I have family members…read morewho have had positive experience with the Chiropractor and one of the PT workers (younger male). Unfortunately, I did not have a positive experience. The afternoon PT worker was more interested in pushing his MLM that helping me with my treatment. At one point he took my number, I assumed it was for appointments purposes. Odd because the front desk has my contact information. Turns out it was to send me a video to push a "miracle oil". I decided not to return and to elsewhere. Best thing I ever did. The new practice was wonderful. We did a number of exercises, gave me a workout plan for home, discussed what to look for with footwear and suggested adaptive equipment my insurance would cover. What a difference! I feel sad that people come for help and they are being pushed a product. People who need PT are vulnerable, often elderly or young kids on sports teams. They need help getting back to their normal activities. It wasn't professional or at all ethical.

The therapist I was assigned to, Karen Decher, was frequently abusive, carelessly unethical, and condescending to the point where I needed to leave the practice for the sake of my mental welfare. Prior to this, I had 3 1/2 years of unwavering stability and absolute peace with the management of my disorder, thanks to the intelligent and proactive treatment team I had been working with inpatient before this nightmare began. This was unimaginable. Despite her threats, I finally did get myself out of there, and the whole operation is so corrupt at Rockland Psychiatric Center, that they blocked my every attempt to file a complaint with risk management, even calling the police to say I was harassing them. Again, never in my entire life, and I am sure never again, will I come across such egregious misconduct, Worst of all, not one of them was remotely interested in their own ethics nor integrity, which was contingent on protecting the rights of the vulnerable population entrusted under their care.
