The wait time for the doctor was extremely long. When I told the nurse I'd been waiting for 20 mins. She agreed and looked at the doctor who was sitting down scrolling on her phone. 2 mins the doctor appeared to tell me it's just a common cold. Fast forward to today, it's an ear infection like I originally suggested to the doctor. She also asked me if I needed a school note. I'm 31 which my chart clearly stated if she read it. Trying to get on top of a possible case of Bronchitis, having symptoms of a sore throat and cough (these same symptoms I'd had every time I'd gotten Bronchitis), I made an appointment, thinking I would be given a prescription to stop it before it got a grip. They tested me for Covid, which I had done at home before I made the appointment, and said it was negative, which I already knew. It wasn't flu or RSV, as I've had those vaccinations. In the end I was told I wasn't sick enough for anything to be done "at this stage", but I could certainly come back if I got worse. How comforting. This Piedmont Urgent Care is located on Austell Road directly across from the hospital. It shares a small shopping plaza with a pharmacy and Thai restaurant. Parking is just enough for the building. It can get tight, there are spaces surrounding two sides of the complex. Reception was friendly and efficient. She had a like when I arrived, but was able to assist and keep things moving for everyone. All areas including the lobby, restroom and back of house were well maintained and clean. The lobby was free of clutter and the chairs were all appropriately spaced apart. They do have a small children's area with small tables and an interactive TV, but no toys given the current Covid era. **To anyone needing a Covid-19 test...I recommend booking an online/virtual appointment first, completing it then booking your actual appointment. I went this route and got same day booking for a rapid test. If I would have just made an in person appointment without the virtual visit, it would have been two days before I was able to be seen.** Total wait time for virtual visit was 1 hour, on site was 25 mins and for results was 15 mins. So total wait time was 1 hour and 40 minutes from start to finish. Overall, this is a solid option for Urgent Care needs. I prefer to not be a frequent visitor, but in the event it's needed, I would certainly choose this location over a few others in the area. read more

The staffing is very unprofessional and lacks a sense of urgency which is ironic. The doctors and staffing are young, which checks out as to why i was sexually assaulted and made uncomfortable to the point of tears in one of the treatment rooms. I was to get a vaginal exam, the young doctor, female, was making faces through her mask and had 3 nurses and herself looking at my vagina. After i asked if only the doctor could look at it she laughed in my face and was reluctant. I have never in my life gotten a vaginal exam where more than two people needed to have their eyes inside of my vagina. My legs were wide open and they were pointing and laughing while the doctor was making faces. I began to cry, and ask her why she was being so rude and condescending towards me and if she could pivot her attitude to one more positive. She was again reluctant, told me i was delusional and that she would apologize if she did something wrong but she hasn't, and that she doesn't know what to say. I then asked for a medication i knew i needed because i have gotten it prescribed before. She told me i didn't know what i was on about and that there's no such thing and that i just don't know as much as her. Just for her to send that same medication to my pharmacy in the end. They offer "appointments" which is apparently code for a slot in which they will determine when you will be seen. We arrived on time for our "appointment" and waited 40 min and still were not seen. My husband needs a covid test for travel, and he had one day between work trips to get it. We left, because it's our daughter's birthday. We had ONE day between my husband's week long work trips. We weren't going to spend our one full day with him on her ACTUAL birthday waiting in an incompetent office. Honor your appointments. Respect your patient's time. Your wait can differ depending on the time of day and how many people are already waiting in the waiting room, but its not terribly a long wait. This location is terrible. Terrible. They might as well have an automated system up front because the attendants aren't helpful at all. I was glad to see that they had an appointment almost immediately when I needed one so I booked it and hopped into my car to make it to the office in time. When I arrived at the facility, I was not greeted and was barely acknowledged. I informed the young lady at the front desk that I had an appointment. She looked up my appointment and said that I needed to complete my registration before she could check me in. I went to sit down so that I could complete the registration on my phone but didn't have good cell service in the building. I went back up to the desk and asked the same young lady if she could help me complete my registration because my cell coverage was spotty. Without even looking at me she pointed to a sign that had the Wi-Fi name and pass code. It was the lack of regard that caused me to ask her to just cancel my appointment. If the front office staff can't even open their mouth to acknowledge or assist me I can only imagine what the medical staff is going to do. This was my second experience with this location, the first was about a year ago. I tried to give grace because... pandemic. But at this point , the pandemic is not a good excuse for poor customer service and long wait times. read more

