Absolutely must see if you're into antiques, absolutely huge geodes, crystals. They have collectible's from small to ridiculously huge in size. They charge $2 dollar admission fee, but well worth it, as you can spend hours there. Highly recommended. read more

If you have $2 to "donate" (per person), it's one unique way to kill 30 minutes on Maui viewing things you don't need, and risk getting mosquito bites, dust mites, or ukus. Welcome to the preverbal end of the Indiana Jones film credits where 2 workers roll precious artifacts to stash among endless rows in an obscure government warehouse. It's everything as described minus "precious artifacts". As you're deciding to enter, owner David, appears dressed as an Indonesian Dervish, and convinces the timid to dole over 2 bucks to view his vast dusty kingdom. Don't worry though, your $2 admission gets you an incredible 50% off overpriced items he no longer wants. As you nervously enter the "fun house" narrow aisles to scan the vast collection, you'll slowly determine whether it's worth getting tetanus, or gangrene. There are hordes of interesting, colorful run-down incredibly overpriced items that boasts incredulously: "Dead Rich People" once owned. There are incomplete collections of chipped vintage mismatched dishes, old used toys from China, faded album covers of Mannheim Steamroller and The Lawrence Welk Singers. Included in the price of admission are hastily framed prints, sun bleached furniture, and of course, XXX erotic paintings and sculptures for the kids. We suggest entering the ancient tomb on an overcast day as there is a lack of moving air conditioning, lest you stir up the curse of Egyptian bacteria from an ancient mummy. Alas, If you did not find the rare treasure at a discounted 50% as promised, you can request a $2 raincheck to revisit a decade later to complete the journey. read more

We lost everything in the Lahaina wildfire, so my wife is on the hunt for replacements now that our house is rebuilt. She has known David a long time and unfortunately she found four pieces of furniture we couldn't live without. David is 83, but has the strength of a 38-year-old, as helped lift furniture onto our truck. I would have loved to have purchased the gas pump....but if I did, I would have been sharing space with it in our new rebuilt garage. read more

The owner, David, lies about where the items come from and berated me when I offered a reasonable price. His stuff is not worth a fraction of the price he is asking. Go here! Fascinating shop, I've never seen anything like it! I probably spent two hours just looking at everything. For those who complained about paying $2, what the heck!? Really, it's like a museum, hard to describe. A little of everything, clothing, furniture, art, jewelry and more! Just the history of everything there was astounding to me. Soooo much to see. So fun! I ended up buying the coolest wood table, a Dior scarf, some unique jewelry, two tropical wooden fruit pieces to compliment some I already have and a monkey pod tray. David, the owner, is delightful! Before you go to this place make sure you bring a lot of patience, ALOT of money and something to protect yourself with if you are a woman. The owner followed closely behind me as he asked questions about my life. His entire focus was on getting me to call him and pay for him to give me a massage. He told me if I had a boyfriend or husband it's even better because he swings both ways. Put your phone on record, pay your three dollar entry fee to be stalked and hope that your wise enough to leave before you buy some overpriced stolen piece that he'll deliver for free, only to get your address so he can come back and rob you. I love this shop and all it's different antiques and oddities. I try to ask the owners if there are any rules before I start rummaging simply because things are delicate. Bring your well behaved children only. The values vary but the prices are always fair and negotiable. You can ask to have things shipped too so you don't have worry about carrying your goods yourself. Definitely a cool place to visit and you never know what you might find. read more

This store has a lot of good stuff but some of it is broken, fake or not worth the price. I found this Howard Miller mantle clock and the owner was asking for 100$ it was not worth because it was broken and this other clock that had a metal casing that had a battery powered system the owner was asking for 80$ and that is really not worth it but "to the owner lower your prices on something's " but still this place is cool to go to for antique lovers. read more

The bad reviews are from boring people that want to see boring things. Loved this place and the owner. Such a great find. A cross between an antique shop and a mystical circus side show. Yes, some stuff's very expensive but we got multiple things really cheaply too. Yes, he charges $2 to get into the 2nd area, but he lets you in for free if you buy anything up front, and he let us in for free after we just said we PROBABLY were going to buy a $25 item. Some people complain that he doesn't want you to touch things. IT'S AN ANTIQUE STORE. And we loved his sign that said, "Feel free to touch nothing" haha. Cool and odd store located in Kihei at the Azeka Mall next to the PEACE ICE shaved ice Store. I'm not sure how to rate this place cause I felt like I was accosted by the owner whom shared more information about his personal life and asked far to many questions of mine. Let's break this into a 2 part review just to be fair. 5 stars on coolness of items here and dude whom was working at store a 1 star for giving me the shivers.. As for the antique store well it's packed full of interesting items to decorate your home or business. Within the first 5ft of entering your standing face to face with BATGIRLS original 1967 costume from Yvonne Craig plus signed photo. What struck my eye was Hawaiian brass hula lamp with shaking hula hips something I've wanted but frankly was distracted by the person working there I didn't get to really feel comfortable purchasing it. Like most antique store there something for everyone. Honestly if of the coolest shops on the island but just wanted to vacant after encounter with shop clerk. My friend and I paid a $2 entry fee to meet a passive aggressive store owner. Wasn't entirely intrigued by the antiques seen in there.

