My experience with Empire Today and their contractors in the Denver area was far below average. From the moment we signed the papers to have vinyl flooring installed on our main floor, we ran into issue after issue. On the first day, two workers came to remove the carpet and prep the floor. Halfway through the day, one worker left for a doctor's appointment and never returned, leaving one person to do the entire job alone. We even bought him lunch because we genuinely felt bad for him. The second day was the same situation, one worker alone installing the floors all day. As the work progressed, we started noticing multiple problems: Missing or incomplete edging Scratches and paint damage to our kitchen island from moving flooring materials around Incorrect trim materials being used because, according to the installer, "the company didn't provide the right materials" The trim pieces didn't match, were oddly shaped, and didn't properly cover areas they were supposed to. My partner ended up repainting and caulking parts themself just to make it look halfway decent. Then we discovered they weren't planning to install flooring in a small connected section near our garage entry and stairs because they "weren't told to do that area." It made absolutely no sense to leave two stairs and a pathway unfinished and different from the rest of the flooring. When we contacted Empire about it, they admitted it was a "misunderstanding" and tried to charge us nearly $1,200 extra to complete the area that should have been included from the beginning. After pushing back, I was able to get the price lowered by a couple hundred dollars, but the entire financing situation became another headache. We had already been approved for a specific financing amount through Empire when we originally signed the contract. When I asked if they could simply add the additional amount onto the financing, they told me they couldn't because only part of the credit line was still available. I then asked if they could split the payment, putting part on the financing and letting me pay the remaining balance out of pocket, and they said they couldn't do that either. So because of THEIR mistake in calculating the flooring square footage, I had to suddenly come up with extra money out of pocket to finish the job. The same installer came back, again working alone, and completed the added section. A few days later, I went downstairs and discovered the carpet at the top stair leading to the basement had been cut up and damaged, and surrounding wood pieces were broken. Nobody mentioned it to us. I contacted Empire again, sent photos, and after over two weeks they finally responded saying they would send the same contractor back out because of their "warranty process." When he returned, he still didn't have the correct materials. At one point he found a piece of picture-frame molding in our garage and asked if he could use that as trim. At that point we just wanted the situation over with and said yes. Now, only weeks later, several sections of the vinyl flooring are separating from each other. We contacted Empire AGAIN and specifically requested a different installer because this same contractor had already returned multiple times to "fix" issues. Today, the exact same installer showed up again and told us the separation was due to weather changes and that he would just glue the planks and hammer them back together. At this point, I would never recommend Empire Today to anyone. The workmanship has been poor, communication has been frustrating, damage was done to our home, and we've had repeated issues within the first month of installation. We're now stuck continuing to pay for flooring that has been a constant headache. read more

The subcontracted crew did a poor job, but once I was able to get in contact with Greg, the General Manager, he promptly came out to our house and assessed the issue. He immediately contacted Benjamin, a trusted carpenter and woodworker. Benjamin was able to come out the very next day and fix the issue. Our floors look great, and we are very impressed with the flooring material. The product we chose is an exclusive product of Empire, and it exceeded our expectations both visually and structurally. We received only the best response and assistance from Greg and Benjamin in fixing the issue caused by the subcontractor, and we are overall pleased with the value and service we got from Empire. One missing thing would have made this a five-star review, and here is where I think Empire can improve. It would be beneficial to both the customers AND Empire to send a QC Manager or Install Manager or Workmanship Inspector or even the original salesperson out to the client's site at the end of the job to give a look at the work done by the subcontracted crew. The subcontractors may have made errors that they assume that the homeowner won't notice, and because they don't work directly for the homeowner, may neglect to fix those errors. When they do this, they are representing Empire, and, as the reviews show, this leads to a poor opinion of the company itself. If these crews knew an Empire rep would be checking their work every time, they would be more likely to do an excellent job the first time around. It would also make the clients feel better about the process, as this would show that Empire is just as concerned about customer satisfaction on the day the contract is completed as they are on the day it is signed. Well Empire is a scam! They come to your home and pretend to be transparent