You will feel like you aren't learning anything they had us wait for a clinical site for three months for a placement, during the waiting period we just sat in a room for 12 hrs without even practicing on the dummies they had us practice injections on HOT DOG LINKS. They don't answer the phone in a timely manner could take about a week or two weeks to hear back from someone. The lack of communication and organization is horrible. I finished the LVN and passed because of my dedication to study the material and utilizing ati and watching YouTube videos not because of the instructors or lecture. I finished the program in AUGUST of 2024 they didn't give us a ceremony until APRIL of 2025 wasn't even considered class of 2024 but 2025 makes no sense. The Ceremony was unorganized they had us do a practice run through for the ceremony, while family and friends were already seated which was embarrassing people were clapping thinking the ceremony had began just to have us walk out and come back in. There was also misspelling of names on the school ceremony pamphlet couldn't even get that right. Majority of the time we could barely understand the instructors because of their accents they always had last minute changes during the program. So if you're considering this school just make sure you've done all your research.

I felt ready for clinical sites thanks to him and a lot of self learning and reading on my own.

Life got in the way a couple of times during this portion of the class and I was able to talk to Mika and figure out a plan so that I wouldn't have to miss class. I also loved listening to her real life stories of working in nursing. The course I took was 5 weeks, 8 hours a day. The first two weeks were online. There is a lot of reading, a lot of quizzes, and several tests, but you get the hang of it quickly. The second week was practical where you learned the skills. I got pretty frustrated when I didn't get the skill right the first time, but the fact is that there are a lot of steps to the skills and these are brand new things that I'm learning. It all falls into place when you go into the clinical. You get to apply what you learned in class and in your practical learning. I especially loved my clinical rotations at the hospital. It gave me such a bigger perspective on the healthcare industry and patient care. I learned so much and discovered that I really liked working in ER. I look forward to applying everything I learned in my future career.

The school schedule is from 9:30am to 4:30pm.I live in San Pedro which is about a 30 minute drive for me,so the scheduel worked out best for me to be able to comfortably be able to take care of my responsibilities as a mom and be able to further my career to be a better sole provider for my son and I. I believe that the instructors, staff, and administrators are very good, and that they care about the students. This is the type of school that is worth tax payer dollars, if we are going to pay for anything, it should be helping those who are underserved, and underrepresented, continue and complete their education, and get stable careers. This is the type of school that changes lives for the better, and builds better communities, helps families be more stable, and is ultimately a help to the world. I just wish they had more art and design based tech classes, graphic design, auto-cad, architecture courses etc, I would definitely take those courses, but that's a very small gripe.