Loved this shop! It is a treasure trove of so many things from so many eras and locations. Some antique, some vintage, some modern, some campy, some kitsch, some ironic, and more. I ended up with 2 great skirts that came from the closets of dead rich ladies (as the shop advertises). I only wish I had more time to enjoy the shop. I will definitely be back the next chance I get. read more

If this is the only place you go when you visit the islands, it's worth it. This enormous warehouse is a cross between hoarders and a museum. There is EVERYTHING here that you can imagine and a ton of stuff you can't. From vintage clothing to tribal masks to chandeliers to geodes to furniture to knick knacks...the list goes on and on. The owner knows everything he has there and the story behind each piece (or at least he tells a believable story). If you're looking for something truly memorable, this is the place. He charges $2.00 admission and it's well worth it just for the entertainment value. Don't take little kids as they'd lose their minds and want to touch everything. The aisles are narrow, so no strollers nor wheelchairs. We stayed for over an hour and if it wasn't so hot, we would've been happy to stay 3 hours or more and we still wouldn't have see everything there is to see. My only complaint is that not everything you see is for sale, but I can understand why. read more

Uh... can this be called Nightmare Museum or the Museum of Creepy instead? Some of the stuff inside is neat but 99% of the store is really creepy and odd. I saw a head of a mannequin with its eyes missing. Is this a Halloween store? What's with all the random junk they are selling? You can try to negotiate the price for their overpriced items and if you do happen to buy something you can join their VIP club which grants you access to whatever is in the back that is blocked off... There's a section of the store that says something like "rich people only, must pay 2 dollars to enter because everything is so expensive in here". Continuous tackiness. Three words: EXTREMELY CREEPY OWNER!!! He asked extremely personal questions to my husband and myself, followed us around the dingy shop and kept offering 50-75% discount on everything. (All items were ridiculously overpriced). Said he was going to close this location as it was too much work to care for his other 5-6 stores and shipping company.. He has a little area of stuff that he charges $2 to see. The items in there are no different that the rest of his shop, some vulgar, some mundane and others that I'm sure can be found in a Walmart. He tried to sell us a rusty piece of metal that he claimed was an antique coin from Thailand, but there was no way to verify his claim. He seemed to think his word is all we would need to believe him. On a positive note, there is a very nice shaved ice shop next to this weird place so you can feel better after you step out into the normal world again. read more

It's weird and delightful, and I love all the bizarre sculptures and very-very-one-of-a-kind this-n-thats. Think of it as a museum where all the stuff happens to be for sale. I don't know enough to judge the prices on many of the items (is the 6-foot tall hand-carved 1800s pagoda actually worth $25k? how should I know!), but the prices on unique antique teak and mahogany furniture are actually quite reasonable. If I was in the market for high-quality furniture, I would buy things here; sadly my budget is a little closer to ikea than to antique mahogany. read more

I'll admit that I was skeptical after reading some not so great reviews, but after meeting David and visiting his antique mall/gallery/emporium, I would definitely recommend this place to others. David and Endangered Pieces is not your run of the mill antique shop. It's sooooo much more than that so if you're vanilla, it's probably not for you. David is eccentric, friendly, and it was really great to meet him. He's a very interesting guy and I'm disappointed that some folks would be so rude in their reviews. He checked in on us a few times to see how we were doing and to talk to us about the different pieces we were looking at. He also gave me great prices on some very unique vintage clothing. The shop itself is so vast and varied. There's a lot of big furniture, knick knacks, and a good high low collection of vintage clothing. I've been to a lot of antique shops and malls, and Endangered Pieces and David stands out for to me for a good reason- crazy big antique collection, interesting shop owner, and vintage clothing haul! read more

Quirky shop in Maui with lots of interesting pieces. It is like going to the biggest weirdest quirkiest garage sale ever. Lot of very interesting items. You could look for hours at everything. Things are crammed all over the place so you miss a lot of things if you go too fast. Many things are way overpriced. When we were there everything was half-off in the store. Even some of those prices were a bit too much, but with 50% off some of it was more reasonable. Definitely do haggle though, all prices are negotiable. Very disappointed. $2 entry fee is a scam. Most everything is labeled 50% off but the prices are still way too high for it to be anything but a marketing tactic. A lot of items are not priced and when we asked about one, the salesman looked it up on eBay and gave an astronomical price (more than what a brand new, never used version costed, I know this because I had been researching this item) while telling a story about how he bought $3million worth of stuff from a former actress and that item was one of hers. Personally I couldn't care less if an actress owned it at one point, especially if she's unnamed. Found some cool items in the clothing section but the rest of the store was more like a thrift store than antique store. No booths just isles of cluttered junk.
