I learned about Enchanted from the trolley tour. As we drove by, our guide told us that if we were only going to visit one witch shop in Salem, this was the one because it's home of the official witch of Salem, Laurie Cabot, and her daughter, Penny Cabot. Probably my favorite thing about this shop is how I felt during my visit - just at peace - which lingered even hours after leaving. If feeling calm isn't enough to entice you to visit, there are plenty of other reasons. There is a whole room with books! And I'm one of those folks who can't go to a bookstore and not get a book. So, I'm sure it's no surprise that I walked away with one about my star sign and one about numerology. There are also spells for beginners that come in a neat little pouch with all you need to cast your spell. There are lots of crystals too. I might have also ended up with a few of those too. Unfortunately, I didn't plan far enough in advance and there wasn't availability for psychic or tarot readings while I was there. So, just another reason to come back! Additionally, the employees are super helpful. I really enjoyed my conversation with one who showed me a new deck of cards they had just gotten in the mail but hadn't yet put on the shelves. read more

HEAVILY recommend this place. Absolutely loved the atmosphere and vibes. The interior was very atmospheric and I liked the shops layout. They have a nice selection of crystals and a standout was also their collection of statues which agonized me cause I couldn't really consider any since I'm flying back home. A lot of personally handmade items too which I loved. There was a decent tarot and book inventory as well. The lady working the register was incredibly nice and personable. They played Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks which I also loved and just added that magic touch to everything. read more

I scheduled a 15 min reading online in October. Waste of money. The "medium" Sheila had zero skills and talked about her family. The cards were so genetic that my 11 year old son could have made up the same non-specific meanings. I believe in the month of October that they just get random people to "give readings" and cash in on the tourism. This reader was flustered and was not correct on one thing. Waste of $40. I went into a lot of spiritual stores during my visit to Salem. I felt like this was the nicest experience I had. The store smelled wonderfully. I really liked the alter when first arriving. It is a donation based alter and a meditation/prayer. A lot of beautifully hand crafted tarot boxes, and an adorable fairy home. The wands they sell are also mythically beautiful with different types of crystals with healing properties. In comparison to most of the shops, I felt that they offered fair pricing and it could make it somewhat actually affordable for people. I really liked this. I wasn't asked if I needed any help inside and this would have been nice. Needless to say, sometimes it's good to be left alone and explore for yourself and seek help if wanted. They had a separate large room for readings and the waiting area seemed tranquil and not so chaotic like most I saw in the area. The broom parking in the front made me smile. read more

I stopped in today while in Salem. I had a tarot card reading with Mark. I have to say, after having a tarot card reading at another location, prior, I didn't know what to expect. I wasn't to happy with the other place. I really enjoyed the reading from Mark. I had wished I had done the 30 minute reading. I can't explain it, but it's like he reads into your soul, with the cards he pulls I definitely will go back and recommend readings here. read more

Great small store with excellent staff. As my girlfriend and I entered the store, we were greeted by Nathan at the front desk. Nathan was very friendly and knowledgeable of the Pagan Culture. Along with his knowledge, he also gave us a psychic reading that was spot on. We were a bit upset that the Schooner Fame cruises were canceled for the day since we both requested the day off from work but visiting Enchanted lifted our spirits and made our trip to the Wharf worth wild. read more

Spent over $800 on classes and shop management can't be bothered to send me a simple piece of paper saying I completed them even after me sending five email requests asking for it. Also have had numerous long waits to receive anything ordered online. Classes were great, shop managers- not so much. Don't waste your time or energy just because the Cabot name is attached. There are plenty of other great Pagan shops in town with better customer service who have follow through on orders. Covens Cottage being one of them. read more

Some items were a little scary and I didn't know what a lot of things in there were for but it was definitely interesting to visit. I've never had a tarot card reading and I had Matt. Before the reading, I was anxious and skeptical but open minded to new things. Matt was spot on with my reading and it helped reassured a couple things. Make sure you get there early or after the rush to schedule your appointment. I will go back next year. read more

I was so excited to visit Enchanted as it had been recommended to me as being the very best in Salem. We arrived on a Thursday morning at 11am to beat the crowds. However, please note this store near the wharf is away from the more heavily visited psychic/occult shops in town and out of the way. The store was closed. I called their number and the message said they opened at 11am. We left and explored other parts of town. Upon return, the store had opened and the woman indicated they didn't change their message yet to indicate the shop now opened at 12pm. She was very helpful and suggested I call at 12pm the next day to schedule a reading with Julie who she strongly recommended. She also showed me some items I was interested in. I noted there were two other sales associates in the store as well. The store was empty. Excited, I called the next day and had a busy signal numerous times, finally left a message with my intent to schedule with Julie. No one ever returned my call. It was rainy and cold that day so I was not interested in walking to the wharf area only to be disappointed. What is it with this shop? With so many hurdles I took this as a message not to pursue further. The shop is beautiful but the prices are jacked up as compared with other shops. Very disappointed. Mismanaged. read more
