My husband has been seeing Dr. Evan since last summer and Empower Chiropractor has exceeded our expectations! Since my husband has extreme fatigue and what we later learned is a condition called POTS that affects his heart rate, and has a host of other symptoms that can make him have vertigo issues, anxiety, and just neck stiffness. We only go to doctors that can really help because just the effort of getting ready and him being transported to an appointment can wipe him out. So we were also pleased to know that they don't do the traditional manual ("neck cracking") methods. The technical name escapes me, but they use a small instrument that helps with adjustments and it's just as effective while being way more gentle. Even before we had a diagnosis of POTS, Dr. Evan and the entire EC team have been so supportive. They're attentive, patient, kind, and knowledgeable. And we realized based on the assessments in the initial consultation that his spine wasn't aligned at all, which further explained some of his discomforts. In the last 9 months or so since he started at EC, the adjustments have helped with his vertigo symptoms, and he has fewer issues with anxiety (which I learned from EC that both can be linked to neck misalignment). Also, before Evan officially started the Wellness program, he gave my husband an extensive questionnaire and based on his answers created a meal framework that's helped him gain more energy and improve his malnutrition, despite his condition. I could go on but everyone from the front desk staff and both Chiropractors have been so helpful in many ways. We will continue seeing him as long as needed because it's helpful. The new patient special said complimentary consultation, but they require X-rays and then charge a fee since X-rays are required. In the second visit they had a "plan" which you had to pay upfront or on a monthly basis. Clean facility but the business practice of saying the first visit is complimentary but X-rays are mandatory and a fee is associated was a bait and switch and I decided to not proceed. read more

I had high hopes for this chiropractor, but was not really satisfied with the delivery. We were approached at the Arlington County Fair by this business and decided to hear them out. Having seen the benefits of chiropractics before, we decided to sign up for their opening special, which was a discounted consultation and assessment for your first visit during their grand opening. The first doctor we met with was pleasant, but a bit rushed. We weren't entirely unhappy with the first visit, but we did not receive a full consultation. When you arrive for your assessment, you should receive a scan of your spine and a scan of your muscle alignment in order to determine the trouble areas of your spine. Due to technology malfunction in the room we were in, my husband and I only received a scan of our spine. The assistant asked if she should move us to another room for the muscle scan and was told that they would take care of it another time. We never got the muscle scan, even after our follow up appointment. This was dissapointing because we paid for the entire consultation and didn't receive the entire process. When we arrived for our second appointment with Empowerment Chiropractic, we were met with a group presentation on the benefits of chiropractics. Mind you, there were already sheets given out for both appointments for this information and the doctors already tell you the benefits during your first visit. I felt like I was sitting through a sales pitch seminar that I did not sign up for. After driving close to 40 minutes to get to my appointment, I didn't appreciate an extra waste of my time. I obviously see the benefits in chiropractics, hence the reason for being in the office. When presented with our treatment plan, we could only pick from yearly or monthly plans. I personally do not appreciate having to commit to something so long term without ever having one adjustment at the place, and having to participate in a technique I am not familiar with. I was definitely was willing to try it, and asked if I could do a single adjustment for my appointment. I was reluctantly offered an adjustment that I could pay for at cash price when I made a big enough fuss about wanting an adjustment after waiting two weeks in between appointments and driving 40 minutes in traffic not wanting to leave empty handed. Many of my questions were answered defensively and with a bit of frustration. For a business that tries to sell value so hard, it seemed like my questions would have been the perfect opportunity to do just that. I was told that they could address all of the issues that my body told them I was having at my apointment, but once the adjustment began, they said they could only adjust 3 bones at a time to not overload the nerves. This seemed very contradictory to what I was told minutes before, and I have had no issues in the past with a chiropractor doing a full body adjustment. The part of my spine that was adjusted feels good right now, but I wish the doctor had been more forthcoming with what he was actually going to be able to do. Overall, this facility is clean, the front desk staff is professional, and the first doctor we saw was very kind. The second doctor we saw seemed aggitated and very focused on sales and less on what I was trying to communicate I needed out of a chiropractor, especially someone I would be paying a large monthly fee to see and travel quite a ways to see. I'm not sure if this encounter is something to expect regularly, as there are other kind reviews here, but I personally did not leave feeling very assured about my personal care plan. That's not to say their plan wouldn't be affective, just that I didn't feel like my personal questions were treated fairly or even answered. read more

