Biggest issue: when we visited, this hotel visibly hand-labeled the key card with the room number. That seems like a really bad idea from a security POV. Hopefully they fix this right away after receiving the feedback. New room, Plumbing worked, AC worked, otherwise the room was still kind of under construction as of July 2026. I'm sure the TP holder, towel racks, light fixtures and carpet are on their way. For all that, we slept fine. read more

Guy doing check ins was racist as all could be. Extremely rude. Waiting for footage as requested.. Says he's the manager. His name is Name is Jeff. Told my finance he was going to shoot him. Wanted to leave upon check in but no refunds or cancellations. Room was half done with paint. Fridge didn't work. Shampoo and conditioner half used. Dirty towels. No hot water. Only rating one star because you can't leave a review without. Only good thing was parking in front of the room. Walk outside nothing but homeless and smells like urine. This hotel is very old and in a very poor condition. However, I saw the effort from a hotel receptionist, who I guess is also the owner, trying to fix the issues. I gave one extra star for his effort. The original unit assigned to us was old and smelled stale.The carpet was dirty. There was mold on wood area. The outer part of window AC unit was rusty. I also saw red-color thing attached to the near-to-floor area of a bed frame, which I suspect is jam. Later, we found that there was no hot water in this unit. The receptionist tried to solve the issue first and later followed instructions of a plumber through a phone call. We waited for 1.5 hours to 2 hours, and checked with him about the progress a few times. Eventually, he changed our unit to another one. However, I found that the lock deadbolt of the front door of the second unit didn't work, and its front door had no other security latches or chain locks. Basically, everyone who had a door access card of the room could unlock the door and enter the room. The receptionist told me that having an electronic key card lock was secure enough for a hotel room, according to the requirements on hotel management. I trusted his words about the requirements. I also trusted him that he had not given and would not give the door access cards of this room to anyone else except me. However, I didn't want to take any risk, since I am a tiny woman with only a child for the trip. Around 11pm, I checked out from this hotel and found another one to stay. read more

A quintessential lesson in NOT JUDGING A BOOK BY ITS COVER. When we first pulled up, my first thought was "murder motel". I am thrilled to report that it's anything but!! The rooms are very clean, comfortable beds, cute kitchenette, plenty of space, and the kind of water pressure you dream of after a long flight or day at the beach! Speaking of the beach, it's literally up the street, allowing us to avoid the sadism that is LA traffic. The check in process was uncomplicated. Parking was tricky but it's free so it's hard to be mad at it. My ONLY complaint is that there is ZERO locking mechanism on the door to the room - no deadbolt, no chain, nothing. The area felt safe though so we decided that wasn't a huge deal. Is it fancy? No. Do they pretend to be? No. But between the location and the price, it's a seriously great find! And the best part? There's an In-and-Out Burger literally across the street. If those milkshakes don't bring you to Encore's yard, idk what will. read more

The exterior might be a turn off, but the rooms are fine. The bed was comfortable. The shower was hot. There is a kitchenette and a decent ac unit. There are wood like panels on the floor instead of questionable carpet. The woman at the office for checking in is professional and polite. I stayed at a fancy place on Ocean Ave in Santa Monica on Th. and Fri. Nothing worked...hot tub, tv, etc. and they charged over $50 just for parking. Don't judge a book by its cover. This is a tough one to write...it is a "Motel" and looked creepy and ghetto from the outside. In fact, had I seen photos beforehand, I'm not sure I would've booked here in the first place. But it was 3.5/5 on Tripadvisor and Yelp, and once you pull into the parking lot its a lot nicer overall. $136 total for Saturday night on Halloween weekend...it was a relatively good deal in the area. PROS: -Surprisingly quiet room for being so close to Washington Blvd. -Clean room and clean bathroom -Microwave, Fridge, Coffee maker, -Toiletries -Nice bed -40 inch LCD -Free parking -Walking distance to Starbucks, restaurants and few bars, I recommend Firestone. CONS: -It looks creepy from the outside. -Some areas in the room could use some fresh paint. -Front window does not open(but the bathroom window does) Conclusion: A decent and affordable place to stay 1-3 nights if you just need place to crash. You just have to mentally get past the creepy motel exterior. If they repainted in lighter colors with a 50s-60s "Madmen" style, and got a new retro-style sign, it would significantly increase the charm and be a huge overall improvement. The outside is creepy, but there is a Starbucks and In-N-Out across the street, and white girls are walking alone at night so you know its a still a safe area. read more

