I've been a patient for years and it's impossible to get in and see anyone. If you're sick it takes days to get a call back since they don't actually make appointments there, you get sent to a general dispatch. You're better off going to an emergency care. I was looking for a new PCP and since all my other doctors are Emory affiliated it made sense to me to have a PCP also first it took 5weeks to get in to see the one I selected since I was a new patient, I get there 15 minutes early in case I need to do paperwork And at scheduled time I am watching others check in and go back this goes on for 45 minutes I am the only one sitting out there then this nurse or tech not sure since she spoke broken to no English takes me back and tries to take my bp and comes up with some wild number then skips asking me about most of my prescriptions cause she can't pronounce them. Then I sit in the exam room for another 20 minutes and no doctors ever showed up so I left and again the waiting room was empty as I went out the door. This is the absolute worse Emory experience I have ever had and I have been using Emory Clifton rd and midtown locations for 20 yrs. read more

This is the worst doctors office ever! My entire family have been patients since before they moved and were located on Wade green road. You can't ever get into see a doctor and when you do it will never be your doctor. The front office ladies that answer the phone are rude. You will wait on average 45 minutes to an hour for your appointment. They got way to big way to quick. read more

Well... Trying to get a prescription called into the pharmacy is definitely pretty tough for this office, I had to call three times with no luck getting my medicine called in . I never feel like he's trying to push medications on me. He honors my desire to not jump to a new medication. This is a good place. The facility is always clean. The staff are personable and kind. My doctor is Dr. Shuler; I've been impressed with him for years. He is personable, usually on time (or close to it), and courteous. He listens to my concerns, and he remembers specific issues I had even months or years later. His nurse, whose name I forget, is also upbeat and kind. They are also very responsive to phone requests for emails, informing you of lab results, etc. Parking is sometimes tight; there is a public lot at the end of the block that is usually open. The larger Emory Healthcare system is one of the best in the world, so there's almost nothing _not_ to like about this place. A big thumbs up. read more

The doctors here are just fine, but this is a poorly run business. You can't ever get anyone to answer the damn phone (hold times 10 minutes plus), and good luck getting a timely appointment unless you are a pediatric patient. I am not one to leave reviews, but this place is so bad I had to. I have been taking a medication for 4 years, every day for twice a day, and my primary care doctor just suddenly stopped working here. No notification from anyone at the office, I just find out when I call to get my prescription renewed. No problem, I call to set up a new patient appointment with a new doctor, this is months before my prescription will run out. The first appointment is available June 13th... I called in April. Fine, they are busy, so I take the appointment. Meanwhile, I am about to run out of medication before this new patient visit. I called THREE DAYS in a row, TWICE a day to see if a nurse or covering doctor would call in just a week's supply of medication to hold me over. I keep getting passed along and told "we have sent a note to the doctor" about the fifth time calling I tell them that I've been told this several times and still my prescription hasn't been filled. I can't just go cold turkey on an anxiety medication I have been taking for so long. I receive nothing but attitude "The doctors have other patients; they'll get to it when they get to it." I mean what the heck?! How is this even allowed?! WORST PLACE EVER. DO NOT GO HERE. THEY ARE HORRIBLE AND DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU!!!! read more

I owe this place and the people who work here more than I can express with a review. Dr. Lloyd is one of the best doctors in the area and I trust him implicitly. He will readily recommend fantastic doctors (most of which he knows personally) when dealing with an issue that's outside the scope of a primary care physician. I've personally had a couple instances with my health that would have gone unresolved had he not provided a valuable second opinion and, where necessary, referred me to a specialist. I will say that it is vital that you keep your doctors informed whenever anything happens/changes with your health. I have happily scheduled appointments for the sole purpose of keeping him up to date on situations (even if he's not directly involved). I have never once felt judged by him, and there is no issue too small that he doesn't treat with the utmost seriousness. He keeps a list of the things you discuss and will revisit them until they can be crossed off as solved. He makes sure to spend time listening to you and making sure you're completely comfortable and understand exactly what's going on should you have any questions. I have and will continue to recommend Dr. Lloyd to everyone I know who's in the market for a new physician. read more

I echo what others have said regarding this location: My Dr. was very kind and helpful, but the staff was so rude, incompetent, and acted annoyed to have to help me. Those on the phone are even worse. I was treated like I was terrible for asking them to call my pharmacy after weeks of back-and-forth with no luck in getting my Rx sent over. My Doctor is great no complaints there. The establishment is clean which I can appreciate. My main gripe is their inability to stay on time. I get that these appointments run late. I'm disappointed with the lack of empathy the staff has when appointments run behind. If they could check in with people that have waited past their appointment window to reset their clock I think that would go along way. I arrived early for my appointment which over the phone was scheduled at 11:15am however at 11:30am I was told it was actually for 11:30am. I'm still waiting to be seen. When I arrived at 10 and wrote down the appointment time that I was given someone could have checked and informed me of the corrected time. I've been going here for a long time and over time this place had really gone downhill. The people on the phone just want to get you off the phone as fast as possible and come off as rude and condescending instead of taking the time to listen. On top of that I've literally made it to appointments only to have them tell me there's nothing wrong with me, then when my problem gets worse I have to schedule an appointment and wait another month. I LOVE Dr. Parker here! She is a wonderful doctor - she doesn't judge, she answers all my questions, and communicates effectively to get your health back on track. Her nurse Kelly is also wonderful. I always feel safe and cared for with these two! I would give them a million stars. Now... My review grade is for Debra Godwin here, the Nurse Practitioner - DO NOT see her. Dr. Parker was out of the office and had her patients set up to see Deb (as they refer to her). I felt SO judged and she even made a few comments that I believe she could have kept to herself as they where unnecessary and did not aid in the care I was there to receive. Additionally, left with no understanding of the condition I went in for except that they needed blood and would run some tests - this information I had to get from the phlebotomist because Deb never came back or explained what needed to happen. I have learned my lesson - ALWAYS wait to see Dr. Parker. read more

