Our son Levi (4) just graduated from Enchanted Castle Pasadena Montessori! He has been attending since he was two, and we love the school so much that he will be staying for summer camp. He has grown into such a kind-hearted, curious helper. He is always smiling and laughing when I pick him up.. I know he feels confident and loves to share and take care of others. The school really fosters a nurturing, calm environment, and he absolutely loves his classes, his friends, and the teachers. Ms. Cassie has been amazing - she really shows that she cares for each of her students and believes in all they're capable of. The kids did so much throughout the year, and it just amazes me. After my son's previous preschool burned down, I was overwhelmed trying to find a new place where I felt truly comfortable leaving him, somewhere he wouldn't just be one of many, and where I knew he'd get real attention and care. Then I met Ms. Cassandra, and everything changed. From the moment she gave me a tour, she was warm, welcoming, and incredibly supportive. I instantly felt at ease, and I knew right away that this was the school for us. The teachers here are amazing. The first ones I met, Ms. Samar, Ms. Emani, and Ms. Cassie, each took the time to help my son adjust, and I saw a difference almost immediately. His behavior has improved so much since starting here, and I know it's because every teacher truly cares. I also have to mention Ms. Jane and Ms. Lassandra, they are all so wonderful. Our daughter enrolled at Enchanted Castle just shy of 2 years old, after we moved cities and despite my worries of how she would adjust to the new environment, she thrived and stopped the drop-off crying after just a few days! The super nurturing energy from her teacher, Ms. Samar, is so obvious and reflects in how my kiddo has become so excited to see her friends at school... she even used to carry her security cat (a literal Halloween black cat) during the day and now, she says goodbye to it at home! Leadership at the school is excellent - Ms. Cassandra is truly hands-on and adds to the positive energy for students and parents! There are holiday events for parents year round and kiddos work on art projects daily. The staff is super attentive - you can easily communicate via the Brightwheel app, which shares daily photos, videos, and messages with staff. Any school is scary for parents when it's the first time and your kiddo is very young, but Enchanted Castle has truly put my mind and concerns at ease. (For reference, we do M-F part-time which is 9AM - 12PM. Our kiddo doesn't nap at school but they have little cots for those who do). read more

