Peach House is a boutique Pilates studio that offers mat & reformer Pilates, plus additional services like cold plunge and sauna onsite! The not so good- memberships go up to $499 a month which is expensive! Upon arrival to the event I felt very unwelcome. I did however get to experience the sauna for about 15 minutes and enjoyed it! The sauna was overcrowded with people and no one was monitoring it. The event was not well planned out overall and promised "HalfDays swag" to RSVPs and didn't deliver. It would have been nice for someone to give an official tour of Peach House but there was a reformer class going on at the same time as the event which was super confusing.

So I wanted to make sure we made a stop here while we were in Austin as it seemed essential for having a good city experience here. Barton Springs is open every day but Thursdays so plan accordingly for that. I am told it's a day where they clean the pool. It took a little bit of navigating to get to the pool as we had to plan to come here on a hot day as opposed to a rainy day which we were encountering here on our trip but it worked out fine. We landed on a warm day and got pool time. And Barton Springs is perfect to come to on a hot day. The temperature is between 68-70 degrees which makes it great swimming all year round here. The bottom of the pool has plant life and it's not all concrete and polished at the bottom so be aware of that... it's definitely has a natural look. There are also signs not to touch the rocks at the bottom as it is the home to some rare amphibians I believe. But aside from that as long as you follow the signs you're good. The water is extremely refreshing and invigorating and even after leaving the pool and you are on your way you still feel for a while thise sensations which added more to the impressive experience we had here. Parking fees and entrance fees to the pool are reasonable. It's $5 if you are a resident and $9 if you aren't. I highly, highly recommend making a stop at Barton Springs if you are in Austin... it definitely helps complete the city experience here.

It's a pretty big park, offering several different landscapes and activities. Great for families and outings with friends. The city views were beautiful. The forest and springs had that cooling effect that made the hot sun bearable. The springs were cold but very refreshing once fully submerged. A little too cold for my water loving 2 yr old. He also didn't like the green algae but still enjoyed the experience. Warning: VERY SLIPPERY in the springs and uneven rocky trails in some areas. Have water shoes if you don't like to be barefoot. The bottom of the springs swimming section feels smooth; slippery with some uneven dips. We stayed on the approved 4ft or less side for my kid's life vest. Bring a float or rent a canoe to enjoy the deeper waters. Pro:There are several ADA ramps we could have used for the stroller. As 1st time visitors we took some risky chances trekking down rocky slopes and too many stairs that wasn't necessary. Find the ramps. Con: Multiple entrances and parking. We were almost defeated by the parking situation on a Saturday early afternoon (1pm). We drove around over an hour looking for a spot in the many parking lots closer to the swimming pool section. With so many entries and people barely leaving it was a constant flow of new cars swooping in forcing us into lot loops. So close to turning back, we kept following the water trail and figure there had to be another way to the water! Bingo we parked on the other side of swimming section and took the 12 min walk directly through the fields to the pool area. If you're like us you'll drive around the parking lots so much you'll learn the landscapes. Must pay for parking. We got a ticket after following the advice that there are no parking fees on the weekend. Don't listen just pay the hourly rate parking fees. Swimming Pool Fee: There is a minimum fee associated with entering the springs. Fees are tiered by age and residence. As non-residents we only paid $13 ($9 adult/$4 young kid). Veterans are free, no ticket, must show VA ID. Reasonable fees for the amenities, especially the life guards and bathrooms. Downloading the app is easier and faster than standing in line at the credit card kiosks. The teller windows are a little faster but, cash only, We were pleasantly excited to also take advantage of the playground and train ride. Super cute. 2 year old loved both. Highly recommended for visitors who like to explore, be in nature and community, and stay cool.

the massage therapist never shuts up. i've asked her to not talk to me, during the massage, but she ignores me. she yacks and yacks and yacks and yacks until i want to get off the table and run out screaming.. and she talks about the most upsetting things!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! she talks about war and about politics and all sorts of depression crap!! it ruins the massage. .... i almost threw up the last time because she talked about gross shit. why do massage therapists here, feel as if they need to go chatty kathy on us???? never have i ever seen such behavior. at the end of every damn massage she says, "well i'm sorry to leave you with such depression thoughts!!!! then stop doing it. dear myo massage management, please instruct your therapist to shut the hell up while massaging. the only thing that i want to hear is the instructions on stretches. i will let her know if i want more or less pressure. but the way it is now .....if i told her... she wouldn"t hear me!!!!! because she's too busy yacking about how the world sucks. read more

