I've been seeing Sara for about eight years now. We started with a full-body massage. I have Rheumatoid Arthritis, and massage helps with my pain. Finding Sara has saved my life. Every session is different. We focus on what I need at that time of each visit. I've done lymphatic drainage to emotional freedom. Being a veteran, I suffered from PTSD. I was medicated to the gills. October 2022: I have seen Sara and and off for years and more recently, regularly to address deep-seated trauma and unhelpful core beliefs and heal and transform them. In my graduate counseling psychology program, we are learning just how helpful Emotional Freedom Technique/Therapy can be in treating PTSD. It is being used at John Hopkins and some of the best medical clinics, and has been studied in over 100 clinical trials. The results are astonishing. It can be tremendously effective. In a group of veterans, 9/10 of them were able to completely heal their PTSD using EFT, for example. This is not wacky alternative woo woo stuff...it is the real deal. We know that in trauma, talk alone is often insufficient because science has proven that it is stored in the body. EFT combines the somatic, body release of the trauma while bringing self-love and self-acceptance, the foundation of traditional counseling and therapy, in an easily accessible, non-invasive way through gentle tapping on acupressure points that have been used for centuries in Eastern medicine. There is nothing new age about it; it's a new way of combining the old tried and true very effectively. So, please don't hesitate to give Sara a try. Even though one can do EFT on themselves, it is much better to have a trained support, and she is one of the best ones out there. I feel so happy in my life thanks partly to Sara. I left Integrative Massage in tears, with my heart racing on Thursday. I truly wouldn't recommend this place, ever. I can't think of another time I was so mistreated by a place that claims to be a "business". First off, in Sara's own words, she does not do relaxation or traditional massage. She does more body work, or therapy. If you are looking for what most people in the USA consider to be a massage, go elsewhere. This is also not what I would consider to be a professional business. Through all of my appointments, Sara showed up a minimum of 2 minutes late from what was supposed to be the START time of my massage. The first time I went in, Sara really sold me on herself and her work. She told me my body needed a lot of work and she knew exactly how to help me. I appreciated her quirky, outspoken personality. I decided to buy a package of 3 massages for $155. By my 3rd visit, I was ready for a traditional massage. When I arrived, I asked Sarah how she was doing. She proceeded to tell me that she wasn't doing very well and that her stepfather had passed away the week before. I gave her my apologies, and I am truly very sorry, but that was not the way myself, or as far as I can imagine anybody, would want to start a massage. I could feel that her energy was off and truly, in my opinion, if she was not in a good mental state, she should have taken the initiative and not come into work that day. I proceeded to ask Sara for what I wanted and told her I wanted her to work out my sore muscles. She spent the whole hour using two fingers to press random parts of my body for a minute at a time. It wasn't enjoyable, it wasn't helpful, and it wasn't what I asked for. I left really disappointed and decided to communicate this to her. I sent her a very kind email, telling her I respect her work, and maybe it was miscommunication, but I didn't feel I received the type of massage I asked for. I still had one massage left in my package that I didn't want to waste. She wrote back and although she wasn't unfriendly, she wasn't willing to accept any responsibility for the miscommunication or misunderstanding. She basically placed all the blame on me and said next time make sure you communicate so I can give you what you want. Ok, so I go in for what I thought would be my last massage at 2pm on Thursday. I said hello and asked Sara how she was when I arrived, and she didn't even respond, and wouldn't look at me. I thought that was strange but brushed it off. She sat me down and asked me what was going on. I told her I was fine and she asked what my expectations were. I explained to her in the best way I could what I wanted, and I asked her if that made sense. She looked at me with a straight face and said a very rude "NO". As we proceeded to discuss it, Sara was becoming more and more aggressive toward me. She asked me if I had ever been happy with any of her work and I could tell she was upset with me because I had tried to communicate about my last massage. Still, I remained very friendly and was trying to make the best of the situation, as I was in there to receive a massage. She started raising her voice at me and being extremely rude. I was almost in tears. I could not believe that I was receiving this sort of treatment from someone who claims to be a professional and is supposed to be in a place of relaxation. I asked her if something was wrong and told her that it was becoming a very hostile environment. It