I was told the coating had been nicked, allowing water to get underneath and causing it to peel, and that I would need to pay for another refinish. While I understand that was their explanation, I expected a professionally refinished sink to be durable enough that a minor nick would not result in the entire finish failing twice in such a short period. I was disappointed that the work was not covered after two premature failures.

MY RESULTS ARE PHENOMENAL; LOOKS BRAND NEW! Here's my detailed experience w/ JP Bath Refinishing: I am the type of person who keeps his yard impeccable and always has projects. My cars and truck are always spotless and decked out, and I take pride in everything because I am grateful. BUT, I am always busy and I just paid no attention to the bath tub/shower combo. BAD CHOICE! It began to look AWFUL! EMBARRASSING! When I started making a point to make sure nobody saw it, I knew it was time to take action! Given the condition, I started looking around at different options for replacing the tub and having it re-tiled. It certainly was not going to be cheap! FORTUNATELY, I have friends in property management and they get to deal with the neglect issue all the time. They told me some horror stories, but also informed me that I did have other options, besides reaching deep into my pockets! The option was refinishing, and that made perfect sense, because without it, apartment, complexes, and other landlords would be buying an incredibly huge number of bathtubs! That got me thinking about a commercial with a jingle that I heard all growing up AND for a business that provided the exact service I needed. In fact, it was even a TV commercial and a guy with a top hat would come out of the bathtub. I think just with a bathing suit, but that visual certainly sticks in my head! The company was Bath Tub Refinishers, and the last part of their jingle said: "Your tub and tile will put on a smile." I asked around & learned that the owner had passed away very recently, apparently, with no contingency plan, so the company was essentially no more. I got VERY LUCKY because I also learned that the essential resource behind the company, the guy who had all the actual skills and experience, had decided to continue to utilize his exceptional talent and start his own business, which is how I came across Jose, the owner/operator of JP Bath Refinishing! This was ideal, because in a way, it cut out the middleman, and I was able to work with Jose directly. He told me what he could do, said it was definitely the type of damage he fixes, and he was right. JP transformed my bathtub, which was in a completely unacceptable & embarrassing condition, and made it look like a brand new bath tub and tile job! I just think about the money I saved, and the fact that I didn't throw away something that was perfectly good and repairable! I would recommend Jose and his company to anyone and everyone who needs their bath tub or shower refinished. If you're like me, and you think you need a new one, but don't wanna pay a fortune, then let him work his magic! I'm just in awe and had to leave a review! He is a try craftsman, recognized our 60 year old wood, matched with a piece we needed replacing, and really cared about preserving the beauty of our floor. I got Nhance to refinish my kitchen cabinets. -They dont…read moresand or prep -So much hair and paint chunks in the finished look - super thin paint, not enamel, just poor paint - paint just comes off in most places with minimal contact They will not sand and prep my cabinets and re-paint. They already got paid $6k for it so all they WILL do is charge me $2.6k to replace the cabinets doors. My doors and drawers are in great condition, there's no need to replace them but I can't afford to pay someone else to take it all down, sand, prep and re-paint again. NOT HAPPY They said they wash the cabinets down and the paint isn't sticking because of oils on the surface over the years. Well sanding takes care of that. And my question is...If YOU KNOW your method doesnt work well with refinishing, why keep doing it that way? I SEE WHY THEY HAVE TERRIBLE REVIEWS. They came over to give an estimate and didn't have an example of what the finished product would look or feel like but told me it would be enamel-like. Its more like a thinner, less covering paint. It was supposed to be in gloss and they did a satin finish, so no shine at all. I also spent a lot of time and money choosing my color. Went thru 17 different samples and they cost $8 each. But I found my color, they said they can match anything. It was supposed to be a faint sage color. They said they couldn't match it on the DAY OF WORK. If I would have known that they couldn't match it, I could have given them my second choice which was a warm vanilla shade. But since it was the day of, I just went with it. The cabinets doors and drawers are very thinly covered and lots of chunks and hairs and grit in the paint. Now it does look nice from afar but not up close and not the color i chose, but what they chose FOR ME. They told me "we dont have every single color" but i was told they could color match anything. It was quick and finished on time but not the color I wanted or the sheen and you can see some areas where I did paint swatches on the doors, just the outline of the old paint because they dont sand anything. Paint is already chipping off and lots of areas that came off when tape was removed. I took pics and sent them so they came out and asked where the issues were. I pointed out all the chunks, hairs, areas that were already peeling off, the nail that was sticking out and they just painted over it and minimal coverage areas. They said i signed a contract acknowledging that there would be "some pitting" , i didnt realize "some pitting" was every surface, front,back, top, bottom, left and right. It just looks like it didn't get full coverage. Owner said i was "too picky" and he'd be proud to show off this work. Well I guess thats good cause its going on your review! They said they would touch it all up and if I wasnt happy, they would re-paint. So after the touch up, I said I wasnt happy because the coverage was still showing the wood color thru. Owner said they weren't going to repaint. I was like? You JUST told me that you would re-paint but now you wont. So I said I guess we're done. So a few days later, owner called and said he knew i didnt like it and was unhappy that the paint comes off so easy everywhere and the coverage is so thin. So he told me i could pay another $2.5k and theyd replace the doors so that the paint wont come off the new ones. I have to do it because the paint is going to be a disaster in just a few weeks anyhow and i dont have another $6k to pay someone else to sand and prep and paint correctly. So now I'll be out $8.5k and still have to repaint the base next year im sure but the doors will be fine.... I hope. The longer I have been looking at my cabinets, the sadder I have been getting. I wish I would have just done it myself because I'm out so much money and I dont have the kitchen I wanted and STILL have to paint a large amount myself now after all. If you look at my pictures you can see the swatch of my color and the color they chose for me. I'm so disappointed and out a ton of money too. I have over 35 pics of hair and chunks in the paint, didnt post all but you get the idea . Was it fast? Yes Was it quality work? No Do I regret this whole endeavor? TOTALLY
