We are so glad we chose En Ville to cater our wedding. Daniel was absolutely excellent- he met with us many times in the months leading up to the wedding to make sure that we were happy with the menu, and with all the details (he took care of all our rentals, required staff, layout, setup and even helped us iron our some of the details for our ceremony). We had a fabulous food tasting and met with him a few times at the site of our wedding to go through the set-up details. Daniel actually listened to what we wanted and made suggestions accordingly. Our menu exactly what we wanted: playful and fun (we had a bbq theme with highlights including shrimp wrapped in steak, chicken drumstick lollipops, grilled pineapple, beer can chicken, a burger bar, and a sundae bar with marshmallow quesadilla for dessert). The bartender and all the waitstaff were excellent: our guests felt well taken care of and we were able to enjoy having everyone together. We had Daniel help us out with basically every detail of our wedding: from the set up and sound for the ceremony, to the cocktail hour, to dinner and dessert (we didn't have a wedding cake! (which is what we wanted!!)). We couldn't be happier with how it all turned out. Daniel was professional and offered great advice. As part of my job I help plan our company holiday party. We had the pleasure of working with enVille this year and they were wonderful, from helping us plan the menu and the decorations to catering and staffing the event. Kaori is totally professional and on the ball -- I look forward to working with her again. She was always available for consultation, right from our first communication to the night of the booking, where she was present and ensuring everything ran smoothly. en Ville was the only catering company of the numerous companies we contacted that simultaneously respected our budget and was willing to take on our logistically challenging venue- the Algonquin Island Association Clubhouse. Our catering manager was Melissa. Melissa took on the challenge of getting equipment and rentals across the lake to Toronto Island without hesitation. Everything was delivered on time and set up was seamless. Melissa was always accessible and her oversight meant that we did not have to worry about this hugely important component of our wedding on the day itself. We met the company's founder Geoffrey for the first time at our tasting, which was a great pleasure and assured us of the depth of talent and experience that the company consistently brings to the table (and the kitchen!). The explanation behind the company name was fascinating! The catering staff executed the event perfectly. Just like other couples, our wedding day was hectic. Our on-site head waiter's name was Clint and when he and the other catering staff arrived in the early afternoon ahead of schedule, we knew that we we were in good hands. With Clint's impeccable arrangements of glassware, favours, serviettes (and re-organization of the buffet line we had setup in advance), the room looked so elegant- something we heard repeatedly from guests that evening. The initiative that Clint and his staff took surpassed our expectations and we heard consistently positive comments from our guests about the food. Overall, we feel very fortunate to have selected en Ville from the many options available. We would recommend them to anyone! read more

I had the pleasure of working with Kaori and her team at a client's wedding last weekend. En Ville was fabulous, professional and exceptional. The food was exquisite- served hot, moist and bursting of flavour! The service was impeccable as the staff was friendly, courteous and on time with each course. They were constantly checking in to ensure that we were more than satisfied and refilling our drinks/cocktails. I would hands down recommend En Ville to anyone looking to give their guests a wonderful dining experience at an event. We're still waiting on our wedding catering quote...3 months later. Our initial meeting went really well. However, we had to reach out several times to remind them to send us a quote. We ended up using another caterer. We're not sure what went wrong here, but due to this mishap, we wouldn't recommend them to friends. read more

These guys catered my mom's birthday this past weekend, and they did such a good job. The staff were all so friendly and they really made it such a fun and pleasant experience for us. I loved how sociable and upbeat they were. The food was great too! My favourite was the pulled chicken sliders...absolutely delicious! En Ville catered our wedding this past September. While the food was good - everything else was awful and nearly disastrous. Our contact Anila was incredibly disorganized, full of weird, almost comical excuses that had absolutely nothing to do with us, and forgetful to the point of neglect. The staff she supplied were horribly rude and tremendously unhelpful. When we entered the cocktail lounge immediately after being married, they actually gave us a hard time about our ceremony being too short and everyone was forced to stand around for over a half an hour waiting for them to finish setting up. They argued with us over every little detail, were unwilling to correct blatant mistakes they were making and left us with a huge mess to clean up ourselves at the end of the night. Instead of ownership for errors, blame was cast. They set up only three tables instead of the four on the floor plan we'd supplied them with and just stood around with their arms crossed arguing with us as we, the bride and groom in our wedding attire with guests waiting on us, were forced to set up tables, dishes and linens ourselves. They never once took initiative or ownership to right their wrongs or make us - their paying customers - happy instead they argued and cast blame. Later we found out that a staff member had knocked over the stack of name cards for the place settings on the kitchen floor, instead of helping he ignored the mess while bridesmaids picked up the cards up while he watched. The buffet-style set-up of the dinner had no one on staff willing to help out, dish out the food or monitor people's portions and as a result, people were unsure of how much food to take and we ended up running out of vegetarian alternatives far before everyone had a chance to serve themselves. We expressed our concern that this might happen and when were told not to worry- that there would be enough food to go around. A vegetarian bridesmaid had a plate of corn and bread rolls for dinner. When we went into the kitchen to ask Anila if there were any of the vegetarian options left, she blamed our guests for taking too large a serving. Then a by-standing staff member chimed in, "you should have had this meal plated not buffet." We were never informed that plating was an option or we would have chosen to do that. Worse than all that, was the situation with the bar. During the two or three initial consultations with Anila, we'd explained to her that we had hired bartenders we knew for the wedding, but she clearly forgot this fact and brought one along anyway. She refused to let him go, despite our clearly not needing him (and thus, also charged us for an extra body) so we tried to get the three of them working together. Within ten minutes of things getting going, I was able to witness this bartender being so rude to the friends we'd hired that we actually got very upset and felt it would just be easier on everyone if we simply let our bartenders go (after paying them) and let their bartender serve alcohol on his own. But even that was a stressful disaster. For reasons unknown, this bartender hid a ton of liquor from the guests, presumably forgot he'd done this and then told us we had run out of wine when we hadn't. My father had to run out in the middle of dinner to buy more, only to have us discover at the end of the night that we still had several more unopened cases. And, amazingly, that wasn't the worst of it. Just as we were wrapping up a frustrating and somewhat botched dinner and starting the dancing portion of the wedding, En Ville announced that they were all done for the night, (I'll repeat here that they left us with a huge mess and made it our responsibility to gather up and organize the many scattered rental supplies) and informed us that if we wanted to keep their bartender, we'd have to start paying him by the hour. They did not communicate that this was an inevitability when we'd decided to let the other bartenders go. By then, they had left for the night and my husband and the groomsmen had to serve the drinks themselves which was incredibly annoying. We still had a great wedding, but there was a ton of undue stress involved, a lot more work than an eight thousand dollar bill for a small (90 people) event should have warranted and I know a few of my guests left that wedding hungry and disappointed. As time has gone by and we've started talking about what my husband and I went through with En Ville, our guests have begun sharing their own horror stories about the rude staff and the tensions running throughout the wedding. Don't let the tasting deceive you - you will be devastated by the final result. read more
