I have been meaning to write a review about our experience working with Sapeer and his crew but I waited because I wanted to make sure I wrote a good one because he deserves it. I am going to start first with our experience with the other contractors. My husband and I were looking for a contractor to help us fix my in-law's house so we could move in. We have met with one contractor and they convinced us must first replace the existing cinder fence around the house and fix the foundation of the house before even fixing the cracks on the walls and other stuff that really wanted done in the first. They sent us a proposal which we approved until we realized that they were not pulling permits. We asked them to do that first before proceeding with the project. That was last October and we never heard back from them until January, that was after me reaching out to them multiple times. By the time they got back to us, the new proposal of the project went up to $30K. Their reason being, the price of the materials have gone up since the last proposal. So we decided not to do the major work (fence and foundation) for now and just do the interior work. They said okay but then days went by. Then weeks went by. We never heard back from them. We got ghosted. They didn't even give us back the blue print of the house, I had to call them several times until they told us to go get it from their engineer. By now, we're so behind our schedule of moving into my in-law's house so now we had to scramble and find another contractor. We met with two contractors who never got back to us perhaps because the project we are proposing is not big enough. Then, someone referred me to EMPIRE HOME REMODELING. I immediately called and spoke with Sapeer, the owner. I found him easy to talk to, he listened well and he understood the urgency of the project. He said he was going to call back and he did. I truly appreciated that. My husband and I met with him shortly after the phone call. Very nice young man, presentable and respectful. We showed him all the areas that needed to be fixed inside the house and he took note of it. Not once did he push us to have the house foundation or the fence done because he understood that right now we just want the house to be move-in ready. We will have the major stuff done when our budget permits. Sapeer got back to us quickly with the proposal. I must say, we've never had any kind of construction work done so we don't know if the price for this specific project is fair but our instincts told us to just go with Sapeer. So we did. We met with Sapeer March 6 and work was started on March 8th. I met with his lead Luis and I went over the areas with him. Gave him the key to the empty house and the next day Luis and his crew started working on the house. They completed the project by March 10th. They don't mess around, they work super fast! Luis did a walk-through with my husband to make sure he approved everything before Luis and his team left. My husband was very satisfied and happy with the outcome. I checked their work with my husband after and I was so impressed, too! It was no rush job, they did a good job fast and they did it well. It is important to note that there were two-three items on the proposal that my husband and I ended up holding off. I spoke with Sapeer and we all three decided to keep it in our account as a credit, that's how much we trust him now. We're actually going to be calling him soon to finish those items we had him hold off. Would we recommend Sapeer? Wholeheartedly!!!! He made our first construction experience a positive one. He is so easy to work with, he does not push or upsell. I added pictures of the hardwood floors of a couple of rooms his crew re-polished. They did a magnificent job! We didn't have them do any interior painting, our family decided to make it a family affair which we did every Sunday after church. Great way to spend time together. read more

Do I recommend remodeling your kitchen, bathroom and laundry during a pandemic? No. Am I glad that I did it, yes. Am I glad that I used Empire home remodeling, very much so. I'm a first time home owner and this was a very big investment for me. I'm an art director for television so I know my way around design and construction. Which I'm sure is a mixed bag of good and bad when dealing with real world design and install. Sapeer and his team were very open and very easy going. It was a much longer process due to the supply chain being so out of whack and me choosing to use bespoke materials. The team adjusted to my extended timeline without ever making me feel bad that I was holding things up insisting on artist made tiles , etc. They were all very respectful of my home and were very clean in their work. I cannot recommend Empire Home Remodeling enough. After a really terrible bathroom renovation experience a few years ago, I had been hesitant to go through it again. I found Empire via a recommendation on Next Door. Sapeer returned my call the same day and came over for a consultation the following day. Having contract work done is never easy, the disruption alone can cause major anxiety. We interviewed several contractors and settled on Sapeer, not because he was the cheapest but because we felt he understood our goals and he wanted us to be happy, so we took the plunge. Sapeer is a great communicator, I mean he responds and quickly and that is very, very important so top marks there. Schedule: Although I pushed him very hard on a completion date Sapeer always maintained 4-6 weeks. The job was completed in 6 weeks. Would I have loved it in 4 weeks? Of course I would but Sapeer never once misled or over promised. Some holidays got in the way but 6 weeks later our Kitchen was complete so top marks there. Quality of work: Sapeer employs quite a few workers 98% of the workers that came to the house were polite, great workers and produced quality work. I did have an issue with one worker but I cant blame Sapeer for that. In fact, when I pointed the issue out to Sapeer he made sure that he took care of it, he came to the house with the worker and fixed the issue so top marks again.
