we took him back to get them removed and she gave him a third antibiotic. And again it started filling up again...... They were at a loss... they did not know how to fix him. They suggested the next step would be to do laser treatment. That would have cost $150-450 depending on how many treatments and they couldn't guarantee a positive outcome. I asked friends for advice I was told to take my dog to a different vet. So I did. The new vet in the first visit took blood for blood work. 2 days later called us to come back in. His white blood cells were very high. They did an x-ray and during the x-ray found a curved needle inside my dog, the only way that could have gotten there is Dr. Snow left it in while one of the two times she stitched him up. Other then that the x-rays were fine. Then they did an ultra sound. The ultra sound showed my poor dogs organs were just covered in cancer. They were actually surprised he was still alive. They gave us the weekend and had us bring him back Monday to be euthanized. After spending tons of money and taking my dog to Dr. Snow for almost 3 months she couldn't even figure out what was wrong with him it took the new vet 2 visits! I also found out that Clinton Hwy Veterinary "HOSPITAL" does not even have an x-ray machine or an ultrasound machine! How can they call themselves a hospital?! They put my poor dog through so much keeping tubes in him and opening him up and LEAVING A NEEDLE IN HIM all for NOTHING! I wouldn't even take my dog there to get his nails clipped. I had left a review similar to this on their Facebook page and since then they deleted their page... I guess they don't want others to know. I plan on looking into sueing them for malpractice....

I was told that my dog WOULD NOT be allowed in "group play" being that he is over 7 months and not neutered. I took him to the vet to get the vaccinations required to be at daycare. At first I was happy to hear that an accommodation could be made for my dog to interact with humans and get out for some potty breaks. I only needed 3 hours to take an exam. I brought in his breakfast and came back 3 hours later to get my dog. When I walked in his food was still out in the lobby.... The employee or owner (unsure) who greeted me asked who I was there to pick up. I told her my dog's name and she said "wow he hasn't been here very long. I haven't gotten a chance to meet him yet." I thought that was bizarre... then what was he doing? 2 days later I received his "report card" which included the photo I posted below. My dog was in fact in group play. Not only could he have gotten another dog pregnant... he came home with kennel cough. Another vet bill later he is okay.... But still. What on earth are they doing in there? How many other "accommodations" are they making that aren't kept?? Maybe another dog didn't need to get a bordetella vaccination and that's how mine came home with it? I don't know but a 30$ stay for 3 hours (including the price to just make an account) plus over $300 in vet bills later. I'm not happy and would never recommend this facility to someone. I truly hope no one came home with puppies because I know that is a lot more than $300. PSA if your dog stayed here on July 14, 2025 they may also have kennel cough or be pregnant.