This practice has gone down hill the last few years. Twice I've had a simple refill request that's taken weeks because of the game of telephone they like to play between the desk, nurse, doctor and pharmacy. No one is ever on the same page. Front desk personnel are rude, called me fussy for being frustrated with their mistakes. I had my insurance change, pharmacy had no problem locating the new info bc of this they needed a new pre-authorization from Emory at Acworth. 10 days and 10 phone calls later with no one at the practice is ever calling me back, I end up paying triple for my medication and it's all bc surprise the office contacted my old insurance instead of the new despite multiple messages so the pre-auth was denied. The same sort of thing happened the month before with silly communication issues. No personal care, I'm switching GPs now. read more

We've been coming to Emory for almost ten years ... even when they were Kennesaw Family Physicians! Their doctors have taken such great care of me and my family. The office and physician rooms are state of the art and immaculate. It is conveniently located next to a pharmacy and a diagnostics office. The front office is friendly and they cannot do enough for their customers. The nurses are caring and sensitive. This practice gets the highest review from us. In fact, our last two visits required us to travel from our home in Texas and to fly in from Las Vegas. We did so gladly. We trust no one else! read more

I actually had a really good experience here. For one thing they offer services on Saturday for a limited amount of hours which was really helpful. I've used two separate doctors here and they've both took time to listen to me and the people at the front counter were very helpful too. On both occasions that I've come here I made the appointment ahead of time and I did not have to wait at all. I drive a little out of the way now just to make sure I can go to this particular office. Edit: in retrospect I think their billing ought to be a little more transparent. I know it can be hard because insurance plays such a huge role but if they could give a ballpark idea of what we might expect to pay out of pocket that would be better. In any case what I ended up paying was reasonable I guess. read more

I have been here several times as this was mine and my wife's primary care. First things first is that my wife has epilepsy and takes frequent medicine. We just got pregnant and she needed her levels checked. This office took her blood levels and then never sent them to the Emory in Atlanta that reviews the levels to determine the increase of medicine. Then they lied and said we were never there. Then they said (after many phone calls) well we found it. Second. I had a problem with my knee that I thought maybe they could just diagnose and maybe give me meds before I went to see an orthopedic doctor. First they schedule my appointment, send me to a room, and have the doctor come in and say "I don't look at knees". She hands me a card and said go here. I said no problem. Then they send me a bill for things that did not occur. I call to see what the confusion was and the front office tells me that I must be mistaken and what I'm saying is not true. Then after one more phone call trying to clarify that what they said was done was NOT done and that I was not looked at at this location, they send my bill to collections. I have never had a worse experience with doctors who don't do what they are supposed to do and treating patients this way. We will never go there again and I want to let everyone that I can know not to go here. They do NOT make patients come first!! read more

Great clean office, my primary care doctor is great as well. Whoever they have in charge of answering phones are always very rude and passive, it makes me want to give my money else where. Learn how to talk to people and not at them. They may not have anything to do with the main office but they definitely leave a bad impression. read more

I've been seeing this doctor since I was a child. My doctor (Deb Godwin) is great, but ever since they were bought out by Emory the staff has gone down the toilet. I have been trying for over a week to get them to authorize my prescription for my insurance. Each time I have called the receptionist either transfers me directly to voicemail or tells me I will have to wait 24-48 hours for the service to be completed. 24-48 hours has turned into 7 days and counting. It is beyond infuriating that I am continuously ignored and that there is literally nothing I can do or no one I can talk to about this issue. read more

I hesitate to write a review as I would like to keep Dr Gilbert a secret. He can already be challenging to get an appointment with as he is quite a busy man. But regardless of how busy he is, he always sits down and takes the time to talk with me and really listen. I never feel like he is in a hurry to get me out. He has solved things for me that so many others have failed to. And even if he can't solve it, he keeps trying. He doesn't just shrug and pass me to someone else. This all goes a million miles with me. This review is for Dr Gilbert - the other staff can be mixed. I never saw a Dr. I scheduled my appointment 3 weeks in advance and whoever scheduled it put the date in wrong. My appointment date was supposed to be for the 22nd. I received a voicemail from an automatic service on the 21st reminding me of my appointment on the 17th. ?! The receptionist did not care enough to help me even though I had taken off work to be able to go to the doctor. Also, I never received paperwork in the mail like they said I would. Prescribed me a medicine that you cannot just quit taking. But then they give you a hard time about refilled. Always had a hard time getting in to see the Doctor so would see the NP. Apparently that does not count as an office visit when needing a refill. I have since found a new and better Doctor and practice. Be careful about what they give you. I have never been so sick coming off a medicine. Good thing I did not end up in the ER. read more