about pricing, warranties, and installers but all they do is make sure they hook you to get your business. I am surprised at the outcome of our situation but I should have known. We had a flood in our basement and the brand new flooring was damaged! We were just trying to get someone to access the damage so that we could turn it into our home owners insurance and it took them 3 weeks to get back to us. NO one called or emailed that they didn't receive the picture or videos because they cannot receive videos but not one of the $ reps could tell me that before I had to call in myself to find out. Only then did I finally get an appointment. It started like this so I should have known. We had 1 installer for the first 3 days which was the total install time frame they gave us. On the 4th day, another installer came he was lazy and smoked a lot of cigarettes with unlimited breaks. He came in and just started throwing the flooring down ultimately missing it up and the other installer had to fix it. The warranty was even worse! We get information that the warranty covers accidental scratching with minimal details but our flooring has accidently scratching under what they are informing us about. I call in to get the warranty to replace the one room and I was told that my claim was denied because there has to be one reason to why it was accidently scratched. Like WHAT!! it does not even say that in your warranty detail that you are handing out to customers who trusted the process. Accidently is just that accidently! It could have be the dogs, the cowboy boots the chairs, the broom, the snack tray wheels or all of the above. I should not have to narrow it down to get my floors replaced after paying $9,000 to your company. Customer Service reps are heartless and just read from a script. Customer Service is awful. They do not communicate at all. The salesperson come to my home, gave me his speech - had me give him a deposit - assured me that my carpet would be installed the following Saturday between 8AM and 6PM. He had me sign and after he left, I got a copy of the contract which had a ton of small print!! Saturday came and went and they never showed up. When I called after 6pm, I was told they would reschedule. I told them I didn't want to waste another day so I just wanted a refund. Then I find out - the next business day that they were going to charge ME with a 75% penalty for cancelling. My advice - don't do business with them and if you do, make sure you read all the fine print very carefully - even if the salesperson has to stand there and wait for you. Lesson learned. read more

The initial flooring that was put in my was put in incorrectly. It started buckling two years later, which it shouldn't have called back took four months to get the resolution for them to come back and fix the floor. They could not fix it. They have to replace it four months with the with putting me on hold for 45 minutes. I had Empire Today install wood flooring which I assumed would match the rest of the adjoining wood floors in the rest of my home. The salesman was confident that they could match the color. He took measurements and said that he might not be able to find a wood furnace grate replacement. When the installers came, only one could speak limited English. He brought a few boards in and pointed to them. I wasn't sure what that meant and said OK. When they were finished, not only did the floors not match in color but they installed a rounded piece of wood that transitioned from the existing wood floor to the newly installed wood. I am a senior citizen with peripheral neuropathy. Not only is this an esthetic issue but a tripping hazard for me. I would give less than 1 star if I could. Long story-, I got new carpeting in my whole house. They told me two ppl would come to do the living room so I just had to prep by making sure nothing was heavy. On the day of install only one guy came and he could not move the furniture they said they would on his own so I had to help. The installer also could barely speak English so communication was difficult. After he installed and asked me to sign paperwork he has moved the small couch into the room on his own but i told him I would help with the rest. Fast forward less than a month later, i moved the couch and found a spot where the carpet was frayed and clearly had a defect. I called immediately and they said they could patch it. I try to get a date for them to come and I kept not getting a response. My father got diagnosed with cancer and I had to focuse on my family and forgot to keep trying to get soemone to respond. I had emailed and called multiple times. Fast forward months later, i email again and again...called multiple times and was told again they would come to fix it and given some dates. I called back and left a voicemail for the date I wanted....no response..i emailed....no response...called 10times no response. Finally I got the new customer service rep who confided in me that he took over all branches of CO and AZ and it was a shit show. He apologized and said he would get back to me. I had to email and call him over 20times with him constantly saying he would get back to me. It's now been over 7months and he finally emails me back saying everything they were going to do they can't and is past warranty! They would give me a new carpet but I had to pay a 1k for labor to replace it. And oh I forgot to mention that we still find nails everywhere from the installers not flattening them and I have to pay 1k for install again?! I