Update: The company saw our review and made it right, they credited us back an amount to cover the paint repairs we need to make, every experience can't be perfect but the fact that they reached out to make it right was thoughtful and a testament on how satisfied they want their customers to be. Original review: Our experience was okay, purchasing and the ordering of the floors were easy and pleasant, the carpet came in quicker than expected which was nice. After our carpet was installed I had to fill Out a satisfaction form in front of the installer, which was uncomfortable since they were right there, I don't think that would allow for honest feedback. I had to have them tac down the carpet after I inspected it in a few places, and then when my husband checked it later, he noticed how they really scuffed up our baseboards and new paint, the paint scuffs was from them bringing the carpet down stairs all along the ceiling, I wish they were careful as we had just freshly painted the basement the week prior and now have to buy more paint and do it again. We did confirm the carpet together but we did not confirm the plush padding and based on the feel we aren't 100% sure it's the one we purchased. Also, the installer seemed surprised that I wanted to keep the additional roll of carpet we paid for. I'm leaving the experience bummed out. read more

tl;dr highly recommend Denver Carpet and Flooring--my experience was with new carpet, and they had the most competitive price, accounted for all the prework I had done in the quote (demo/furniture moving/etc), were extremely responsive and friendly, and the install was excellent and went exactly as planned. We needed new carpet after a water snafu, and called a few different companies. It wasn't a huge space and we had done the demo, moved all furniture, and there were already tack strips down. The national big box option initially quoted $4K then magically "brought it down" to a little over 3K. The smaller boutique local option I'm sure would've done a great job, but quoted even higher than that. And then Denver Carpet and Flooring--a slightly larger but still local option--came and were super friendly and reasonable, accounted for the prework we had done, and quoted ~$2K for a nicer product than the big box store with no sales gimmicks. We are very happy with the above and beyond efforts all the employees of the one and only Denver Carpet and Flooring demonstrate even before making an order. Heather is on the phone with a smile in her voice always. We haven't stumped her once with a question. Our carpeting was the first project and it was laid with precision as there was a natural nap. The quality of the pad and carpet transformed the room as if one walks on a cloud before retiring. Our second project was with laminate flooring. I then chose another carpet and they sent me a proposal for $3230 which I accepted. The next day, they increased their proposal to $5000.00. To determine if they were overcharging me, I called another vendor and got a proposal that was in line with their original proposal of $3230. After doing our due diligence, in shopping thru various vendors we felt DCF was best suited for our project. Our initial consultation and sales manager David made us feel at ease. Got several estimates before deciding on Denver Carpet. Good choice. Was kept advised on project every step of the way. From ordering the product to receipt of product, delivery and installation of product. Installation crew was outstanding. They had obviously worked together before. Each was very knowledgeable and went about their business without a lot of fanfare. They handled movement of furniture with care, putting everything back in place upon completion. This was a difficult review for me to write. We saved our money and replaced the carpeting in our house with flooring. There were good reviews for Denver Carpet and Flooring online. I decided to let this company do my flooring. I stopped by their office to discuss the flooring with their salesperson. I found the selection very limited, and I did not feel like the salesperson was very helpful. I got the strong impression that the salesperson just wanted to sell flooring and would tell me what I wanted to hear. This should have been my first red flag. I picked out flooring and had Denver Carpet and Flooring complete the installation. It was a nightmare. I came home to gaps all over my house. It was a fight to get the project manager to fix the gaps and it cost me an additional $700. The project manager and installation team tried to blame my spouse (said he told them to do it) for the gaps but who would leave gaps in their flooring? What kind of logic is that and who would ask for that? You could tell that the installation team was just slapping down boards as fast as they could, without care. The project manager and installation team finished the flooring but even now, there are gaps on the staircase and major caulking on the floors. I have a new carpenter and paint crew cleaning up the mess left behind. I would not recommend Denver Carpet and Flooring. A picture is worth a thousand words. Please see pics. read more

We used this company in the past for the majority of the flooring in our house, but it wasn't until later on we realized just what a poor job they did. The flooring in our bedroom has bumps you can feel when walking on it, the piece that separates the flooring from the carpet crackles when it is stepped on, which wakes people up at night, the threshold of our bedroom door was placed incorrectly, so light shows under the door early in the morning and a couple doorways have no threshold at all. This is on top of the fact that they send out a guy to quote the job, then when the job starts, the foreman claims they need more money to level the floor and won't start until it is paid. In order to avoid this on our final job with them, we requested the foreman to come out and they added it in advance, but when the crew showed up they tried to up the price again, which we refused to pay. Finally, on every job we purchased a extra case of flooring, but when the installers went to leave, they tried to take it with them. Their flooring is crap compared to FH Flooring, which costs less, looks better, is installed correctly and has great customer service. Don't waste the time, or money on them. read more

