He referred me to Dr. Dave, who took X-rays and conducted an initial examination. Dr. Dave has been treating me for around two months using a special Impulse adjustment tool that zeros in on the vertebrae and muscles that need attention. I particularly like this form of adjustment, since it is gentle and does not involve high-force manipulation--the "rack and crack" approach that some chiropractors use. I have noticed an improvement in my range of motion, and look forward to deepening these results with additional treatments. He did a few diagnostics and assessments to determine what was going on with me and then I got on his table for the adjustments. One of the main things I like about him is that he doesn't do that crazy twist your neck kind of adjusting (scary!!). He uses this high tech hand held adjusting devise that measures how much movement is needed and changes the force applied accordingly. Its pretty cool! I have had lots of chiropractic in my day and this was by far the easiest to receive yet I felt so much better when I left his office. I went from a level 7 (out of 10) in pain to a 1 by the time I left his office and I was able to turn my head with out feeling like a knife was jabbing my neck. Jon David owns the studio, which features a variety of different practitioners with various specialties. Jon David is not just the owner, however, he is a genuine master of deep tissue body work. I have had many types of massage and bodywork throughout my life, and he clearly knows more about human anatomy than anyone I have ever worked with. During the entire session, Jon David explained what he was doing as he worked each muscle group and named them as he moved through my body. Between his strength and his knowledge, I felt like I had a new body by the time I left his studio. In the following several days, I literally had more range of motion in my neck and felt somehow more "in" my body than I had for a long time.