After researching many area hotels I found this little gem. It is located minutes from The Marina and Venice Beach and Santa Monica. It is a very small motel but the rooms are very nice .very clean and near many restaurants. It is a fraction of what you would Pay just down the street.they even have a small kitchen with a Small kitchenette and a desk area. The only drawback I saw was as I was walking down the street a couple blocks away there is a little homeless encampment near the Chick-fil-A but I did walk through there with no problem. Also across the street there is an In-N-Out Burger and also a Costco so everything you need is located within minutes of this hotel. The owners are just the kindest people in there on top of everything and anything you need I'll take care of you they really impressed me and when I come back to this area this is where I will stay read more

When I first opened the door to the room, I noticed the strong odor of what I can only guess is what they used to clean the floors or something. I am glad to say that the odor, whatever it was, it dissipated within a few hours. The decor was different than any of the little motels I have ever stayed at. I was little bewildered by the dark blue wall at first, but I got used to it. The parking was slightly difficult. The place is shaped like a rectangle and the parking is in the middle. Since there are not that many rooms, the area for parking is kind of tight and it was difficult to exit the facility as you generally had to back up a great deal before you could maneuver out onto the street. Good things: 1. I liked the fact it actually had a little separate kitchen area. Some places just put the fridge in front of the bed and the microwave on top of that. Our room also had an ironing board and an iron, as well as a hair dryer in the bathroom. 2. The television was huge! 3. Air conditioning unit worked amazingly well. 4. You get what you expect for the price. My friend and I decided to just spend 1 night here because we were going to watch a late movie and didn't want to drive back home since my friend lives in palmdale. And the place basicially gave us what we needed/wanted... decent place around the area that didn't damage our wallets. The room was fairly clean and big. They even had tolietry. Had a small kichenette w sink and refrigerator and microwave. You get what you expect. It's a 1 star motel not a 5 star hotel... As long as you know this and expect it you will be fine. The area was safe and quiet at night. Parking was free. There's places to eat at within walking distance and Costco is right infront. Overall it was good and we enjoyed our stay. read more

After a late dinner in Hollywood, and a delayed flight, we decided to find a hotel near the airport, rather than drive home and back to the airport the next morning to pick up a friend at LAX. I checked reviews, and liked this place because it is a couple of blocks away from busy Lincoln Blvd, close to Marina Del Rey and the airport, it is one story, built with a courtyard so the street noise is minimized, and has parking right outside your door. We were pleasantly surprised with how clean and new the furnishings were with nice quality curtains, furniture, carpet, bedding and paint. The counters are a nice granite, and the little side kitchen is handy with a microwave, sink, and small fridge. Looks like it would be great for a few days stay. The king sized bed was comfortable, the room was quiet, and the TV screen was huge. I would stay here again. read more

And if you catch them outside the office, they will want to make sure you're enjoying your stay and if you needed anything else. Conveniently located across from Costco, in n out, and Starbucks. I did not actually stay here. I had a family emergency, I could not. I canceled 14hrs before the booking. When I called, the woman was very rude. And said due to policy, I need to pay the whole amount for the night. I asked if they could make an exception, and if I could pay a portion of the full nights stay. Since I had no way to know this family emergency would happen. She sounded like she was getting joy from telling me no again. I said your now getting double money, since your getting mine, and can rent out the room now. I told her this is horrible customer service. And she just hung up the phone on me. So $159 down the toilet, because I had to attend to an emergency. Just know, they will not try to accommodate you for anything. read more

When asked about hot water not coming to bathtub and AC not working started arguing with me. I said i would not pay for the second night for one of the rooms (we booked two rooms ) because we were not getting the basic amenities ... the owner said "u guys want a free night". This place is pretty sketchy, I actually love it. I have stayed here many times, although they have changed a lot of it since i have been here. It's definitely not a 4 star hotel, but I remember it being affordable. Its in a nice location right on washington and lincoln. Theres a costco across the street, an alberstons, starbucks, IN N OUT!! Jesus. Most people cant even live in homes in locations like this. All the rooms have a little kitchen I think and the bathrooms are fine. They have really nice TVs. Some rooms (the ones with 2 doubles or queens) are really cool, you step down into the room. Its kind of a seedy motel, but the outside is a little deceiving. I would give it 4 stars, but the people that run the hotel are horrible. They are mean and discriminate. I don't know why or what their problem is but try to avoid talking to them. At least that is what i remember it being like....Maybe people would talk about this place more if they were nicer. read more