This location did not offer my husband treatment for his allergy issues. He was literally told it wasn't their problem. At the time of his visit his eyes had puss coming out of them from infection. He was coughing and sneezing and fatigued. They said to come back in 2 weeks if he was not better. The next day he was even worse and he went back because he did not feel that they had the correct diagnosis. They saw him. Admitted he needed treatment for his eyes and apologized for the previous doctor. They only gave him some meds for the eyes. He continued to get more sick and finally went to an allergy specialist that told him he needed antibiotics and steroids to overcome the issue. Additionally this location said that they would not charge him for the first visit because there was no diagnosis or treatment. They still charged him. He contested the charge and they told him he still has to pay it. Finally collections called. Urgent care is mostly a waste of time anyway but this was a particularly awful experience and this location should be shut down for inhumane practices. read more

Have been here multiple times only because I generally feel very confident in any Piedmont facility, but NOT this one. First of all you can NEVER reach them by phone. Secondly even if you pre register for a specific time, give them all the insurance info, you can still arrive & be told you have a 1 hr wait !! Wait what ?? I secured a specific time slot, & you could not notify me of the delay ?? Single Fathers, Be Forewarned. I've been a single father with sole custody to my daughter now for over 10 years. Its important for people to know names of the adults in our community hiding in the medical profession who recommend signing over parental rights to the state, snatch children away from single parents, try unsuccessfully- to break up families, when all you're trying to do is seek medical attention for your little one. Then when you ask them for your medical records, the manager makes it hard, gives you the runaround, makes you drive to different locations, call multiple times over the course of a few days, then manipulates the record by removing the name, and conversations , so when you bring it all to her attention she says "she can't talk to you anymore- you must contact corporate." This started by me asking them to check her for a reoccurring uti. We left by ambulance and ended up going to the hospital across the street. Thank goodness for all the true medical professionals in the hospital ER who recognized the situation for what it actually was. They successfully stopped the nonsense before it got too far. After the 2 doctors recommended signing over rights, snatched my daughter, ran off with her outside, closed the business early, and didn't answer the phone when the hospital supervisor tried to follow up almost immediately as we got there-is another few reasons why I wrote this. read more

Terrible customer service all around, the front staff are rude and full of attitude, the doctors are about the same as they are literally just a clique of young girls who display their cattiness thru their lack of effort and work ethic. This was merely my 2nd visit and both times, I've had to call back to speak with Michelle the manager- who didn't/couldn't offer much help either. The last doctor refused to thoroughly examine me after I told her my concerns and history with sinusitis...she simply looked in my ears and mouth and said "I can call you in some cough syrup as it appears you have a cold or upper respiratory infection" either or is suffice I guess, however, nothing was done to treat me aside from offering cough syrup. I visited this location on Saturday August 10th, 2023. My Daughter was moving a couch from my camper and the step down was further down than expected. She landed on her right foot, twisting it and heard a snap. She then fell on her right side with her elbow catching the brunt of her fall. I called The Austell Piedmont location and inquired if they treated possible broken bones and they said they do. I brought my daughter to Urgent Care. My daughter was and is still unable to apply pressure to my foot. she is still unable to move her right arm in any way. She received X-Rays on her ankle and Elbow. The treating Doctor told me she was not really good at reading elbow x-rays and released my daughter. She was prescribed Naproxen. My daughter immediately called when I found out Naproxen was over the counter Aleve to say, Aleve wouldn't touch the amount of pain she was in. She was told that the Doctor felt her decision to prescribe Aleve matched the amount of pain She was in and also, that the doctor could not prescribe narcotics, if needed, my daughter could go to the emergency Room or follow up with an orthopedic. The entire visit was a complete waste of our time and caused my daughter a great deal of additional pain having to wait until today at noon to visit an orthopedic. My daughter has a dislocated Elbow and a ATLF tear in her foot. She will be getting a CT scan prior to determining the next steps in her care. I am giving 1 star because of the absolute lack of care received at this location in addition to being lied to about being able to get medications to relieve excruciating pain while waiting to see an orthopedic today. I should have been told to go to the ER upon checking in at the urgent care if the doctor cannot read X-rays or prescribe pain medications that are needed in an injury such as this. The website states they do treat broken bones but apparently this is not the case. Don't waste your time. read more