am going to consult a lawyer as this has been so stressful and I paid a lot of money to have this done!I should never have had to do so much work to get decent customer service and he admitted that they messed-up and yet still would not fix what they did! We cannot trace the reason for the carpet to have that damage and since the project was signed off upon installation there is not ability to trace back to the install. If we filed a claim with the manufacturer, it is highly likely it will be denied. Ia sorry but the only option is to offer a quote to replace the carpet. This is the worst experience you will have installing your new flooring and the additional joy is it goes on and on. You may get lucky and your issue will get resolved. Don't bank on it though - as all these one stars will attest to. It's now in the Better Business Bureau's hands for me then a lawyer. I wish I could recommend this company but our experience was terrible. Sales person, Bobbie, had no clue what the installers actually do and did not explain what the final install would look like. Installers broke a piece of furniture. They tried to fix it with out saying anything and completely destroyed the piece. Bobbie promised to call us back to let us know what they were going to do for us but we havent heard from her. That was 4 days ago. Bobbie's managers didn't have time to give her a solution, they were too busy in meetings. You have to pay infull before the install is complete so Empire holds all the cards. They dont care about you or the vendors they hire. If you dont sign off on the job, they just dont pay their installers (who are subcontractor with crews that are not supervised unless you complain). We scheduled an appointment to have someone come and look at our home so they could show us flooring options and give us a quote for the flooring and installation. After waiting almost 2 weeks for the appointment, they were a no show. We had to call in to find out no one was coming and they couldn't be bothered to contact us. My husband had taken off of work for the appointment all for NOTHING! When we called they acted like it was not a big deal and offered a tiny discount for the inconvenience. No thanks! If they are that disorganized and nonchalant about customer service before they even get your business, I can't imagine the issues we would have with them if we hired them. This is for Jason Mayes's team. Jason was great to work with the first time around and we were happy with the carpeting. However the second time, he didn't respond to me in time when I was shopping for kitchen floors, and due to time constraints, I went with a different choice. He was upset about it (and I understand why), but again due to the limited turnaround time, it is what it is. His team was still responsible for install. They pulled out my fridge (that doesnt have wheels) and yanked it so hard that the door hinged broke. The door completely fell off when we moved back into the house. So we had to either wait a week for the fridge tech to come out to fix the door or fix it ourselves asap since all the cold air was escaping the doorless fridge. I asked Green Gables to reach out to him and I also reached out to him directly. I asked if he knew who worked on the fridge and he just asked why. He never followed up with me after that. read more

I needed to have carpet removed and asked for LVP, the salesman wasn't really listening to me and set up install for linoleum flooring and they sent him back to me to reorder the right product. he showed me three colors and I chose the medium one. it was installed in one room and I hated how dark it was. finally, I told Scott I never wanted to see that salesman again) Empire sent me a saleswoman, Elizabeth, who explained how going from carpet to vinyl impacts the floorboard placement and there were numerous grade/types of vinyl flooring to choose from. We went thru them together and found the one best for my home! She was terrific! The installer, Scott and his crew, were amazing! Scott supported my decisions and his crew took care of everything in a professional manner. I had also requested my stairs be replaced with LVP. The quote I received apparently was not even close to what the cost would be. Scott was kind enough to explain what would really need to be done for LVP on stairs. I ended up having carpet installed. The crew that did the stairs came quickly to install but told me the measurements were wrong (the salesman's error) and they'd have to come back the next day with the correct amount of new carpet. They did a good job in the end. The entire process ended up taking over a week. Empire did waive the cost of the first bedroom install and I'm grateful for that. The original salesman was bad in every way and made zero effort to provide the information a client would need as well as the products available. If Scott wasn't part of my experience, i would have rated the overall experience one star! I have never had such a great hard working team work on any project in my home. They came out very quickly to give an estimate. Then selected a date for install but needed to have carpentry done first due to a flood and gave a deposit. They added charges for an extended warranty which they did not tell me about. The estimator didn't even leave a card or any paper work. Then I decided to have all the work done by another company which would do more than just flooring I cancelled 6 days before the install and was hit with a 25% cancelation fee which was never explained. read more