The staff is very friendly, no waiting time. You manage your appointments through an App SKED which allows you the schedule/change your appointments through your phone. The hours are very convenient depending on the day, today I changed it from 4:30p to 6:00pm without a problem. The office is brand new, modern and with a nice vibe. They have cookies, gluten free muffins for everybody. It's very tempting! Dr. Evans and Dr. Callan husband and wife are a young sweet couple, they use the latest technology (non invasive) to find out the problem with your spine/nerves /muscles. On our first visit Dr. Evans taught us about the relationship between the nerves and disease. They made a personalized treatment plan for my husband and I. The following appointments only take less than 10 minutes. It's been only a week and we have see some improvement. read more

I was pretty disappointed with my experience. The office is clean the staff is friendly, they have an automated check-in which feels like a gym. Upon my 1st visit for prenatal care- I was given an assessment and a minor adjustment. I put this on my insurance and paid the copay. Then was asked to come in again 2 days later with my spouse. I couldn't make it two days later and scheduled this for Monday. For my 2nd visit I expected an adjustment but was provided with a treatment plan for the full term of my prenatal 2 times a week for 18 more weeks, post natal care 25+ weeks which spanned al,most a year. I then had to either : 1- pay for the full treatment plan (with insurance coverage) upfront 2- pay by the month (with insurance coverage) upfront I never received an adjustment because I felt that paying $2K upfront without any real exposure to the treatment was acceptable. It was my first time at a chiropractor and I have never been asked to sign up for a plan before the treatment is administered. This goes for pregnancy as well, a dr doesn't ask for child/labor/delivery payment upfront, instead the dr bills after baby is delivered. I immediately let them know this was not acceptable to me, and I would prefer to pay by the visit. However, that is not an option at Empower Chiropractor. I don't recommend this place unless you are willing to pay upfront for medical treatment. read more

I made an appointment for what I thought was an assessment and adjustment. After 2 appointments and $50 I left without ever getting an adjustment! I was given a year long plan that I could pay all at once or monthly? All I wanted was an adjustment, not a lifelong plan. When "the plan" was all they offered me on my 2nd visit it was a real wtf moment. What a rip off! Empower is part of a network of clinics that belong to amped. Amped promotes marketing and volume. Looking at their website reminded me of an MLM atmosphere, pumping their members up to make a lot of money by marketing and volume. All in all it left me feeling like Empower and other Amped members are a lot of hocus pocus delivering as little as possible for the greatest amount possible. I was never offered an adjustment even though I made it clear to one of the doctors on my first visit what I was there for. I had a different doctor attempting to sell me their bill of goods on my 2nd visit but again was never offered the adjustment for which I originally made an appointment. I wouldn't recommend this establishment to anyone. read more

When I walked in I was immediately greeted by all friendly front desk as well as doctors assistants. Dealing with extreme social anxiety, first impressions are everything and can set the mood for the rest of the appointment. There have been moments where I have handed them my paperwork and ended up walking out. So when I say environment is everything to me, it truly is. The facility was very clean . They started by giving me a full tour which I greatly appreciated as well as made my family feel very comfortable. Everyone there was so friendly and respectful. One hell of a staff. They showed me very well presented ways of treatment as well as the beautiful little cutie pies they have been working with and treating. After getting completely painless x-rays I was then given a copy of my results as well as listened to the doctors assistant explain them. First, a little bit about myself. I am an active 50s woman and have been in chiropractic care half of my life. I have degenerative disc disease, slight herniations and stenosis. Needless to say, I often get some sciatic flare ups. A few months ago I decided to give Empower a try moving away from the tradional snap, crack, pop method. At first, I was a little apprehensive, but after a few weeks of adjustments, began to feel noticeably improved. Not only with my spinal function but also, much more relaxed, focus improved and my sleep improved. If you are considering caring for yourself, as you should, this is the place for you. They use a new process called the torque release and it is absolutely miraculous. This young energetic office is clean, great front office staff, appointment process is easy, no wait times (which is so important), and the docs deliver on their process to wellness. Love this place! A very friendly atmosphere every time you step into the office. The concept of the way they adjust you compared to other doctors is so easy.
