Bright and airy space, lighted floor was cool and plants growing on the wall. Service was very good, prices are mile high as one would expect in this type of situation. The pours on the wine were very small. We only tried the Korean pork belly and it needed a little more flavor and to be crispier. We saw some Korean fried chicken go by as well as the truffle fries and both look fantastic. If we were ever back here we would order those for sure. Recommended for a splurge, and nice views of the Brisbane skyline from across the river. read more

Our cousin who hosted us in Brisbane brought us here to have high tea and it was absolutely stunning inside. Decor was gorgeous and the coffee was yummy, pastries were delish and sandwiches were tasty. Definitely enjoyed it! Staff was friendly ;) the only con was that it wasn't as formal as we'd thought. Wow what can I say, I was absolutely blown away by this impressive hotel. The rooftop bar is to die for. Uninterrupted views of Brisbane city right on the river! Serving a great selection of food so you don't have to do the whole restaurant thing. I mean who doesn't love a few cocktails and oysters. The steak I had on the roof was amazing, so much care on all of the drinks we ordered. You must Try the cocktails, they're all amazing flavours, I would say I loved the lychee one. The staff are super helpful and go over and above from when you arrive till when you leave. An incredible evening all round! read more

This has been my go-to hotel in Brisbane business trips since it opened. The rooms are quiet and luxurious. The area is super close to everything, but feels safe when travelling on my own. If you've never tried it, I highly recommend having a night in a deluxe hotel in your own city--splash some cash and act like you're on holiday. Recently, my partner and I did just this at the Emporium Hotel. Ooh la la, what a treat. Choosing the King Suite, we spent 24 hours sprawled out on the King Size bed in fluffy bathrobes, eating from the bar fridge, ordering room service, watching TV, leaving only to swim in the rooftop pool, have a drink at the downstairs cocktail lounge and eat sushi from a nearby Japanese restaurant. Whilst The Emporium meets 5-star standards, the style may not meet everyone's tastes. It's extremely modern in its decor and perhaps a little garishly so. With not too many other places like it in Brisbane, The Emporium has gone out of its way to brand itself with a style that screams wealth. However, for a one-off, luxury experience, I highly recommend it. If staying there is out of your budget, be sure to at least go for a drink in the cocktail bar. They often have a live pianist there playing some jazz and the atmosphere is very romantic. You will feel très sophisticated! read more

Went here again and tried an Emporium Suite (the second most expensive suit) instead of a Queen Suite like last time and might I say it's quite the upgrade! Large balcony with lounges and a table, large spa bath and a huge bathroom with plenty of towels! Walk in wardrobe, lots of draws all in the room aka storage space, great selection of snacks from the mini bar -i enjoyed the truffle cookies and so ;) Comfy bathrobe and beautiful bed with soft sheets. Perfect and clean just like last time. Great view over the emporium. The food's great. I had the vegetarian lasagne and chocolate donuts with ice-cream. You get use of a complimentary iPad when you stay with a 1GB free per day. Great service with polite and friendly staff. The also brought complimentary chocolates and water to my room! I've stayed at the hotel and frequented the bar. The hotel is nice, but a tad overpriced. This review is for the bar. I've been to many excellent bars around the world and the folks at Emporium are about as good as it gets. Last night, I enjoyed a Hot Toddy, Chili-Chocolate Tequila, Espresso Martini, and many other great drinks leading to a morning of regret and self-loathing. I'm working through that, however. Possibly by going back for that delicious tequila drink. The nibbles are good too. It's right on target bar food. read more

I stayed here back in October 2013. The hotel was nice and clean! The service was good and if we ever needed anything they were there to help us! Not too crowded. The surrounding area is nice. You can walk across the parking lot and have dinner. I didn't visit the bar, but had room service was good, but a little pricey. This has probably been the cleanest hotel/room I've ever been in. But one weird thing was instead of queen beds in the room, they were twin. I don't know if that is how it is in Australia, but it's different in America. That was one thing my dad didn't like but it was manageable. read more

