The storefront, a grand Georgian (?) façade painted a hippy-ish purple has a Selfridge-style impact suitably scaled-down to this small stretch of largely quite wonderful and unique establishments facing onto the common. Its windows too show flair and are frequently updated, It's a gift shop full of intriguing trinkets. The stock is imaginatively resourced and displayed: cards, jewellery, small home gifts, and local interest things it seems to aim to cater for all ages (the trendier spectrum of all ages, that is). I find it really impossible to emerge without succumbing to temptation.

This little gift shop reminds me of a school craft fair stall. There are some lovely cards,…read morepostcards and wrapping paper and it's in a good spot just to fly into if you're in the area and need a decent Birthday card. I especially like the vintage ones and most are under £2. The rest though is all a bit random and cheap looking. They do have a contemporary jewelry section, but nothing special unfortunately. Shops like these have the strangest selection and at the moment they have a huge container of rubber ducks on the counter. It's obviously trying to attract tourists on their way back from the British Museum, but for cheap cards it's a find.

As well as being morally and ethically favourable to many shops selling products imported form India, everything sold here is authentic and correctly but still reasonably priced. The people that work here have an obvious and great love and appreciation for India, which really shows through in a unique way. Weddings: I have seen Lisa's be-autiful work many times, so there was never any question that she'd be in charge of my wedding flowers. She is a pleasure to work with, and this is why: - She is more organised than I could ever be...so she helped guide me and gave awesome suggestions (with the help of pinterest) - I had a vague idea of what I thought'd look pretty, but she took my ideas and improved them until my wedding venue looked amaaazing. Her flowers made the dusty old barn (wedding venue) look fresh, and smell lovely. - My bouquet (and my bridesmaid bouquets) were sooo gorgeous! - She even made a flower chandelier(!) - She loves vintage pots and glasses so her flower arrangements don't look formal or boring. I loved that! - She gets the most beautiful flowers! Seriously my light blue delphiniums and peachy pink roses were perfect. Also, she managed all this why also being a bridesmaid. This lady is a multitasking queen! Flower workshops: Recently Miss Victoria's Floral Emporium has moved to a new studio in East Dulwich, and I was lucky enough to attend one of her first floral crown making workshops. It was such a giggle! I got to make friends with a lovely group of ladies over tea and cake, and then Lisa showed us all how to make beautiful headdresses. Our workshop yesterday was a special (free) trial, but I think this would be SUCH a cool thing to do on a hen party, or a birthday...or just for fun if you have creative, flower-loving friends.
