My daughter has been attending Evergreen Montessori since she was 10 months old, and she's now 18 months. As a first-time mom, I was definitely nervous about leaving her in someone else's care, but the director, Rosi, was so warm, friendly, and welcoming that she made the whole transition so much easier. It gave me such peace of mind knowing my little one was in good hands. My trust in Evergreen also came from my sister's experience. Her eldest daughter attended from infancy until she started kindergarten, and her youngest is currently enrolled as well. That reassurance, combined with my own first-hand experience, has made me confident in choosing this school. The teachers are truly wonderful, always happy, friendly, and caring. My daughter has grown and developed so much since being here. They put so much love and effort into everything, from daily learning and fun activities to thoughtful artwork, gifts, and celebrations for holidays and events. Even the food they provide is high quality, which I really appreciate. While tuition is on the higher side, I honestly believe it's worth every penny. The care, attention, and nurturing environment they provide is priceless. Their hours are also very accommodating for working parents, which has been a huge help. I have absolutely no complaints and would wholeheartedly recommend Evergreen Montessori to any parent considering it. Please review before posting: My family was referred to Evergreen after we lost our home in the Eaton Canyon fire and honestly it was the best thing to ever happen to my son. Kristine, the owner, called personally to make sure we had all of the information and ensure us that we'd be able to use their services as soon needed. My very shy 3 year old blossomed under their care. He began talking more, became more outgoing and absolutely fell in love with his teacher, Ms. Katie. He definitely views her as more of a friend than a teacher. My family was in such a dark place when my son enrolled. I could barely get out of bed, let alone actively participate in his development but Ms. Katie and Ms. Rosi, never made us feel bad. We forgot pretty much everything (e.g. water bottles, clothes, forms), you name it, we forgot it but Ms. Katie would always supply whatever he needed with a smile and so much compassion that it's bringing me to tears while writing this. Due to unforeseen circumstances pertaining to the fire, we had to leave but our hearts will forever be apart of the Evergreen Family. Ms. Katie, if you ever read this, I want you to know how much we appreciate your love and attention to our little guy. Long overdue review. Wonderful daycare and school. What makes Evergreen special are the teachers and staff. These people truly care. I felt safe leaving my son in their care and knew he was loved. There was also hardly any teacher turnover, during his four year stay. Which is a sign to me that the work environment is good. My son still talks of his experiences there even a year after attending. When I asked him who his favorite teacher was he said, "I can't choose mama, I love them all." read more

Well, today my daughter "graduated" from Evergreen and is moving on to TK. She was at the school from 2020-2023. Although ownership has changed, many of the teachers have been with my daughter from the start, or for quite awhile, and the staff is very stable and consistent. We stayed at Evergreen because ultimately we trusted the staff who have been fantastic. Both very caring towards our daughter, while also providing her with proper guidance. The school is not a large building and as a result you often see the same kids/parents and it forms a nice community. Our daughter formed really wonderful friendships with her classmates. I think she is very well prepared for the next step at TK and Evergreen helped provide a great foundation for her. It's amazing to see the pictures and remember how much she has grown and matured while at the school. The staff was rude and they canceled our tour via email 20 mins before we were expected to be there. Not to mention, we were not called. I happen to open my email. I then called the school. The director stated "our campus is undergoing construction". I asked why wasn't I called since she canceled 20 mins before, she chuckled. Im sure they knew This before our scheduled tour. I cannot say enough to recommend the incredible staff and vibrant learning environment at Evergreen to prospective families. I learned of the school through word of mouth from a friend whose daughter was enrolled there and am so grateful to have discovered this absolute gem of a program. The teachers are energized and incredibly caring and make each child feel safe and supported. They are committed to fostering independence and problem-solving skills, and I have personally witnessed my child's confidence and language skills blossom during her two years of enrollment. The curriculum and activities are age appropriate and also fun. My child began in the toddler room and transitioned in time to the pre-primary and now the primary classroom. From potty training to naps, the amazing staff patiently navigated my child's development with supportive and child-centered approaches. The school site is well maintained and inviting for little ones. My child is well prepared to begin TK this summer. My daughter has been attending daycare at Evergreen for a few months now, and we have only had positive experiences. The directors are easy to reach and communicate promptly. Great school, awesome staff/teachers! Certainly one of the best decisions we made for our daughter and ourselves. All her teachers have always been so attentive and caring. They always listened to our concerns (new parents) patiently and tried their best to accommodate our needs. We've always felt so confident that our daughter was well