DO NOT use Empire for your roofing needs! Marlin, the owner doesn't even have the decency to return phone calls or deal with any problems his company has caused. He actually has his staff screen calls, promise he will return messages after multiple attempts, yet goes completely off the grid to avoid conflict. He completely takes advantage of senior citizens , overpricing his work, completely screwing up roofs and applying shingles incorrectly where they are lifting in some areas and disintegrating in others. Horrible experience - having to take legal action to deal with this crook! Run away !! read more

Had work done by this company almost 4-5 years ago - 3 different crews were hired under them to perform the work. The crew members argued amongst one another frequently. They sided OVER my backyard light (still not fixed), didn't clip in all siding correctly (hence causing pieces to blow or break off over time), drip edges/soffit have issues, still find roofing nails here and there in the yard, they had left a partial pack of shingles behind in backyard (someone finally picked that up) during "clean up", there are several areas on the home where the trim was placed sloppily and there are exposed nails, etc visible from the ground! Had internal damage from an area not sealed correctly. Unfortunately, very little response or things done to correct these issues!! Despite calling, texting AND contacting through social media. Someone would acknowledge - then I wouldn't hear back for months. Finally this past winter someone came to fix one of the major issues - but only patched it temporarily - STILL waiting for a full/actual repair so that future damage(s) don't occur. I don't know of any reputable company that wouldn't WANT to assist their prior customers with shoddy work and issues BEFORE taking on more/new. read more

I have been given the run around for over a month regarding a quote given to my husband and I about work we needed on a home we bought based on their experts quote. After the money for repair was tied into the sale of our new home and check written to Empire from the title company Empire came back with a new price that was double the original quote. The excuse given was that the person that gave the quote was no longer with the company. They have said that they would try to contract out the job but we have heard nothing from them in a week and a half. I hope that my opinion will be changed but at this point I feel abandoned and taken advantage of. I would not trust their word or quote. Bad business in my opinion. read more

In April we paid Empire in full for a new roof and insulation on our cabin. They told us they would start the job memorial weekend. They had a dumpster delivered, filling our driveway for a month. They called the garbage company a month later and said they didn't need it yet. Mind you it's a 60 mile round trip for the garbage company each time. Then in July they called for another dumpster to be delivered. It sat in the driveway for a week, when they yet again called the garbage company again to say they didn't need it. The third time they called for one the garbage company said they need to pay him a trip for for all their travels. Empire refused. So when they went to start the job labor day weekend (three months after the original start date) they had no dumpster and the garbage company refused to work with them. So I had to pay their bills and guarantee payment myself. I had to be the one who called to say the dumpster is full, and request a new one. I had to pay their prior trip fees. The day before they were set to start our job, the crew they had scheduled to work on our roof was arrested by ICE (immigration), and deported. So with no crew available they sent one roofer and three boys ages 12-14 who knew nothing about roofing to do the job. The man is a very nice man, but he had no help. One man doing the whole roof by himself. Then they sent him to another job before the roof was even half done. So our roof sat with no shingles for a few weeks. It snowed during this point. They sent over a crew for an afternoon finally and they did some of the work. Then a few weeks later they sent the one guy to finish. Then a few weeks later, after I got after them, they sent someone to clean up all the supplies that were blocking half my driveway. So today is October 22, 6 months after I gave Empire a check, and I would still not consider this a finished job. There is a roof jack still screwed into the roof, and insulation hanging out of the roof, and garbage everywhere. Haven't had a return call from the company yet. Also we paid for a full tear down of the roof, and a full tear down did not happen. We have yet to receive a refund for the labor, and materials. read more
