I just had a lovely conversation with a women (who's name I didn't get) she was polite, attentive and if she were servicing my area I would have hired her and I asked more then once if she had anyone in my area but we're too far to be efficient. What I appreciated most was how she clearly summarized how the business works so that I would have something to base my search on- what's included what's not, what they do, how they do what they do, what to expect from start to end- that required time and professionalism. She made me feel like a client despite being out of her jurisdiction. Dear Ms- I thank you for your time and appreciate your kindness and I am grateful you answered my call. It was perfect timing to have connected with you and you set the bar for the service I am seeking in your industry! However, the Estate Sales Ontario owner had promised us that she would dispose of any unsold items in my brother's apartment. (This promise was also on her website at the time.) This did not happen. We were left with one week to dispose of various large items ourselves in a difficult time of Covid. The owner promised a prompt reckoning and payment from the auction. This also did not happen. It took several months and repeated reminders for any payment to arrive. The owner told us she had "overlooked" our payment because she was so busy. I live in another province. It took three months for items I bid on to arrive. Expect politeness and promises when you first talk to this owner but little follow-through. Very disappointing service.

Serial number showed that is still under warranty, but after taking it to an authorized manufacturer's repair center in Ontario, it was confirmed that the GPU, VRAM, and controllers had been professionally desoldered and stolen--likely as part of a larger criminal operation, a common tactic used by criminals to scam retailers and then offload the empty shells to unsuspecting buyers through "liquidators" like this one. I didn't buy a "broken" card; I bought a piece of worthless scrap metal with all the guts ripped out. When I presented the vendor with photographic evidence and professional documentation from the manufacturer inspection, they didn't offer a refund. Instead, they rudely closed my account immediately and banned me to avoid any accountability. They hide behind "salvage" policies to sell items that are essentially worthless e-waste. This is not a legitimate liquidator; it is a scam operation, not sure how it is still allowed to operate here. If you value your money, stay far away from maxx.ca.