Popped in for pre-dinner drinks a number of times... Nice cocktails in a very pleasant environment.. Divine! (no matter how you spell it!! hahaha!) Cocktails are consistently better than any other cocktail bar in Fortitude Valley and prices comparable; and we have been well looked after by the staff there on the 3 or 4 occasions we have visited... (and were even welcomed "back" by the doorman last Friday).. Oh, and we have found the live entertainment consistently good here.. Just as well because this has almost become our "local"... So another September rolls around and it's my birthday again. I really wanted to celebrate like how I always do in NYC except this time it's only my partner and I lol. So as with everything I do, I'm looking for accommodations and nice places to hit up for the day for dinner, drinks, whatever I fancy and I came across Emporium. It looked to be just the hotel I'd love to stay in and feel like a princess for a day but alas it was the same week as the brisbane festival and everyone and their mother seemed to be in the city at the same time so rates were hiked up! Well I'm sorry but I only pay rates of $350 and up in New York, not in Brisbane thank you very much so I ended up booking a room at Adina Hotel but that's another review. Anyway, we made it to the city and get all dolled up and ready to roll out so we catch a cab to Emporium cocktail bar. First impressions; hmmm looks very classy. Splashes of red, black and white. I liked the looks of it. So far so good. Inside there was a pianist, how apropos :) It wasn't a huge space, but it felt just right. I think the fact that it wasn't too crowded made it feel like a nice spacious yet intimate spot. The bar looked amazing. Loved the chandelier right above, making the whole ambiance very spot on. We ordered a bunch of cocktails (priced rather high but it wasn't outrageous) and wow, quite lovely. I loved the passion fruit chici and the pavlova martini was good but not as good as the chichi. We also had the tapas menu. I remembered the curry and the other one I couldn't quite remember but wow I was pretty impressed. We didn't stay long but long enough to have 4 cocktails and tapas but my overall experience was really good. I would've liked some upbeat music maybe and more of a crowd but it was nice to have the place to ourselves. There were only about 4 other people for the hour we were there. But I would def have a birthday gathering there in the future or stop by for more amazing drinks. read more

Sampled the Emporium Hotel Bar after a nearby dinner. The place reminded me a bit of a Dubai hotel bar... A little bit classy, a lot OTT. Love the baby grand and decor but not sure about the lights ceiling changing colour. Overall its welcoming and a nice place to have a relaxed after dinner drink but don't forget to bring your wallet. I'm no expert but one of my party is convinced that the Emporium Hotel 'Australian Mary' that we were served is possibly the best Bloody Mary in the world! This is a nice, clean, well located hotel. However it is not as luxurious as either it, or some reviewers, make out. It felt a bit like glorified serviced apartments. Now, don't get me wrong - I loved the mini kitchen and washing machine/dryer, but I had thought I was staying at a boutique hotel that would impress. Best thing was the shower head and how quiet the room was, considering the location. Next best thing is the location - making a dash for breakfast pastries, chemist supplies, or lunch and dinner very easy. The bed was also really comfortable - but the mattress topper made it very hot, very quickly. Service was friendly and professional. We did not visit the rooftop terrace or the bar unfortunately. I think for them to really consider themselves 5 stars they need to update their furniture. Ours looked cheap and it was quite chipped. For me it was nice - but overpriced for what we got. read more

I travel a lot for business and even though it is a convenient location it is noisy, or maybe it was just my room location.

The Emporium is gorgeous and very trendy with super quiet accommodation and a divine bed. We stayed in a king spa suite on the top floor. The staff were very helpful but I did find it a little on the pricey side compared to boutique hotels in other Australian cities - Diamant in Sydney for example. read more

Having recently gone there for a hens night, Emporium was very accommodating with great services and the atmosphere is just amazing.