BUYER BEWARE- DO NOT BUY THE EXTENDED WARRANTY FOR SCRATCHES AND DAMAGES TO YOUR NEW FLOORING OR CARPET. This is why: I'm a long time customer and have had 3 of my homes done through Empire. I have previously gave this company the highest reviews until now. I paid for 2 flooring jobs this year 2024 and I purchased the extra warranty in case of scratches or damages that occurs within 3 years of the purchase. The sales team really pumped me up on this and said "it is a no brainer", "if you have damage or scratches they come and fix it for free." I was sold. I should have known better. I put in a claim, which by the way the claim process is difficult at best, last month. After getting the run around I received a message on my phone stating, "we have denied your claim, we will mail you the reasons." I had reported scratches and water damage which is covered under this policy, I paid for the warranty that covers scratches and other types of damage such as water spills etc., and they DENIED me and will not fix them. You pay a little over $500.00 for this warranty, its based on the sale price. I have 2 floors that I paid nearly $1,000.00 in warranty and it is worthless. I can not believe this is happening especially since I have spent a lot of money with this company over the years. As a return customer I feel exploited, defrauded. I hope to get my money back. It took two months to get my kitchen floor linoleum replaced. They laid down sheets, but billed me an extra $2000 for plank. Be very aware of this company. I'm going to be filing a lawsuit in small claims court. Also, they sent me to installers who didn't speak English, and there was no way for me to communicate with them not even with a translator on my phone. it was a nightmare. My insurance company left me out to drive because they are not gonna pay empire's bill which is $2000 over. I had flooring and carpet installed. I was pleased with how fast they could schedule for the install. The issue is the workers. The crew they sent couldn't speak or understand English. I am beyond frustrated as I needed to have them come back to correct some installation issues and they can't understand what needs to be done. I am not attacking the workers but the company that thinks it's okay sending a crew out that doesn't understand/speak English. It isn't convenient to speak into a phone to translate/communicate. With the money I paid for the flooring, I expect that workers in my home would speak English. At a minimum a translator should be present to avoid any misunderstandings. This was an epic failure and I wouldn't recommend anyone taking this chance and using Empire. read more

It's hard to give 1 star. This company does not care at all about their clients. Their install was absolutely horrible with seams throughout our house. You literally don't have to have much experience to lay carpet right. Then the sales person missed an entire room. They then had to refund us. Then they never showed up when they were coming their 4th time to fix the seams. They ended up not being able to fix one seem so the install was not complete. After they "no-showed" their company told us the color was not in stock anymore and they needed to do a whole install. We are trying to just get our money back. They have 1.2 stars with the bbb and they don't care at all about their customers. Horrible company. Horrible policies. Go to another company! Very beyond frustrated at our experience with Empire. We were repeat customers after our first install went great in 2019. We explained in detail what we needed for our floors. We wanted no seams and carpet to match existing carpet in both quality and color. Sales guy assures us he can do just that because the rolls are 14ft. Flash forward to install day, the installer first informs us he doesn't have enough carpet for the upstairs hallway and stairs and has to come back at another day. Then he says the room we wanted no seam in has to have a seam because the rolls are only 12ft. We called the sales guy and he started arguing that the installer is wrong and the carpet should fit the floor he measured without a seam. When the installer came back he said the carpet for the upstairs was not the same quality and was a builder quality and very cheap to what we were matching to. The carpet the sales guy assured would work was almost an entire 1/2" shorter then the existing carpet and would be of a completely lesser quality and not last. We refused the install and asked that it be rectified with a new option. The sales guy was not nice or professional in hearing our concerns. He stated "that's what you get bc that's what you chose". He directed us to the customer complaint line. It's been over 3 months now and we've talked to over 10 people. The people that have gone out of their way to listen and help us are no longer with the company. Another sales guy from Empire who came out to help us was fantastic showed us the carpet that would best match and re-quoted us at a price that was considerably cheaper than the cheap quality one first quoted (explain that one?). This sales guy said he'd get back to us and again when we called him back and he's no longer employed as well. So we're still here with a half finished job and a seam in a room we were sold on a guarantee not having one in. To top it off we were charged for the half finished job. They claim there is a signature on file for the work completed but this is a lie and fraud. We did not sign anything as we were not agreeing the job was complete. The