My daughter started at Enchanted Preschool in September. I can't believe how much she has grown and how much she have learned in one month. She was at a home daycare where she only spoke Mandarin, but has since picked up a lot of English. This has really increased her ability to communicate and express herself. We can tell how much she loves to go in the morning and how much fun she had during the day. We receive classroom videos and pictures throughout the day. I really enjoy watching them having all different kind of activities and interactions. we are so happy that we found this wonderful place for our daughter. My 3 year old daughter started this week after I toured dozens of pre-schools in the area. I feel like we've landed in a great place! The teachers are warm yet no-nonsense. The administration is communicative and professional. My daughter made friends on her first day no problem. Everyone so so friendly and welcoming. The other parents are even cool! Secure check-in, nice shaded play area, weekly bonus activities (languages, arts), easy app communication, and reasonable prices. We were searching for the right preschool for our 2-year-old and knew how big of a decision this was for my husband and me. From the very beginning, Cassandra (the administrator) took the time to give us a tour and really understand our situation and what we were looking for. That meant a lot. When the first day finally came, it was emotional but it just felt right. I wasn't worried about leaving my son because his teacher, Samar, along with the other teachers, showed so much empathy. They understood what we were going through and helped us through the tough transition of letting go, all while showing compassion and care. Now when we drop him off, we feel peace knowing he's in good hands. The environment is warm, the staff is genuine, and my son is actually excited to go, which says everything. We've had such a great experience at Pasadena Montessori. Our daughter is so happy here, and the teachers really care. Ms. Samar and Ms. Emani are wonderful and genuinely care about the kids' well-being. They are warm, patient, and really take the time to help each child grow. Ms. Cassandra, the school director, is incredible. Super responsive and helpful. She really goes out of her way to support families and make things run smoothly. One of our favorite things is that they upload photos and videos every day to the Brightwheel app. It's amazing being able to see what the kids are doing and feel connected to their day (especially when we're missing them at work). We were a little unsure at first about the school because it's a small, humble school, but it has exceeded our expectations. My son has been going to Enchanted Castle for just about a year now and he adores it! Even at 2, he's already made friends and is so excited to go every morning. We love that they also have extra activities for the kids (if they want to sign up) too, like piano and soccer. I am so grateful that my son is able to go to this wonderful private school this is hands on, they have patience with my son and it's a lot to learn. I am SO happy we stumbled upon this school. A few friends go to the Enchanted Castle in San Marino, but that was a little too far a drive for us. I didn't know they had a Pasadena branch too until I had dived deeper into my search. I immediately felt welcomed from the first phonecall I made to the Director, Mrs Cassandra, to organize a tour. She was delightful and real. She warmly welcomed me to tour her school that day, and gave me all the reassurance and confidence that her school could accommodate our son. The best part of it was, I didn't feel like she was pressuring me to enrol (unlike some other schools had). Mrs Cassandra is kind, genuine and knows what she is doing. My son has been at Enchanted for a month now and I can say this is the BEST choice we have ever made. The teachers, Ms Emani, Ms Veronica and Ms Lassandra feel like family to us. They love the kids and are passionate about their job. Our son is thriving and loves the school, teachers and activities. We especially like the Chinese, dance, art, music and Spanish classes which are all included in tuition. The playground area is safe, shaded and you would never guess there is a school here as it is tucked away at the back next to the church. They ensure my son is well fed all the time and I love the photos they send daily. This place is a real gem, and we highly recommend it. My daughter started Enchanted Castle right before the pandemic lockdowns in January 2020, she was only 2.5 years old and although the first week was hard for her (she had been home with a nanny the first 2.5 years of her life), she adjusted wonderfully and became so close to Ms. Samar. She returned after we were comfortable sending her back to school post-pandemic in April 2021, this time at almost 4 years old and in the big kids class. She is thriving. She surprises me everyday with how much she is learning, from her simple things like the alphabet, to counting to 100, art, dance, music. And her social life is so full and it is all because of the wonderful attention she gets from the school. She loves her teachers in Room 1, (Ms. Denise, Ms. Rachel!) and her friends, and it is with a heavy heart she will be starting kindergarten at a new school this fall. Having gone to Montessori school myself, I love the Montessori Method and how this school makes the effort to stick to the tried and true principles. The teachers are attentive to the needs of each child and you can really see that they care about the kids and have a passion for working with children. I had a chance to visit this wonderful preschool recently when I was spending the week with my niece who is currently enrolled. I've seen such a big change with her within a couple of months. She was very quiet and timid before and now she has tons of newfound energy and can't stop talking about everything she's learned at school and all her friends as well. Just puts a huge smile on my face thinking about it every time. I think the main thing is it feels like a community where the kids get the attention they need and it's not about how fancy the technology is or how new the toys are, though the teachers were telling me they just updated the playground and it's amazing, especially the cool tryke path. Enchanted Castle is the perfect balance of the right amount of creative stimulus and structured guidance to make for a perfect learning environment. I've recommended it to all my friends. read more

I started looking in Pasadena preschools back in 2018 when my daughter was around 2.5 years old. She outgrew the home daycare and I knew she was ready to learn more. This Montessori school is located on the corner of Del Mar Ave and Los Robles Ave and shares the same parking lot as the church. They have a couple locked gates for you to go through in order to get into the school. Having toured Enchanted Castle along with 3 other nearby preschools, I put our name down for Enchanted Castle's waitlist, and was later notified about 5-6 months later that she was next in line on the waitlist to start. My daughter started going to Enchanted Castle Pasadena in March 2019 and on her first day, although she was reluctant to part from me (every mom's nightmare), Miss Denise welcomed her with open arms and definitely eased her into her first preschool days. I could tell from my daughter that Miss Denise was her favorite teacher from the way she runs to hug her whenever she sees her. Even to this day, after a couple more different schools that she has been to, she remembers Miss Denise when we pass by the school. The other teachers were also very helpful and kind. I did really appreciate the graduation production, Mother's Day appreciation day, and all the crafts that they had the kids do. Their monthly tuition was very reasonable, about $850/month at the time we were enrolled. They don't provide lunch, however they do provide morning and afternoon snacks. read more

Enchanted Castle Pasadena has been so great for our two children. They both started in the younger class with Ms Samar, who provided a great foundation for them. When they moved up to the older classroom, Ms Rachel, Ms Tiara, and all of the other teachers provided a warm and encouraging atmosphere that allowed them to grow and become more independent. Most amazing of all, as we were exploring TKs for our oldest, one school performed an assessment and determined that he was ready to go straight to kindergarten! We have no doubt that this is in large part to the wonderful environment that he had at Enchanted Castle. It was bittersweet for him to move on, but our younger will be there for another year, and we're excited to see how she continues to learn and grow. Highly recommend! read more

