Let me tell you, as someone who has always loved horses, now in my 30's I wanted to do something I really love, and that's what brought me to this stable. The one thing that really stood out to me here, is when I talked to the children who frequented the barn, is they loved the independence it gave them. I was shocked to hear that from kids some younger than 8 years old! But once you start taking lessons, it made sense. This place really teaches you how to basically take care of your own horse. You are saddling up, hoof picking, brushes, and sometimes cleaning the horses. And you learn to ride in all kinds of techniques and horses. You get to learn some equine knowledge, therapy, and when something does happen to a horse, they explain why and what exactly is going on. I don't understand some of the previous comments. Horses. Are. Animals. Animals are unpredictable. You can wear any type of protective gear you want, but you at minimum have to wear boots and a helmet. My first lesson I fell off. Yeah it hurts. But you learn. I also broke one of my toes cause it was stepped on. Again, animals are unpredictable. There will never be a 100% safe animal. But the instructors know how to instruct and direct when these situations happen, and I have seen some WILD kids on these horses, who don't listen, and these horses didn't even react. When anyone does get hurt, those who work there do everything they can to make sure you are okay. Things I appreciated about the ones who work at the stables: Tiffany has a plethora of knowledge, and loves to share it. Sophia was my main instructor who I appreciated so much because she let me push my boundaries when she could tell I too afraid to push myself. Sarah-Faith substituted for my class and always took such care with the kids on their lessons. Regan always had something fun to share every time I visited, and Nathan would always assist when I had questions. All the crew here are amazing, and love horses. I am so sad to have to pause, but I have learned so much that makes me confident if i ever own my own horse, I will at least know the basic needs to tend to a horse. I hope to come visit soon, and be back after my wedding!

It could be better. Angela is a trained professional, but there is so few lesson horses. if you…read moreride in the riding club, there's more options for horses, but for just lessons, there's only 2 and there both ponies. otherwise u have to have ur own horse. when I came here, they held me back for so long and made me do trotting on the lead for around 6 months and i realized they held me back bc they don't let lesson kids jump so the highest I could go was canter- and they didn't want me to improve fast to get to canter bc then I would stop doing lessons with them so they held me back. also I outgrew this pony and felt so bad bc they always put older kids on that pony and he seems overworked and old. I lost lots of confidence here. It is a nice place to learn, but probably they could do better.

When I started riding over on "the hill" three years ago, I asked some friends (a trainer and…read moreanother equine professional) who I should take lessons from and they unanimously referred me to Angela. Angela is one of the most professional and knowledgeable trainers I have had the pleasure to work with- she has training in eventing, dressage, hunter/jumpers, pony club (A-rating), as well as a lifetime of skilled horsemanship. She has taken the time to really, truly understand how I learn, and I have never left a lesson feeling anything but positive and excited about where the trajectory of my skills as an equestrian are going. Angela is able to explain and break down the "whys" and "hows" of the exercises that she prepares for every lesson- being in her program means that you are learning how to ride, not just be a passenger on a horse. She has a method to her instruction (and can explain her reasoning for it!) and wants all of her riders to have a strong, safe foundation. I have been fortunate enough to lease two horses from her, including my current lease, and she knows her horses well enough to be able to see tiny gaps in my position and equitation during lessons that have led to significant improvements in my riding and confidence. Everyone that is in her program is positive and supportive regardless of their age, ability or experience level is, which is a rarity to find in the equestrian world, and her horses are happy horses who receive the best care. Riding with Angela has made me a better equestrian AND a better person, and I would absolutely recommend her!

There was a lot of parking and it was a quiet morning. The view was amazing, but the interior setup was interesting. The venue had a large round table that would sit 10 comfortably, but they had 11 people per table. It was hard to maneuver around the tables and guests without crossing in front of the guest speakers. At one point, we couldn't figure out where the extra sound of music was coming from during one of the presentations. I heard it coming from the kitchen. The bathroom had 3 stalls on one side and 4 plus a handicapped stall on the other side. They had a hands-free sensor for the toilets flushing mechanism, which I thought was amazing. They also used high quality paper towels and provided little plastic cups for mouthwash. The breakfast selections were awesome. There was this whipped yogurt that was thick and fluffy, almost like cream cheese. They had this tomato parmesan croissant that was aromatic and I wanted more (I had 3). The custard Danish was delicious too. Lunch selection was pretty good too. Their pasta dish was cold, but filling. Their chicken and salmon were cooked perfectly, wasnt dry. Their smoked gouda mac and cheese wasnt creamy, but wasnt fully dry either. I really enjoyed the barley that came with the salmon. The potatoes were my least favorite, I thought it was too dry and very salty. As far as the golf course, you need to be a resident to get a discount ($10k), and there is a monthly fee after the annual price of $50k. The course looked amazing, not too many people out during my visit, but it had the hills, the sand pits, a lot of green fields.