Let me preface this by saying that Denver Carpet and Flooring did NOT do any work for me but my experience was such that I'll never call them for a "real" carpet job ever. After a flood I needed someone to tack back down my carpet and replace my padding, just under 200 square feet. After explaining this I was told that it was too small of a job for them and that if it wasn't at least $550.00 they weren't interested. I understand that, you have to allocate resources for a tiny job that doesn't add much to the bottom line. The part that frustrated me was the suggestion I just look on Craigslist and find myself a handyman to handle this. I called a company that claims to do carpet installation and repair and not just throw a dart at some stranger on Craigslist that may not even understand what carpet is. If I wanted a bad job done I would have just rented a carpet stretcher and done it myself but I called a C-A-R-P-E-T services company to handle my job professionally. My take away from this was "well you are totally worthless to anyone because we personally know every installer in the city and they won't take you so call a stranger and hope for the best. Bye Felicia". Maybe next time a job is just not worth it to you it may be more tactful and professional to simply say that the job is too small because of A, B & C (we only work in teams and don't have a guy who can do this, etc). You could try company X or Y, they might be able to help you, sorry we couldn't be of assistance. I am in the service business and if someone came to me with a job that just wasn't worth my time I would never say "oh you might try some stranger on Craigslist because I just don't care what happens with your project". Perhaps in her mind this is a helpful suggestion but really it's just saying you don't care and that I should simply go away because I'm wasting your precious time even asking. In June 2021, we had Denver Carpet and Flooring install some laminate flooring in our family room. It looks and feels great! Unfortunately, the area that gets the most traffic had a plank that cracked. I gave them a call and they had a technician come to examine the floor to determine what could be done to fix the problem. Since we only had 3 planks left over from the original installation and the tech felt like the repair would require more product, they had to locate, order and receive more from another source. Unfortunately, this style has been discontinued, the manufacturer is out of stock. I don't know where they got more, but it arrived in less than 2 weeks and was installed 2 business days later. I was expecting a big bill, but all this was done at Denver Carpet's expense, under warranty. This is the kind of Customer Service I have tried to provide my customers and I'm glad to find someone who follows the same philosophy. We had COREtec Flooring installed and carpeting installed. The COREtec does look and feel wonderful but the installers had me drive all the way over and wait one (HOT!) day and never showed up. They also made a small dent in the wall on the day of installation and never mentioned it to me. Luckily my painter was there when I did my walk through and was he was able to repair it. In the end they worked very hard and it looks great but one star off for the small hiccups. The carpeting on the other hand blew me away. It just looks soooo beautiful and I cannot believe I am saying that about carpeting. They did a great job from start to finish. I am happy happy happy every day my feet touch it. We have mixed feelings about this business. The positive- they were attentive, competitively priced, got back to us quickly and the Tuff Core product they installed is good looking. The negative is that while our floors may look good at first glance, there are a lot of little "rigs" the installers used that look terrible. They used a random piece of plywood to patch a closet runner (and drilled it into the floor so even if we had wanted to create our own solution, we couldn't), the holes they left in the sides of the stairwell (from where the old floors and new didn't match up) were poorly patched and the boards on many of the stairs bowed. Unfortunately it just doesn't look like quality professional work in the end. We addressed the bowing steps with the company and, while they got back to us quickly, we received a lack luster response and were told that it could have been our fault and we could call them again in a month if it got worse (it had already been two and a half months at that point). While these guys were all very courteous and kind, we will likely be going with another company for the rest of our flooring in the future in the hopes of getting a more finished, professional look after the install. Update- 5/20, company called and said they ordered material to fix the stair bowing and they will be scheduling that next week. Hopefully that will help the overall look. While scheduling did not go off as we would have liked, the owner of this business put a lot of effort into correcting & making our project move forth as promised. My suggestion would be to get scheduling confirmed via text or em. The owner was quite upset over my first review. He called my husband (phone was on speaker) and wasn't ready to listen and wasn't all that kind. He obviously took a breath & was pleasant enough when I spoke to him, via phone, later in the day. The owner obviously cares about his business and good reviews are particularly important to him. He followed up with us both days the installers were at our home. Francesco is our main installer. He is incredibly hard working and accommodating. His team appears to have respect for him and follow his instructions well. We had a two-stage tear up/install which, I assume, is a bit out of the ordinary. The installation team cleaned up thoroughly & took steps to protect our new carpet. They are obviously craftsmen.