My kids (almost 3 and 5) just started after Labor Day so it hasn't been long, but they absolutely love Enchanted Castle. After their second day, my son told me "I want to go to this school forever!" The teachers (I only know Mr. Savag, Miss Denise, Miss Kay so far), are all very pleasant, attentive and genuinely caring. Ms. Parima, the director, is a clear and efficient communicator. I've only seen what drop-off and pick-up times are like, but it seems under control -- kids are playing, reading, cleaning up, or snacking -- nothing crazy or chaotic there. Speaking of snacks, they just started a new program offering healthy balanced options, like grains, raw veggies, and fruits. I like the thought and effort involved, although honestly, I wonder how much food my kids are wasting! I really appreciate the rules they stress at Enchanted Castle (and my kids were able to recite them for me): use your listening ears, be a good friend, raise your hand when you want to say something, help others, be kind, take turns, no pushing, no laughing if someone falls, say thank you and please, and clean up after yourself. I need to adopt these at home too :) Discipline is in the form of the "thinking chair," where the teacher speaks to the children about what they did wrong. (all this information is from my 5-yr-old, fyi) In terms of learning: they've come home singing lots of new songs, they show us new dances & exercises, know the days of the week and months of the year, and my son's writing skills have already improved. Not too bad for three weeks of school! Enchanted Castle is a fantastic fit for my family -- the Montessori method might not be for every kid, but mine are thriving and loving their time there. read more

Scheduled a tour here. Arrived and it was nap time. The poor kids tried to sleep while a total stranger and a baby were right there. Staff did not make any effort to speak quietly. It was so uncomfortable, I asked to move outside. Also wanted to get away from the abused pet turtle that was in a tiny tank with no room to move. If they can treat an animal like that, I can't imagine sending my kid here. read more

I just love this school!! My son first started at a more expensive Montessori, but it wasn't a right fit. This Montessori, though small, is great because IT IS SMALLER and the teacher-child ratio is approximately 1:4! Every single teacher and director (Miss Suzanne) knows every single detail about my son's day---how much he ate, how he slept, what he learned! They have Spanish, music,computer and dance classes included with the monthly tuition. He's only been here a month and he's already learned so much! My son joined Enchanted Castle last September and has been enjoying the school ever since. The teachers are very kind, skilled and knowledgeable and he has already achieved so much. The school builds a very healthy environment, the rules are clearly stated and the kids seem to know what is expected from them as they are respectful to each other, very organized and focused on their tasks. My son started to go to Enchanted Castle Pasadena since last September. We are very happy with this place as of now. Teachers and staff are friendly. The place is a bit small but very comfortable and I think it's easier to manage. My son loves this place especially after he started to understand English. We speak Mandarin at home, so he had a longer time than other kids to pick up the language. I think teachers in Enchanted Castle are very patient and nice to bilingual kids like my son. The only suggestion to the school is to have at least one teacher that can Mandarin or other Asian languages. read more

My daughters (5yrs old and 3yrs old) have been attending Enchanted Castle for almost a year and I could not be happier now. My girls love their teachers and classmates, and they're thriving emotionally and academically. At first we had a rough start because the staff was a little careless (I witnessed group of kids bothering and picking on another kid while I was talking to the teacher), and after attending for a month we were informed that there will be a change in management and there was a shift in staff without a warning. I personally did not want to deal with any transition so looked for another school for my girls to attend in the Fall. However, in the first month that Ms. Parima had taken over as director (at the same time the school changed management), the energy of the school had changed a lot. I reluctantly pulled my girls so they could attend a different school but brought them back to restart last October because the other school was not a good fit. By the time my girls came back to Enchanted Castle, a lot of my reservations about the school had been address, some of the staff was no longer there and the staff that remained were a lot more responsive and present, and there was a genuine sense of friendship between the kids. Since October, I've seen my girls thrive and transform from being shy toddlers who did not want to follow instructions to very social little girls who can articulate what they like and don't like and love going to school for their dance classes and music classes. Academically, I've seen my girls really enjoying to learn new concepts and even apply math concepts to every day life! I am confident that since last October Ms. Parima and her team, Ms. Alicia, Ms. Norma, Ms. Denise, and Ms. Zamar, have transformed this little school and have prepared my eldest daughter to succeed in Kindergarten! I kind of wish that the school would expand to 5th grade so my girls could attend elementary school here. read more

