I got up much earlier than normal (I work from 7pm to 3:30am) to get stuff ready and clear access to the projects. I texted at 8:45, no response. I called at 9 and he answered but said he was a little slow this morning. Said he would be here in an hour. He called back a few minutes later and asked if I had seen the weather. Now he says it's suppose to rain at noon. I reminded him, if he would have been here on time he would have been finished by then. Again I confirmed he would be here in an hour. Got a text a few minutes later saying his child had been in the hospital and he was too tired. Sent me a screen shot of texts about his child. Not something I want to see...personal. All he had to do was contact me before 8:30 and let me know he had a family emergency and wouldn't be able to make it. Instead he completely ignored me and wasted my time. He says he is a good worker with a lot of experience. However, in my book being on time, communicating with your client and making excuses after the fact is inexcusable.