This is the best massage place ever, and during grad school, I worked in a Marin spa paradise (voted among the top 10 by a trade magazine). The professionals at myo are worth driving hundreds of miles for--as my mother did for the better part of a year. Whenever I'm in trouble, each of their therapists has a unique way of resolving or at least masterfully addressing it. Barefoot ashiatsu and chi nei tseng are definitely worth a try, but if you just tell the people at the front desk what you're looking for you won't be disappointed. At least once try getting a massage from Levi, one of the owners. I've not had major (or hardly any) back problems since seeing him regularly for a stretch 5 years ago. Major recommendation: if you think you might use it, buying a $400 never-expiring package deal saves you a huge percentage on the hourly rates, and you can specify 30, 45, 60, 75, and 90 minute sessions to maximize the points. read more

I have always been a massage skeptic and came here to say that it is clear that these people truly know what they are doing--across the board. And you really can get a sense of the range of therapies and therapists while on site, so I say this with full confidence. If you are unsure about getting a massage here or anywhere (as I was), I would encourage you to take a leap of faith. I'd like to pay my specific compliments to Katie Johns, who did a great job on a problem I am having. She also managed my expectations about healing moving forward. I was won over by her depth of knowledge, earnestness, and intuitive touch. In other words, if you are looking for someone who is the real deal to help you with pain, go see her. read more

I just had an excellent 90-minute Myo massage by Kelly H.! I was dealing with some very tight areas in between my shoulder blades, neck and lower back. As well as some sore, tender calves from hiking DOMS. She was perfect with the pressure! I didn't realize how tight my hips, she was great at releasing those spots right on the back hips and around the sides! My shoulders feel so much more loose and open, I could barely roll my shoulders back before! Neck feels much looser as well! She applied the perfect flushing pressure to my calves so it wasn't too intense and helped greatly - I went and hiked River Place trail the next morning without any issues or soreness the next day. read more

Vacation relaxation! My boyfriend and I went to Myo for relaxing massages after a long flight from Massachusetts. I was lucky enough to see Ginger and she was amazing! She was so understanding of my lax of massage knowledge and really listened to what I wanted, and more importantly, what my body needed. She was gentle but firm and incredibly relaxing. I would 100% recommend her! I got the 30 minute CBD massage. The oil smelled amazing (lemon lavender) and felt even better (perfect temperature). Finally, a place where therapists know what they're doing! I've visited many spas and massage studios in the past, and while I've had my share of good experiences with individual therapists, more often than not I leave a little more relaxed, but disappointed that there wasn't more to it. I've had massages from 3 of the therapists at Myo now, and while they're all different they all take massage to the next level with their thoroughness and skill. Myo massage is an amazing place. They have talented therapists beyond belief and I've never received such amazing body work. I go regularly to Kelly Roan is my personal favorite who specializes in pain management and is extremely educated and experienced with spine and pain issues. I don't know what I would do without Myo. They are reasonably priced and well well worth the affordable hourly they charge. Do yourself a favor and find a therapist at Myo that focuses on your body's needs. read more

Kevin was incredibly detailed, diligent, educated, calculated, patient, and effective. Best massage I have ever had. I left feeling as if this myofascial massage was the start of a journey for me, especially after having a significant nerve injury. Third Thursdays here introduced me to a third space that people are so often lacking in the 2020s. Ceremony is a social spa where it feels like a homestay with amenities geared towards wellness. It's not like those medical-inspired clinics where things feel sterile (albeit safe) and intimidating. It's inviting and warm to match their encouragement of conversation. I'm greeted by healthy plants, fresh pumpkin-apple-bread and a tour of the space. The main facilities are an indoor cold plunge, an outdoor barrel sauna (both pictured), an even colder outdoor cold plunge, and an even hotter indoor sauna. Showers and a restroom is available as well as other services relating to east Asian practices, massages, scrubs, etc. If you're feeling like you need a break, there's a few couches in a homey lounge to sit on. There was a tea event happening in one of the rooms as well. Despite coming for a scheduled event, it actually wasn't busy at all (probably because it's a come-and-go situation over the span of 3 hours). It gives way to organic conversation and movement around the space as you participate in contrast therapy. I recommend starting with the more mild temperature-d facilities before moving onto the higher magnitude ones. It's not a gigantic space, but it's something that you can only expect in similar cities like Austin where people are willing to make a space like this and are not hampered by extremely cold temperatures. Getting a pack of drop-ins is most economic option since you can get the price down to around $25 for usage of their facilities that day. They also don't seem like sticklers that make you feel watched or pressured about anything. I can imagine those that come here feel like they are friends with the people that work here. If you're looking to connect with people, your body, and yourself, this is a great place to try.

I definitely felt unheard. The massage also wasn't deep enough. I wanted to focus more on specific pressure points but it felt more like a Swedish massage. Overall, I left feeling not refreshed, still sore from my workout. The massage therapist was very nice though and so was front desk service. Easy place to find, plenty of parking outside.
