I came in on a Saturday and the hostess greeted us and told us it was by appt but that I could come back on Sunday as a walk in if I like. So on Sunday I went back. After reading the reviews I stopped by for a reading. $35 for 15 minutes. Unfortunately Richard and Lori weren't there. Those two are the only ones with great reviews online. -----I'm here to tell you to NEVER EVER have a reading with "MARY" petite blonde with shoulder length hair and bangs who wears dark rimmed reading glasses. Run if you're told she's the only reader available. Her reading was a joke. A JOKE! -----For any question you asked she gave a very general answer. Everything was positive. All great things were happening with any question I asked. Is my life that perfect? ------She had me shuffle the cards three times. We never reshuffled the cards during the reading. For every question she would lay out the next three cards till the deck was finished. ------What she was really doing was explaining the meaning of every tarot card. I've been wanting to see Lori for years and was so happy to finally have the honor of doing so. She is an absolutely authentic, beautiful, and caring soul with a wealth of wisdom. From the moment I walked in, I felt at home surrounded by her beautiful shrines to Archangel Michael, the Madonnas, and so many of the beloved saints and deities that decorate my own altars. I started going to Lori from 2014-2019. Once the pandemic hit, it was hard getting an appointment with her. In 2020, she had surgery but I managed to get a phone reading. Lori has always been a spot on with her predictions. The reason I kept going to her was because I needed answers. I knew something was wrong with me and I needed help. Unfortunately, Lori is not a psychic healer but only a witch. She had no ability to see all the spells my family was doing to me. Some of her predictions would happen, but then I never had peace with everything she predicted. I found myself spiritually attacked, from a school she predicted, a job, lover and an apartment. Whatever blocks/spells I had on me were stronger than what she could offer. Lori is a very positive person and will avoid any negative readings because she doesn't want to worry or scare you. But I only wish she was more honest with me when it came to certain readings. All her predictions caused me so much stress, anxiety, depression, to an extent of forcing myself out. I remember bringing this to her attention that I was experiencing terrible things, but she still suggested that I give it another try until I couldn't do it anymore. Too bad she couldn't see or help with the blocks/spells that were in my way. In 2020, I cancelled my appointment because due to her surgery, she couldn't make it and suggested that I should see Richard, to which I refused. This ended up a blessing in disguise because I ended up with 3 real psychic healers who were able to actually heal me from everything I was going through. Infact, one of them advised me to never go back to Salem psychics again because they were just witches but not healers. I wish I knew the difference then! I should never have wasted money, time and energy on Psychic witches. These 3 women changed my life and my advise to anyone planning on seeing a psychic, is to please do your research first. Know the difference between healers and witches. Witches will do magic for stuff to forcefully happen and you will never have peace with that. But psychic healers will help you more with anything to do with healing, spells and all that. But it was nice meeting Lori. Lori is magnificent! That said, lets back up a little. As a local business person, I understand the power of social media...especially for those that don't advertise in traditional media. I happen to live in the Federal Street area and walk past Lori's shop all the time. I was curious and went in to find out about this new addition to our neighborhood. I'm really glad I did. Between Lori and her son Anthony, everything has came true. A lot of things are a lot to explain but let's just say back when I seen Lori March 2018, she asked me who this cancer who is a firefighter. I had no idea. But she said I will meet this person and they will be a huge part of my life. That year in May I met my firefighter/cancer. Aug. 2019 .. I found out I was pregnant ... I called Lori when I was pregnant And she stated I was pregnant with a girl and that I would give birth April 27. It was hard for me to believe because the doctors said my due date was April 13 - April 22. April 26 I got induced. April 27 .... at 9:30pm the doctor stated I wasn't going to give birth until the next morning. I've visited Magika three times and highly recommend. The first visit was at the old location by the water, it was busy season and I met with a blonde woman I believe. Honestly I didn't really like her reading, nothing was accurate or felt authentic. That being said the shop was warm and welcoming. I had wanted to see Lori because my brother had told me amazing things about her but unfortunately she was booked. The shop had lots of books, candles, etc. My next visit was in February 2015 I believe, I scheduled my reading with Lori but unfortunately her husband was ill and she couldn't make it. She was so kind and called me saying how sorry she was, she also gave me and my two friends some stones she felt we needed. She recommended that I have my reading with Richard. Richard was amazing, he told me things I hadn't even said out loud! He also told me that the 2nd person I dated would be the one, he told me things about him, and said we'd have a child eventually. The readings are done right in front by the windows. But as she did my reading it felt very private, I couldn't hear the other psychic and don't believe they heard mine either. We went to Lori to get more insight in our near term future. Without asking us any questions or trying to pry anything out of us, Lori was able to accurately state our past as well as the future (which we found out later on). She saw us selling our house in MA and living in CA even before we thought about relocating to the west coast, and she was proven right when we got job offers from CA just a month after that. She was also right about who she sees around us, without us telling her who we work with or spend our time with. Overall we were very impressed with her ability to pick out things without probing. She was even able to give out date ranges for certain events to take place. With skepticism, those events actually did occur during the date ranges. I had a reading with richard and I'm going to be very honest.. I feel like I did not get my money's worth. Everything was extremely general.... "who Is the artist?" "Who is the diabetic"..... threw out some random names of people I did not know..... I was pretty disappointed because I heard so many great reviews online... I just want to give my honest opinion... it was not worth $40 for 15 minutes..... Yes there were some personality traits of mine that he got correct but I really really was looking for something more specific.... Never had a reading from here but I want one next time I'm in Salem. My review today is for items my husband purchased from Magika over the last year or two. These items include different crystals or rocks herbs and salts, I have used all these items and they have brought good fortune to my home and business. The most beautiful of the things my husband bought from Magika are the unique bottles decorated by a very talented artist, sorry I can't remember her name, but she is wonderful to work with. We have a total of three bottles (need more!) two of which were custom ordered with the help of I believe Lori, who helped my husband reach the artist to get our custom order. I was so looking forward to meeting Lori and having my appointment - I had high hopes because my cousin had a really interesting reading that had some very spot-on things. Lori was very responsive to my phone calls and a neat person. My meeting with her though, was primarily a bunch of names - "who's this... who's that..." - some familiar and others not; a lot of "everybody in the spirit world is happy - they see good for you" type comments... There just weren't enough specifics or spot-on comments to make me feel like this was authentic and real. Several times I was told: stop worrying, good things are coming to you, the people in the spirit world are happy/see good things for you, and, you're going to meet a nice man - kind, generous. That was the bulk of my 30 minutes. Then some of the answers to my questions were so general - and applicable to just about anybody.