form they claim has a signature on does not match at all. No one will take this into consideration. At this point we are going to have to find legal help. Update: Got an email that they have tried to contact us but every time we answer it cuts out or when we call back it goes straight to voicemail. I am rating 1 star for Empire customer service process. We had carpet installed in 2021 due to an exterior soffit issue that caused indoor water damage. Since the damage was due to the soffit the HOA hired a restoration company who hired Empire to replace the carpet. Fast forward 2024-25, we noticed the carpet had a wrinkle. Wrinkling or buckling of carpet happens because carpet was improperly installed. My husband called Empire to ask about stretching the carpet. He called the ph# that was on the paperwork that had my name and the restoration company's name on it. The customer service person, Gloria, gave him the initial install date, reference number and said in 1-3 business days he would get a call. No one called back in 1-3 business days so he called them and they could not find the reference number nor anything else. He then gave them the restoration company and our address and it was found. My husband was then told this 'issue' for stretching the carpet would be escalated and he would get a call within 24 hrs. No call. So I got involved and was able to speak to a supervisor, Julie, who I had to explain everything to, and she said that because my husband's name was not on the account with the restoration company, the reference number was closed out. The supervisor went on to say that in order to protect customer confidentiality information is not to be released to callers who are not on accounts; however, when my husband called the first time, they gave him information he did not ask for. Why didn't they just say that when he called the first time that they would need to speak with the restoration company or me? The supervisor would not agree or disagree on what had been said but she did say that she would personally call the schedulers to call me within 24 hours, and set up an appointment for stretching the carpet and I asked if she could add my husband since I may not always be available to answer my phone. She said that would be ok. No one called me. I also noticed that the name Navisis Financials was linked to the Empire ph# I had been calling 800-588-2300. I thought this was odd. This was on a Thursday. So Tuesday, after the holiday, I called Empire and gave the representative my name, address, ph# and she transferred me to a supervisor. I then spoke to Joe, a supervisor who said the company in Colorado Springs would not be doing the stretching. He said the warranty lapsed and and they do not stretch carpets. He looked up the restoration company's account and was asking me if my husband's name was someone I never heard of, and then he asked if my address was one that was not mine. He was giving me information that should be secure, according to their policy. Very frustrating since I had already given my information. He said he was looking at the restoration company's information of clients. I will say Joe was kind but not very knowledgeable. I asked if that was the only Empire Company in Colorado and he said yes. Wrong answer. There are other Empire offices in Colorado. I told him about the Empire ph# number being linked with Navisis and he said that is something I would need to let my phone carrier know about. He didn'tknow any anout Navisis. I asked him to give me the ph# for Colorado Springs. I was going to call them later. However, 4.5 hours later, Mike from, Empire in Denver called, on my husband's phone. He confirmed that they would not be doing carpet stretching and went on to give an analogy that did not make any sense about oil changes & cars and going to get service with other companies other than where you bought the car. I also told him about the Navisis Financial name linking with Empire's ph#. He said that Empire is owned by Navisis and that he would look into why their name is linked with them. Apparently Empire supervisors do not who owns them. I am going to let the restoration company know about this fiasco so they will know who they are partnering with. Empire did not install our carpet right and that is why is is wrinkling and they won't stretch it now and they don't follow policies on keeping clients information secure and the customer service is poor. read more

Absolutely the worst experience I've ever had. We had luxury vinyl plank flooring installed about 8 months ago. The installation was a bit of a nightmare, as the installers scratched the flooring and then couldn't get our appliances put back correctly after the installation was done. Now, we have planks that have shifted, and the top layer of vinyl has come up on several pieces. I called to have someone come out and repair it, and described in detail (with pictures) what was wrong. When the repair person came on the scheduled day, he came in to the house and took one quick look and said that he didn't have enough materials to complete the repair that day, and that we would have to call to reschedule. He had two boxes of planks in his truck, and I had one box in my house, but he determined - without measuring - that he didn't have enough material. So I called Empire and talked to Erica, who put me back on the schedule two weeks later. The night before repair effort #2 was to take place, Erica called me and left a voicemail to say that they had to reschedule again, because