A good place to take your kids, you can feel the good energy on the place. My daugther just went for first time to preschool like 1.5 month, the teachers in general are really nice and respecful with the paretns. Miss Samar has been so a helpful for my daugther to the transition. Mis Parima is always open to talk and understhing when it comes to a mother worried about her child. My son started here last month and he loves it! When he was at his old school he didn't want to go to school. Now he can't wait to get to school. I came to see the school last year but waited until my son was fully potty trained to switch him and it was the best decision. I love how intimate the school is. He seems to be doing a lot better at "my new Montessori school" (in his words). He is learning new things, more independent and overall he is enjoying learning and that's what I wanted. We are so happy with our decision to enroll our 2 1/2 year old at Enchanted Castle Montessori. After countless hours online researching and touring schools, in the end we found that Enchanted Castle Montessori was the right fit for our daughter. We were hesitant at first on how our daughter would react to starting a pre-school since she has never been to any daycare. But, the moment she stepped into the school she immediately felt comfortable. Every day she is excited to see her friends. She also loves her teacher, Ms. Samar, who is a very caring and effective teacher. The school also offer a great balance of academics and activities that keep kids engaged and happy. Each week they have different themes and activities that make it fun but educational for kids. Under the new ownership they are also continuing to make positive changes to the school such as offering healthier snacks and continuing to improve resources to ensure that the kids receive the best education. read more

Hi, It's been a nice and an enjoyable journey for my daughter who is in this school for the past 7 months. She has grown in terms of expressing herself more in terms of talking and reacting. They have limited kids in room #1 which actually helps to get personal focus. They do music & language classes which helps the kids developing their interest apart from studies. The school has got lot of good stuffs after the management change. Overall I like this school very much in terms of their teaching methodology that includes fun + education. We came from Switzerland with very high expectations. From the very beginning I had problems because there was such chaos. My son was 3 1/2 and I was constantly in hospitals. I specifically asked the teachers to keep me informed about his progress. A year later all the teachers were replaced, but if I was dis-leased, they would talk to me and give me a lot of assignments for him to do at work. With a new school administration I thought things would improve. The after school assignments improved but very little improvement in my son's academic tasks. By now he was 5 and he had classes with three year old kids. He showed me some of the objects they used and I was astonished since they were learning instruments you would be using for a 1 or 2 year old. I finally spoke to the current owner of the school, but it was too late for my son. He was entering kindergarten and was so behind in math and reading. The new owner told me to take him to a special school to catch up two months before he began classes. The school administrator/teacher and I had begun a quarrel in which she told me it was not her job to tell me my son did not do or complete his math assignments and I should have asked the other teAcher. Mind you that if a parent has a problem your job is to offer alternatives but she and I were just basically shouting at her with her saying it was fine for me to write to the Pasadena school board. I will be writing to the Pasadena school board and Los Angeles school board. My husband is a German Rocket Scientist and I had been a Spanish teacher with ten years of customer service in other industries. I was shocked how little we were informed and that we had to take him to a special program for him to catch up because Montessori had failed to tell us. He did bring a lot of artwork but I have a minor in art history so I taught him to make mixed media art, etc. Terrible school if you know how intelligent your child is and how he is being taught classes with 3 year olds. I would never recommend this prekindergarden! The worst was having a teacher fight with me. read more

Most definitely recommend Enchanted Castle! Our daughter, who is 2 years old, has been attending Enchanted Castle since November 2018. She is in a classroom that generally has only about 10 kids, so her teacher is able to provide individualized attention. Her teacher is very personable and kind, and seems to have a genuine concern for our daughter. The school also has some additional classes, such as ballet, that can be added on after the formal curriculum. Our daughter started ballet in January and absolutely loves it. Our only issue is that there are no daily reports provided, such as whether she took a nap, diaper changes, her temperament, etc. However, it is very easy to send them a message and they always promptly reply back. The Enchanted Castle is an excellent school for kids. My son simply loves the place. The staff is friendly and greets everyone each morning with a smile. The school itself has so many events each week such as cultural day, pj day, movie day etc. apart from the academics and my son loves to participate in them all. The school provides a healthy snack to the kids as well. The new management seems to be doing an excellent job by bringing in a few changes namely the Brightwheel app using which the parents have a better way to make payments and view photos of individual kids and the best thing about the school is its just around the corner from my place. read more