became very clear to me that she never had any intention of giving me a massage that day, and was holding a grudge because I wasn't happy with my previous massage. I then told her I thought it was best if she just gave me a refund and she agreed. She forced me to leave her office and went so far as nearly pushing me out the door. Overall, that was a horrible experience for me. I wasted an hour and a half of my day driving up there and back and never received a massage. If Sara is that insecure about her work that she cannot accept that not everyone is going to love what she does, maybe she is in the wrong business. At least I can walk away knowing that I was the bigger person, even though Sara is about 20 years my senior. She had absolutely no right to treat me that way, and I am surprised that she still calls herself a professional. I would not recommend her to anybody, and I can only give you my fair warning to stay as far away as you can. read more

I've seen Sara a handful of times; primarily for deep tissue work as I was in pretty bad shape when I first came to her. Sara worked on my issues over the course of several sessions and the results were transformative. First of all, the plaza that her building is in has horrible parking. It was slam full with little kids running around playing football right beside all the cars. I was not expecting her place to be in that location at all. I bought a Groupon for my boyfriend's birthday. Sara emailed me back right away and set up an appointment with me. The waiting room was okay. It was a little bit stuffy due to her heater that she had on. The Groupon was for an hour massage. Sara asked my boyfriend for any specific areas that he wanted her to work on and he told her just an all body massage will do. My boyfriend was little disappointed with the massage. Sara is really nice and friendly but my boyfriend didn't want to small talk while he received the massage. He really just wanted to rest and relax. He did say that Sara did use some suction cup thing on his back and he enjoyed that. Sara did a lot of pressure points on his body and my boyfriend felt that she focused on that too much. Her booking process was easy-peasy; she sent a follow-up email for confirmation and even called me back with the appointment time when I forgot my scheduled time. In addition, her space was easy to find and she has a heated table (awesome!). Sara took her time before the massage to chat me up, figure out exactly what I was looking for and truly took her time making me feel whole. She's an incredibly gifted healer with a natural ability that shines through. She's friendly, personable and easy to communicate with during the massage as well, which is a true rarity. Sara was the only massage therapist who was able to fix a huge knot I developed at the base of my neck. It was so tight and painful that my right arm and fingers started to go numb. I saw a chiropractor, acupuncturist, and another massage therapist over a span of 2 weeks, and the pain continued to worsen. It wasn't until I had an appointment with Sara that I finally got relief! For years I have tried many different massage therapists looking for someone that "gets me." I ran across Sara through an Amazon Local deal. I really enjoyed our first session. We met in her waiting area and had a consultation where we addressed my goals and concerns. I have some really tight areas (especially neck/shoulders/hips) and she really spent a good amount of time working to start breaking that up. She also really got into places that I didn't even know were tense. I also really like her incorporation of healing tools that she uses (cupping, mag oil, heated tool, etc). Someone mentioned that her studio isn't in a good place and I would have to disagree. The retail/office center she is located in is a little busy, but I can always find parking. She rents an area that has the private room connected to a waiting area. It is very clean and comfortable. I went ahead and purchased the New Client Special Package (a great deal!) and my third massage is scheduled for next week. Sara also recommended me to an incredible chiropractor. I had back surgery 20 years ago to correct severe curvature in my spine. As a result, I have two metal rods fused to my spine which not only limits my mobility and flexibility, but causes me a great deal of pain. Sara is magical. Truly. I didn't know what a real massage was until I had my first appointment with her. As others have stated previously, Sara is incredibly attentive and gets the job done. She has helped me get rid of chronic pain in my upper back and neck. The massages are not always pleasant or relaxing but that's only because she really works into the knots and uses other techniques, like suction cupping (with your permission, of course) and you leave feeling a little sore but more importantly, open. Sara is intuitive and takes a holistic approach to healing. She went the extra mile and showed me exercises I could do at home to help with my chronic pain. During my first visit to Sara's practice, I also got nasal-cranial adjusting done. It was uncomfortable to have something up my nose but she did a great job making me feel comfortable.
