Currently you do need reserve and pay in advance. They are located at the Redondo Marina. The price was very affordable at $27.50 per person for 2 hours. Perfect to explore around the marina-highlights include seeing the seals and the calm area near the breakwall where the water was so clear I saw many schools of fish. I found free street parking on the small streets off Catalina like on Carnelian. It's about a 6-8 min walk. Overall a wonderful experience and highly recommend Olympus! read more

We highly recommend Olympus SUP. Our experience was top rate starting with the detailed information provided by Jeremy over the phone. Having just retired and looking forward to an active retirement one of our first goals was to do SUP this summer. We've tried a couple times on our own and were not successful but a lesson was the way to go! Being downhill skiiers and knowing that a lesson should always be your first choice we should have known. We looked on Yelp and the reviews spoke for themselves. Gino was our instructor and was so patient and on top of everything. I took my first couple paddleboarding classes elsewhere, but never continued because it was too far from home. Little did I know this gem existed right here in the South Bay until a year ago! I've now attended almost 20 SUP yoga and power hour sessions, and it's become one of my favorite forms of exercise. Thanks to Michelle and the other teachers, I overcame my fear of paddling in the open ocean, and my balance has improved drastically. Olympus is awesome - I dare you to find a better deal for classes and rentals in southern California! Their shop is located in Torrance, but their classes and rentals all meet right in King Harbor. Such a great experience! I started out with SUP classes before transitioning to the SUP yoga. Jeremy was so nice and patient in teaching us the SUP basics. The SUP yoga classes are great. Perfect for beginners and those with more experience. So peaceful on the water. The sea lions add to the fantasticness. Only taken Michelle's classes so far, she is awesome. Heard great things about the other instructors. It's all done within the harbor so the water is calm, no choppiness at all. I was nervous about the waves since I don't have sea legs. So calm, water didn't get to me at all. One side thing that I love is that everyone with Olympus really cares for the environment. They fish litter out of the water and surrounding rocks as they go along. read more

Jeremy & Bryan were AWESOME!!! They deliver 5 star service! I initially signed up with another paddle board company for a lesson and didn't feel warm & fuzzy. So, I looked on Yelp and found Olympus. Jeremy was so kind and friendly the moment I called. He was very helpful and informative as this was our first time. My cousin was visiting from Oklahoma and I thought paddle boarding would be a awesome experience. Last minute I called to see if they had any availability. Jeremy was so kind to to accommodate us last minute and get us out on the water. He was apologetic that his regular instructors weren't available but offered one of his new guys in training. We were completely cool with this and just happy to be on the water. Jeremy not only accommodated us last minute but also offered us a discount since Bryan was still in training. What a awesome business!!! Jeremy was out of town in Hawaii and even text me (5am his time) to make sure Bryan called us to confirm our lesson that morning at 9am. Now that is over the top EXCEPTIONAL service!! Jeremy is beyond great. Even when he's thousand of miles away, he's making sure his clients are taken care of. Bryan was a great instructor. He walked us through everything and continually checked if we were comfortable taking the next step. He took tons of pictures of us and sent them that day! He has a great personality and was very easy going. He made sure to point out things that my cousin from Oklahoma would never know (i.e.:the Body Glove boat,Garibaldi fish, etc.) Bryan also spent additional time with us so we could go out on the open ocean. How great is that??? Bryan was knowledgable of the wildlife and we both learned a lot and had TONS of fun. I can also thank him for loaning me his sunscreen as I couldn't believe I forgot mine at home. I'll definitely be back and would definitely recommend Olympus....no doubt! Me and a buddy wanted to go standup paddling and I emailed Jeremy @ 9pm friday night for a 8:30am paddle, he responded and educated me on everything I needed. Then we showed up, were well taken care of by Jeremy and his team. We had a great paddle session and even saw a humpback whale. Once we arrived back they helped us out of the water and allowed us to hangout in the water, swim and sit around like locals for an hour sipping cold beverages in the harbor....floating beverage garden......There are not many people like jeremy and his crew out there who genuinely want to provide you with a great experience like they did. I've been lazy lately writing reviews but these guys deserve the extra few minutes of my time needed to write a good review. I called and talked to Jeremy who was super helpful and friendly. Without advanced notice I called and gave him a time and number of peeps in the group, he set us up with Jino (I think that was his name) who was running the show at the docks down by the Portofino. He was really friendly too. Since I'm super frugal I parked on Catalina and walked to the end of Portofino where they're located. Jino gave us the rundown of paddleboard basics and we were off in no time...they don't have lockers for your valuables but they will let you keep it in their shed...if you're super paranoid about your stuff I'd suggest you get a waterproof bag to keep with you on the paddleboard. They have beer, soda, and snacks there. The dock gets super hot on hot days so bring sandals! $25 for 2 hours, I think that's a great deal and I'll probably be back here again. read more

Great place to rent a SUP board! Right on the water in King Harbor. One time, I parked at the regular pay lot by Ruby's for $4... not too bad! Another time, I parked at the Portofino Hotel lot right there, and got FREE validation after eating a great lunch at Portofino's restaurant Baleen... even better!! Fun, easy and stable boards, and the best prices that I could find in the harbor. And the workers are so nice, they put the board in the water for you, make sure you'll be safe, and even give first timers some paddle tips. The harbor is so calm and glassy, perfect for beginners. If you're a little brave, going outside the harbor is fun. We saw dolphins and sea lions, some of the regular paddlers sometimes see whales! I have also taken a few of their SUP Yoga classes. I'm not an accomplished yogi, but this is a great way to relax, stretch, and just enjoy the beautiful surroundings. I think I'm hooked on a morning paddle then lunch at Baleen or Polly's!
