BUT, this is not the case at the Dawsonville store. This place is cleaner and better organized than many of the department stores in our area. We have found so many great items in this store from furniture to clothing to shoes and other stuff and the prices cannot be beat. Most the items are in excellent condition and look barely used. If there was one downside, as others have posted all clothing is sorted by color but not by size. For me this makes finding anything in the clothing aisles next to impossible as I am not the type that will stand and go through countless items searching for size tags. But, for others that this is not a concern you can definitely find many great items and deals. This is by far the BEST Goodwill we have visited hands down.

After spending hours digging through five or six thrift stores in Hixson and coming up mostly empty handed, I was delighted find a small rack packed with exactly what I needed - men's long sleeved dress shirts in a variety of colors. As I started making a pile of them for a school play, the lady brought me a buggy. The sweet cashier even gave me a discount for buying 18 of them. Pop's and Granny's Saved the Day and the Play! I wish my photo of the store didn't turn out so blurry. I may drive back over there after the play to show the folks how they helped all the kids look good. :D

My family and I stopped in, as we try to every year. Upon walking through the door there was a…read moregentleman behind the counter and a guy sitting at the door. Right through the door was a bunch of random old magazines and a few books that I sorta dug from under a shelf. I ask the guy how much for the books/magazines and he replies those magazines are 25 cents some 50 cents and books are 2$ That he has more on the shelf. I pick up 5 randoms and start towards the back of store. The guy behind counter tells me to leave my stack on the counter as I look. He proceeds to start scanning the books with his phone to check for anything he saw with value. He then says "Ma'am this one will be 5$ its selling online for 20$." I saw other Books on the shelf ranging 1$ to 1.5$. I decline the book and leave. Last year upon visiting this thrift, a similar thing occurred. Other than that, it was your typical thrift store.

The stores proceeds go to a good cause of helping foster animals. There was a selection of a little bit of everything however some of the stuff was overpriced. boots are normally 6.00 unless marked but they had a new pair of boots priced at $75.00. The store was small but it was packed to the brim so it was hard to move around and look at everything.