Rooms are attractive, comfortable, and well appointed Good size flat screens with satellite feed, HBOs, etc. Dorm size fridge, microwave, bar style sink and storage space in kitchenettes.. Free WiFi desk and rolling office chair, and another comfortable chair for sitting and reading. Mirrors and lots of windows make for a large airy feeling room. I stayed 14 days furring a divorce and this hotel helped me feel at home. A great deal at a great price, especially considering its proximity to the marina and beach. read more

I stayed here when I was moving back to LA and waiting for my apartment to be ready. The rates were more than reasonable especially considering the location. It featured a 42inch flat screen TV with over 100 channels and WiFi (not sure why it says it doesn't have WiFi on yelp) and was in a great location close to IHOP, several coffee places and the shopping centers on Maxella not to mention in walking distance to the beach. I've read some one of the other reviews on here and am quite stunned by some of the things being said by the family who owns this motel. The family could not have been nicer and more pleasant. When Ronny says he "objected" I get the feeling objected means starting a bitch fit and yelling the man's wife. And I doubt he threatened to kill you seeing as you probably would not have spent the night in his motel if he did in fact say he was going to kill you. Most motels I've stayed at provide you with a crappy TV from 20 years ago and crappy internet. This place really goes above and beyond and I can't say enough nice things about the family that runs it. Highly recommended especially given the low rate. read more

Very cute. I felt safe here and the owners were so sweet and helpful. Very charming feel. For $10 they brought a cot for my son. The best part is it was just a 10 min. Bike ride to Venice Beach. An amazing bike trail connects marina del rey, Venice beach and Santa Monica. We were busy and having fun all day. Across from the motel is an In an out so that was nice. Great clean motel. The amenities are just right. Microwave, refrigerator and huge flat screen TV. My wife and I came down on Memorial day weekend to go to Venice Beach. It's close and not so close that traffic is an issue. We even walked out one day and caught the bus for only one dollar and it took us right to the beach in 10 minutes. And did the same home. The parking is safe and secure. The location is great. In & Out Burger is literally across the street! Cheap Cosco gas is across the street. We will definitely be staying here again. read more

I just got back home, after a three night stay. I found it to be just what I wanted. Fair priced, close to the beach and Maxwells restaurant, and In-N-Out burgers is across the street. Its very quiet place. In fact The only issue I had, was the ice-machine pump could be heard in room #108. They moved me to #110. The staff is great. Parking is at your door. The rooms are clean. The bed is good. Its just a cozy place to lay your head. I will stay there again. read more

Tv is the only plus, literally! They'll tell you to put a good review on Booking.com and your forever welcome. Long story short stayed weekends there about a month while looking for a place In Venice and my sons money was taken off the end table my last stay, last weekend. I was also told I had to let them clean the room cuz of carpet w my son, which this would of never happened if I haven't been forced to let em in. When brought to their attention the male owner refused to hear me and regurgitated they're an honest business and don't steal, even tho I wasn't accusing anyone. Owners to ignorant to hear I was just asking if they could contact their maid to ask if she accidentally grabbed it. When I wouldn't take the 7 dollars my son was missing from the manager he said don't come back. After giving them over 2000 dollars in less then a month it's sad they would treat a guest who's letting them know of a child's measly 7 dollars missing the way they did. The lady informed me that if I payed by credit card their system would not allow me to reserve the room for the following day. If I payed cash then it would be possible. I honestly am speechless. Ok so I'm pregnant and was told yesterday by my doctor that it wouldn't be a good idea for me to go away this weekend. I tried to cancel my reservation but could not get through to anyone. I called again this morning and when the receptionist answered and I explained the situation she told me I would be charged anyways because it was within the 24 hour period. I told her I had tried to cancel yesterday but nobody answered and she said that wasn't her problem. She then put a man on the phone who may have been the rudest person ever. I would like to advise anyone who wants to book here to notice that any good reviews for this place are not recent. If you read any review within the last six months you will see that many people agree the staff here is ridiculous, and personally that is huge to me. Even at a nice hotel (which this isn't) bad customer service can ruin the experience but who wants to pay one hundred dollars for a dirty motel with rude people who only care about your money.
