I hate to give a bad review but I just feel if I don't, this may happen to other people. I got a living social deal here for a 75 min massage for $55. The reviews were great so I bought 2. I went for a prenatal massage and it had to be one of the poorest and unprofessional massages I ever received. I had it with Eileen and while she was a very nice woman and took the time to explain how I should sit at my desk to alleviate back pain, her massage was very weak and very inconsistent. She explained because i was pregnant she could not address the areas I had the most tension, like my upper back, legs and feet. I thought to myself, then what is left to massage? I've had many massages at spas all over the country as well as prenatal massages, including a few at a spa just for pregnant women and have never been told that massaging my upper back could cause miscarriage. If that were true pregnant women all over would have issues! The room is no frills, which I don't mind at all as long as I get a quality massage but it just wasn't there. If the highlight of the massage is on my forearm, it speaks to how bad the rest of it was. It was 75 minutes of light sweeps along my body, no pressure at all and to make things worse, she talked about her personal life the entire time. So not only could I not relax, I laid there waiting for the massage to somehow get better. And it never did. I felt like it was a waste of my time and money. I wouldn't even pay $20 for that deal. If you have to go, I would recommend requesting a different therapist. read more

Got a great deal through LivingSocial and the reviews were mostly good, so I gave them a shot. Gina was fantastic. She asked plenty of questions to make sure she would hit all the areas I wanted to be worked on, and the only time she talked was to quietly ask how I was doing every 15-20 minutes or so. Very respectful and relaxing. The massage even included a hot towel foot-wrap and went longer than expected! I walked out of there feeling way more relaxed than I normally do after a massage, and I woke up feeling like a million bucks the next day. Came via Groupon Deal. First of all. The pictures are NOT what this place looks like. Its in a medical building and its very just weird and awkward. You come into a waiting room with no sign of what to do at all. And there is no nice view of the lake. The rooms are just small tiny office building rooms with a massage table, some soothing music and thats it. So if you are thinking a relaxing spa... this is not your place. The massage itself... my massage was pretty good. Not the best Ive ever had but definitely not the worst, he did a good job of draping but I recommend bottoms because they moved and adjusted my body in weird ways which might have made me uncomfortable in some instances if I hadn't been covered down there!! And "checking out" was really strange too, since I came with a groupon there was no real checkout process, so luckily i had cash to tip the guy, but he basically was walking me back to waiting room before i said, do you need my printed groupon? so since there is no receptionist or someone you can pay before or after just know that you have to settle it with your masseuse. All in all, it was probably worth the 1/2 price groupon I paid (and they didn't give me my $25 gift card), but I wouldn't pay full price and just felt a little awkward the whole time... wasn't quite the relaxing experience I had wanted but my kinks are gone... probably will never see this building again. read more

I have been seeing Gina for a few years. I have followed her to three locations. Yes, she is that good. I love her online booking system. Her prices are fair and she does an amazing job. I always feel amazing when I leave. I am never sore but I know I got a great massage. I highly recommend Gina. Bought a living social deal and booked a massage with Eileen. I knew the location was in an office building...states very clearly on the website....which wasn't an issue for me but the noise level in the room was LOUD, which made relaxing a bit difficult. Eileen did a good job of assessing my problem areas and focusing on those but there was too much talking! I want to relax and destress in a massage, not chat! I would probably go back but not sure it would be worth full price. read more

I've had several massage sessions here with Eileen and I am very pleased. She seems very "tuned in" and always asks what areas you want her to work on before she gets started. It's not a typical formulaic massage either - she seems to tailor approach depending on what is going on for you at the time. For example, she spends more time on my right shoulder since it's my dominant hand and I work on a computer. She always has relaxing music playing and is very sensitive to the temperature in the room and whether or not you are comfortable. I love the fact that she has a glass of water ready for me after the massage. The facility is tucked away in a business park, but once you walk inside, the rooms are tastefully decorated and very relaxing. I'll definitely be back and I will make sure I'm scheduled with Eileen. read more

My wife got me a massage here with a living social voucher. Unfortunately, she did not tell me the right day and we did not know until the reminder showed up on Sunday, 24 hours prior. We tried rescheduling online but it did not work since it was already within 24 hours. This was a bit frustrating so be mindful and double check the confirmation email when you schedule the appointment. The massage itself was great and we have not seen a better value or had a better massage in the Austin area. It is in an office with other health professionals but the massage table was nice and with my eye closed and the music in the background, it was very relaxing. I would go back without question. I've had a lot of massages throughout the years, and I can say she really knows the body and muscle structure really well. First of all she spent time finding out about my problem areas so she could tailor the full massage to my specific pain needs. She gave valuable advice with the caveat that she was not a doctor. I asked her to explain what she was doing and why, which muscles she was releasing and how that would help reduce my pain. I have been getting massages for 25+ years. Originally I am from Chicago and moved to Austin in 2006. I have been a chronic pain sufferer for 25+ years and on serious pain medication for more than 20 yrs. I have had all kinds of massages from some of the best in the industry to really good massage therapists here in Austin. Moreover, the only kind of massage I like and get relief with are Deep Tissue and have regularly received them from Men as well. So I purchased a Living Social deal for a 90 minute deep tissue massage. I spoke to the woman twice on the phone prior to the appointment (either Eileen or Cathy....can't exactly remember tbh). So the day comes and I drive all the way over there only to have this therapist tell me that since I take pain medication she can't do a deep tissue massage on me and would have to cancel my appointment . I was upset that she never mentioned this before even though we went over my medical issues prior to the appointment. Moreover, I have been getting massages for longer than she has been giving them and by better MTs than her and have NEVER had an issue with not getting a massage bc of taking pain medication nor have I had an issue while getting a massage bc I take pain meds. I do not like when people try to tell me they know my body better than I do. I offered to sign a waiver of liability for her and she still wouldn't give me a deep tissue massage. She then offered to do some other kind of massage and made it sound like it would be a big relief to the pain I was in. Well, suffice to say it was not. Her assessment of her ability is well beyond her actual skill. And on top of that, she had the audacity to be rude to me after all she put me through.