the installer said he didn't have enough material to complete the repair. WITHOUT EVER SEEING THE FLOOR. She asked me to return her call so that we could reschedule. I tried calling her the following business day, left a voicemail, and never heard back from her. I called her the following day and the day after that, left messages, and never heard back from her. Two days later, at 8:40 AM, I received a call from an installer saying that he would be there at 9:00 for the repair. Apparently someone scheduled the repair without my knowledge. So I said fine, I'll see you at 9:00. I just wanted to get it taken care of. At 10:20 the installer finally showed up, and again said that they didn't have enough material to do the repair, because apparently it needs to be a full floor replacement, not just a repair, and that I would have to call to reschedule AGAIN. Apparently, we have to replace the entire floor because the floor we were sold does not support a wheelchair. WHY DID THE SALES PERSON - WHO KNEW THERE WAS A WHEELCHAIR IN THE HOUSE - SELL US A FLOOR THAT WAS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH A WHEELCHAIR?!?!? This is just one more example of their complete and total incompetence. This company has the worst customer service I've ever experienced. The work is shoddy and the materials they use are sub-par... I shouldn't have to replace so many planks after just 8 months. The office team doesn't know what the install team is doing, and vice-versa. It would be comical if it wasn't so frustrating. We had an appointment scheduled for today (5/8). They never came out, even thought we paid in full. No idea when they will be coming out as of right now. Would never recommend this company to anyone. We hired empire to replace our carpet with vinyl on our stairs and it was the worst experience I've ever had. Besides showing up late and taking a long time to complete they didn't even bother filling in the nail holes on the steps and told us there was nothing they could do. Eventually we filled them in ourselves and it looks alright but you're better off paying the extra money and going with a company that knows what they are doing. read more

DO NOT USE EMPIRE TODAY! To anyone considering a flooring project, do not use Empire Today unless you want a completely terrible experience. From the sales associate that appeared to know what she was doing but ultimately knew very little to the install crew that was overwhelmed and spoke no English and damaged our drywall all over the staircase. The measurements from the sales lady were grossly inaccurate according to the installer yet upon completion, the install crew took 12 boxes of new flooring that we paid for, but Empire Today claims it was returned. Additionally, the install crew setup and started working but abruptly stopped and told us to call and submit the final payment, paying the project off completely before they would do anything else. This goes against everything that consumer watchdogs tell us. Empire Today wants to get in and get out as fast as possible and they have left our staircase damaged and unfinished to this day, six months later. When trying to call and complain, you will be ignored and lied to if you do get lucky and get a call back. We have just recently been told that we are responsible for the drywall repairs and trim completion. The install crew took zero care to cover areas to protect them from the dust which made a horrible mess for us to clean up. They continuously left interior doors propped open which we repeatedly told them to keep closed so our cats would not escape....they did not understand us. Don't subject yourselves to what we have gone through with Empire Today, since you pay in full, up front, they have no interest in making things right and completing the job. I had new railing put up so the carpet had to be redone around the post and stairs ...called them over 10 days ago, still no response. Went to Home advisor....within 24 hours had 3 responses...hired guy day one...day 2 done. If I waited for empire to call...well....I would still have carpet untucked...so the guy that came out... DON'T DO IT. We've been waiting almost a year for a response about the new floors they installed now popping up and the damage caused to our stainless steel refrigerator. Our rep stopped responding and never solved the issue. So now we have terrible looking floors and a dented refrigerator - all for $5k! They also left the house full of dust.. I hired a water mitigation company to address water damage in my basement. The company sub-contacted Empire Today to replace my floors at the end. An employee from the water mitigation company installed quarter inch rounds to cover some gaps. At the end, we noticed that the laminate had a lot of defects (glue/silicone drips, etc.). We don't know if those defects were caused by the laminate installation or the quarter inch round installation. But both companies acknowledged the defects and promised to fix/replace my floors. In the meantime, we also noticed that around $1,800 of jewelry went missing during the flooring project. A police report was filed and none of the parties was able to find the culprit. However, the water mitigation company sent me an email after the police report and said that Empire today is not responding to them and that my project is now with their legal team and that at this point, they are done with my project. I was later able to connect directly with a senior manager at Empire Today who was surprised about what the other