cared for and loved by her teachers. It all made it so sad for us when we had to move, as they over time have felt like family friends to us throughout this pandemic. On our last day, all her teachers stayed till EOD to bid Goodbye to us. Granted, this was the first ever preschool we've attended, so we could be somewhat biased. Evergreen Montessori School has been a wonderful choice for our family as we transitioned to California a little over a year ago. Both my children were in Montessori school in the state of Texas and Evergreen has been a wonderful option for my child. The staff are well trained, and deeply care about the children and their families. This all comes from the value culture that the director, Ms. Rosi sets in place on a daily basis. She welcomes families, checks in with us, keeps us informed, and really works hard to build community so that everyone feels connected to the learning environment. Recently the school has undergone new ownership and the staff have made the transition so seamless as we have had to manage new pickup and drop-off protocol as they prepare for expansion, which I believe will benefit the local community. I honestly do not know how our transition to California would have been if it were not for the director and her staff here at Evergreen. They have truly been the difference maker. Great preschool! We moved from the east coast in search for the perfect early preschool for our 2 yo son. They have a wonderful program starting at 18 months and assist with potty training and the perfect balance in age range among students. Staff and teachers are nurturing, attentive and knowledgeable. Evergreen Preschool exceeded our expectations! Our son attended school there and loved every minute of it. Unfortunately, we had to move away. Otherwise, my son would still be at Evergreen. I am so impressed with Evergreen! My son has been there six months now, and the place literally gets better and better. The staff is so personal, and knows each and every child, not just the ones in their own class. It is a smaller scale school, they have such low teacher student ratio's that sometimes I pick him up and he and a teacher are sitting together just chatting it up! As a parent, the things make you comfortable are all there, pristine clean building, playground goals, great food and enriching curriculum. But the atmosphere is what really matters most to us, and as a parent, you KNOW when your child loves the people and place he spends each and every day with, that's where Evergreen hit's it out of the park for us. Our son has been attending Evergreen Preschool for over a year, and it is one of the best decisions we ever made as parents. Owners Lin and Ken have created an environment where children flourish and have the ultimate educational experience. Our son's development, social / language skills, and growth have so much to do with the level of care and experiences he is receiving from this school. Our son's first teacher was Ms. Connie - on day 1, she potty trained him! Whoa - this, in and of itself, was a game changer! Ms. Connie continued to encourage him, and also provided us with valuable tips on how to continue with the potty training experience. She provided structure and a caring environment for our son. Our son is a picky eater and having him try different foods was a challenge. Lin provided support, and came up with a way to encourage our son to try a variety of foods. We now get reports from the school that he is eating a variety foods and finishing them! Once our son was old enough to transition to the older room, he was lucky enough to have Ms. Jazmin as his next teacher. Ms. Jazmin is kind, caring, and our son absolutely loves her - we all do! She has developed an enriched program for her students, and is very responsive to emails and questions from the parents. In fact, this is another wonderful aspect of this school - the owners and teachers are very responsive and communicate very quickly with the parents. The school uses the ClassDojo app to share pictures and announcements throughout the day, and at the end of the day, the school provides a printed daily report on things like, what your child ate, how much they slept, what they learned, etc. They also provide monthly newsletters on upcoming events and what your children will be learning in the next month. And finally, even though the children are assigned to their respective teachers, ALL of the teachers at Evergreen jump in and provide support to the kids - we love Mr. Alex, Ms. Ashlee, and Ms. Connie continues to be part of the children's lives. In the past year, Evergreen Preschool provided a lot of fun and enriching activities. Some of the highlights include: music classes with Mr. Samuel, Dr. Seuss week, a My Gym event where My Gym came out to the school, farm week that included a petting zoo and pony rides at the school, and Multicultural week, where the children celebrated everyone's different cultures and even participated in a parade where the children wore cultural outfits! We always made sure to be part of these activities because it was so much fun for us as parents! The families at Evergreen are amazing too - there is definitely a community here, and you will love the parents and the other children that go here. Our son has made so many friends here that they even have play dates on the weekends! We highly recommend Evergreen Preschool for your little ones -- you will not be disappointed. The price is very comparable to other preschools around the area, and you cannot beat the quality of care and education you will receive at Evergreen. This was our first preschool that we enrolled our son and my daughter to. We had such a fun and positive experience here. I think my kids grew and developed a lot during their time here. A few things I liked about the school: - Great directors and teachers. We love Ms. Connie and Ms. Jazmin. - The teachers plan fun activities and learning experiences for the kids. - Classroom is clean and bright. Filled with lots of toys and learning tools. - Big playground with lots of outdoor toys and bikes - Diapers + wipes are provided in the infant class - 2 snacks and lunch is provided in the toddler class. - Teachers send pictures of the kiddos regularly through an app. - Parents get a key fob to enter the school grounds. Better security. - Fingerprint sign in/sign out makes it easy during drop off/pick up. The only con: - Tuition is much higher than many schools around the area. My son has been going here since they opened. He's 5 and he loves it here. He always comes home and tells me all the things he did and names all the staff and tells me how much he likes his friends there. I find the staff there to all be very friendly and kind. They always give my son a genuine smile when he walks in the door. The owner Lin is really on top of things too. If there is anything I have a question about or any little request that my son asks, she gets it done. I wish I could keep my kid here longer but he has to start kindergarten this fall. Our daughter loved going Evergreen Preschool! Starting at age two, Evergreen became her home away from home and all her friends and teachers were her second family. All of the teachers are very warm and supportive. Ms. Connie is especially loving towards all her students and is super involved in sharing the curriculum developments with the parents. We appreciated that the class groups are small - each teacher on the preschool side has a group of six kids. And we loved all of the extra activities that the staff planned for Mother's Day, Father's Day, Christmas, Thanksgiving, etc. We always knew our daughter would be safe and well taken of at Evergreen. read more

My wife and I had an awful, unprofessional experience at Evergreen. We called on January 2 to ask if they had any infant openings, as we are looking for daycare for our 9-month-old son. We were told they had 2 spots and we scheduled a tour for the next day, January 3. We met with Lori, who showed us the facility at 9 a.m.. The owner, Lin, showed up during our tour. When it concluded, we told both Lori and Lin that we wanted to sign up and asked for next steps. Lori printed out enrollment forms for us. We asked if we could fill them out that night and drop them off first thing on January 4. They said that wasn't a problem at all. We said we'd bring the paperwork and a deposit check. We spent a good of time that evening filling out the forms. We called in the morning, January 4, to set up a time to drop off the forms, and everything seemed to be all set. Shortly after, we received an email from Lori. She wrote that Lin told her the two spots were taken after Lori went home at noon on January 3. She said we could get on the wait list. We were shocked and angry. First off, we would have filled out the paperwork and given them a deposit on the spot had they told us there may be a chance of losing the spot. Second, Lin knew we wanted the spot and gave two away after Lori left, and then didn't have the courtesy to call us and explain the situation. Lori didn't know the spots were taken until she called to tell Lin that we were on our way with a check. This speaks to larger communication issues at Evergreen. Additionally, they wasted our time and we still have no solution to a daycare issue we thought was resolved. As the owner of Evergreen, Lin should be ashamed. This is not how you run a business, let alone treat people. In the long run, this may be a blessing: Why would I want my child attending a school run by someone who lacks basic communication skills and common courtesy? read more

Evergreen Preschool is a wonderful child development center. My son attended school here and would still be if we hadn't moved away. Lin and the staff are so sweet and helpful. All the teachers are knowledgeable and caring. I always felt like I was leaving my son in great hands. They really try to include all parents and families in communication and activity planning. My son just spent his first afternoon at the Evergreen Preschool. We have been multiple times, always for a somewhat random drop in before being officially enrolled. The facilities are always locked and clean. Lori and Lin are very welcoming and you can tell they are passionate about childcare. My husband and I were really impressed with their vision. Today we met Sharon in the baby room. She and Lin were able to get my son down for a nap quicker than we can at home despite unfamiliar surroundings. But otherwise we would have kept our son at Evergreen. The owners Lin and Ken are great. They care for their students and parents as if they were family. Evergreen is a lovely preschool. I immediately liked the space because it is bright, clean, and new. They also have a great and caring staff. The first thing my son told me he liked about the school was his teacher, which is important (the second was, of course, the magic sand). The student teacher ratio is great and the kids get lots of personal attention. And what a sweet, joyful bunch of kids. You can tell they are happy at the school. read more

This school is a Pasadena gem. It's brand new, wonderful facilities with a well thought out floor plan. That's just the bones of it. All the teachers, especially Ms. jasmine, Ms. Connie, and ms. Lin are so valuable. My daughter had major stranger anxiety but all of the teachers made the transition to nursery school so seamless. They also provide catered lunches and am and pm snacks! Such a great deal! I can honestly say that my daughter has grown so much since coming to evergreen and I would highly recommend it to any parent looking for a nursery for their little one.