I was very sick and they took there time, I waited in the car for over 3 hours and they were still not ready to take me in . I couldn't stand with out nearly passing out. Every 30 minutes my mom would go inside to see if they were ready and each time it was "we'll be ready in 20 minutes " After hours passed we decided to just go to the Emergency room. Tuesday before Thanksgiving, I came for a covid testing. My appointment was at 4:50 p.m. I actually got there at 6:20 p.m. they were still willing to see me. They had no one in the waiting room really following covid guidelines, which I admire. You basically wait in your car. They had such a streamlined process and it works! Guess I should have read these reviews before visiting, but this was the only place open on the evening of my daughters' car accident. Anyway, I visited this location attempting to retrieve bills from a previous visit (November 2023) for my daughters in order to get the documents to my attorney/insurance company. The African-American woman at the front desk was very rude and condescending when I asked her why the bill she printed only showed 2 of my daughters instead of all 3. She just kept repeating that all 3 were under the same account number which clearly did not answer my question since only 2 names were listed. When I explained this to her she responded with "you're not listening" and "I don't know how else to tell you". She then asked her coworker to repeat what she had been saying to me, as if I do not understand English. I then asked if there were any medical records available from that particular visit that I could share with my attorney/insurance company, and this same employee printed out a copy of a COVID test from 2021 as if to pacify me. Fortunately, Danny, who was also working the front desk stepped in and checked the computer and confirmed that all 3 visits were accounted for in the system. She also clearly and politely explained the process for retrieving the missing bill and records. Once I spoke to the billing department it was confirmed that was I was told was inaccurate anyway. Went here for the first time last night. Not sure why I always passed them up (and instead went to WellStar Urgent Care off Cooper Lake and EW Connector) - but that will NEVER happen again. This place is just like I like my men - HUGE, clean and quick - but thorough. Lol. Just kidding. They are open 7 days a week - from 9 til 9 and there's a pharmacy next door that keeps the same hours. Dr. Short was charming, caring and competent. PERFECT bedside manner. Michelle, my nurse, was great too. One of the receptionists was great - bubbly and sweet - while another was a little 'blah' - but not enough to make me deduct a star. I was offered coffee, tea and water while I was there. I hope I don't get sick any time soon - but if I do - I'll definitely be back! read more

I went to WellStreet to treat Strep Throat. The office is new, clean and well-run. The lady at the front desk that evening was friendly. However the wait was very long. It's back-to-school time and they were providing free sports physical which may explain the long wait. The doctor told me that my wait was not typical. I saw Dr. Williams and he provided excellent patient care. My concern is that the next day I started to have a mild allergic reaction to the medication that was prescribed. I called WellStreet to ask to talk to the doctor or a nurse regarding my reaction. I wanted to know if it was something I should or should not be concerned about. The receptionist told me that the nurses were all busy. She did not take my number and ask if I wanted them to call me back later. She said that I should either come back to WellStreet (and incur another copay and cost for the visit) or go to the ER. This situation turned what would have otherwise been a good experience into a negative one. read more

This place is great because of the hours that they stay open, 9 am - 9 pm, nice, brand new and clean waiting room and office with TV's and coffee/tea machine. Staff were super nice to my 2 young kids and let them pick out something from their treasure chest after our visit. Physician seemed knowledgable and gave us some good advice. I visited this location today and was extremely disappointed. For years I have visited this location for my health needs and I've always brought my children here as well as referring friends and family members. Today, as I said, I was extremely disappointed. I was treated by a nurse practitioner who was an elderly caucasian woman with white hair and an extreme power tripping type attitude. As I spoke she continually nodded her head very patronizingly with an empty stare and faux smile as if she wasn't listening to a word that I was saying. I expressed what was going on with me.. she offered a few sentences of surface "advice" and she told me that because she didn't have personal knowledge of the problem, that I could not be treated for it at all and that she would refer me to a PCP friend of hers. Even though I expressed that I had spent the only money I could afford to spend. $155, that I literally saved to be able to be seen there because I've always trusted their care. I wish she would have just asked a doctor to come assist me rather than empty $155 words that did not help me at all. I will no longer visit this location as long as this woman works there. If any of you walk into this office and see this woman I would ask to see a real doctor. I walked out of that office with tears in my eyes because I no longer have the means to pay for another visit somewhere else at this time and I was really counting on this place. I walked out of that building feeling worse than when I walked in, patronized, scammed, and swindled out of my money for care that I felt I had not properly recieved. EDIT: Upon writing this review a very kind, actual doctor, from the location reached out to me and amended the issue at hand. This place was amazing! From the front desk to my nurse Gena, they were all so wonderful. Gena was very concerned for me while doing my X-rays on my hurt ankle. Thank you. My doctor was just as equally as amazing! Dr. Mitchell, he's a star in my book, excellent bedside manner and gave me some helpful tips about my high arches. They called me tonight to inform me about my X-rays after the radiologist read them and they were fine ... I don't even get that at my "normal" doctors office.