company told me about Empire. The manager said "we will fix your floors because that's the right thing to do". The water mitigation company lied about Empire Today and used them as an excuse and left me with defective floors after taking my money. But Empire did the right thing and provided excellent customer service. They never charged me any additional money for redoing the entire floors impeccably. All the managers and technical people from Empire were incredibly professional and highly skilled. Update on my previous review: I was contacted by Empire after my review and they promised to make things right. We set up another appointment for an estimate and Juan was right on time, very friendly, very thorough, and explained all of my options. I was expecting the inevitable push to upgrade to a more expensive pad and higher end carpet but it never came! The installers came a few days later right on the scheduled time. They were friendly and efficient and got the job done rather quickly. The total cost was--not much--but a little UNDER the estimate! That is a rarity in todays world! Unfortunately, I was at work as a nurse earning my money while the hideous vinyl tile I did not pick out got installed. It did not seem to matter to the salesperson Carson his manager or the installer that it was not what I had selected. The trip and detail work was very Sloppy. I will have to have it all redone as they will not correct it and tole me it was what I picked out and I was stuck with it. What a shame that's how their customer is. Even if it is the same tile me tell me these look alike? First photo is the sample I chose and second photo is what I got. It looks terrible with my beige colors in my home. TL;DR Don't call this company. Opt for a local, reputable company that communicates with its customers and doesn't hound you for business. The salesmen are friendly but can be pushy to get you to commit on the spot. They are however, on-time and honest about what needs to be done and what they can do for you. They are probably the only good thing about this company. The installers were late to my appointment and did not communicate when they would show up, they just did at the end of the day. They did quick work, but they used my personal towels to clean up any messes and left them soaking wet on my couch. Like another commenter said, they took off a door and did not hang it back on the hinges. Not a huge turnoff, but strange nonetheless. I recently got a cold call from their sales reps who said I had 50% off installation and materials, so I let them schedule an appointment to see what it would cost me to replace my kitchen vinyl. The salesman was honest and told me since I rent the house, it is not worth the money (about $2000). Fine, I appreciate openness. I got a call this morning at work from a man asking how the appointment went and why I did not follow through. I explained my budget constraints and he asked me why I even bothered calling them for an estimate when my budget was so low, and that no company would ever do the work for that price. Okay??? I didn't call them, they called me, and you're calling me at work to patronize me for having a small budget? I got LVP installed by Empire Today in December 2023. the same day of the installation I informed them that there were markings on 10-15 planks. I had the sales rep come and see the markings and she put in a service request to change the affected planks. Here we are in February 2024 and I finally received a call by RUDE Erica in customer service saying they won't be doing anything about it since the markings are part of the floor design with imperfection. Big company rips off Homeowner. Vinyl planking installed 6/22. Paid extra to have stack washer/dryer moved and flooring placed under ( then units put back in place). Installer was concerned about complications with moving the appliance, said they could edge trim up to the front. We trusted their professional judgment. Empire will not refund the money we paid to have the units moved. To add to it we also paid for the flooring that never was installed under the appliance. The big company rips off the little guy! I have used Empire for many projects over the years, but they have gotten significantly worse over time. For my current project I was looking to put in engineered hardwood for a space measuring 350 sqft. Empire was having a "half off everything" sale so I gave them a call. $4500 +tax was their "half off" price. After looking around a bit more I found that the big box stores (Home Depot and Lowes) would do the same work, with like materials, for about $1000 less. I called the salesman back to see if he could match it and got a speech about their superior install and lifetime warranty. So I called the main support number to talk to someone else. The rep I talked to said he could knock it down to 3500, but he needed to talk to a supervisor and would call me back in 5 minutes. 5 minutes, went by, then an hour, then a day. I called back and asked to speak to the rep again and was put on hold for over an hour before I gave up. I emailed them twice; No response. After that I text the rep and asked if he could come back out with his samples to see if there was something in my budget that would work; No reply. Apparently if Empire can't screw you, they don't want to talk to you. Which is fine I guess. They came out and refused to replace the flooring that was damaged by them taking the flooring protection that was there before they came to install the new flooring.
